Uruha Rushia plays Undertale for the first time! Chat was there in the beginning trying to give her directions, but after a while, Rushia gets sick of it and turns off chat (for herself). This leads to her playing Undertale just like any other J-RPG!

Completely disagreed... The game purposely makes you think that toriel unkillable in this fight.
It's really cool that Rushia plays this game truly blind. It's the best way to play it.
I actually killed Toriel first too but then felt so bad that I checked guides and reloaded the game. Flowey then actually says "I see what you did there. You killed Toriel and then felt bad about it and reloaded." - Love how the game reacts on all your actions. Many people completely lose out on this because they start the game already knowing that they "should" be pacifist.
As someone who played 100% pacifist with no kills the entire game on his first time one of the reasons would have to be that the Steam store page actually says in the description for the game "Killing is unnecessary: negotiate out of danger using the unique battle system." XD So I dunno who is in charge of that page but they're responisble for a lot of pacifist first-time runs.
My first playtrhough i also killed her. The game kind of teaches that getting an enemy on low xp is another way to be able to spare them, so i tried to do that with her, but the game suddenly ups the damage you do to her, insta killong her. Didn't reload, though.
I remember that I also ended up reloading... still was playing neutral after this tho, but didn't touch any of the main npcs. Also it was 2015, so it was easier to go blind without all the fan pressure and spoilers flying in your face.
@@Ellert00 This game is literally advertised as "The friendly RPG where noone has to die." That's the selling point. Undertale is meant to sort of criticize people who just brainlessly mash their way through RPGs, exactly like Rushia did here. She completely failed to realize that she was KILLING Toriel, despite that being exactly what happens when you choose to FIGHT in any other RPG.

I'm so glad i played this in my blind playthrough way back in 2015 without hints and spoilers, at first my playthrough was a neutral route and then a pacifist route. Man that was such a nice experience

@@isee4528 seethe harder lmao. Just let them discover the game. Honestly, the way Rushia is going through the game not really understanding what's going on is entertaining. And when it culminates to the point where she finally realizes everything she has done is what makes her playthrough more worth watching. There is no such thing as a correct way to play the game. Sure, there are time optimal ways to play the game, but the fact that you can kill papyrus on the first run means that the game intended for you to be able to play that way. So if you want to blame anyone, blame Toby.

That is one of the major problems of streaming this game.Other games also have these problems but i feel its more prevelant in undertale because of how well loved the characters are.I heard lots of people saying don't play genocide route to many streamers
@@aaronjake1376 basically any game for a streamer (even saw GM chess players still have backseaters in their streams). I swear, people forget that they too were once new to a certain game. My advice for those people, just shut up and watch or turn off the stream. Streamers are just playing a game. It's not like they are assembling a rocket to fly to space.

Yeah, this whole game left me emotionally compromised. Especially this part, because at first I didn't know how to spare her since her name never appeared yellow.
I didn't think fighting her would actually KILL.
And then there's Flowey right beyond her. Everything about this intro was designed to play me like a fiddle and it totally did. My heart goes out to Rushia.

Toby Fox knew that in other RPGs, wading through a sea blood was as natural as breathing. I love it.
It's been so long since I've seen someone kill the monsters but not go full on genocide, it's weirdly satisfying.
Even if Toriel got revived either through Rushia's necromancy or her loading the save, Flowey would've still guilt trip her for killing Toriel the first time she fought her which is always one of my favorite moments.
I love Flowey's dialoge after you kill Toriel and reload. Shame not many people get to see that thanks to backseaters :/
This is why the beginning of undertale is so good. The game sets up like a stereotypical prove your strength to the person who is looking after you so you can set off into the main world. But in normal games, you do some damage and they fall to their knees and get back up saying you did a good job and you'll be fine out there then they get back up and watch you leave. Instead what undertale did is actually make you kill the mentor, leaving you alone in the place that could've been a home to look back on is now a grim reminder that there a real consequences to your actions. Honestly one of the most well made intro's into a game I've ever seen

Rushia somehow being the only person to ever play through Undertale the way Toby intended is amazing.
The intended way to play Undertale is however you feel most comfortable with, just because she didn't spare Tories doesn't make that the right path
There's the people that kill out of fun. And then there's the people that kill because they don't understand the game mechanics

This is why playing games like this blind is the best. As well as seeing streamers react to these games without any prior knowledge of the game is just so entertaining. Because you get to see someone else play the game for the first time and you just want to see them make their own choices and maybe help them (only if they ask for it tho).
I don't get a ton of chances to appreciate it, since I like having intact hearing, but Rushia is truly, tremendously cute, isn't she? All her loudness is just her being a very reactive and lively girl.

Yep~ She killed all bosses. She was especially conflicted on whether she should spare or kill Asgore when the option became available to her, especially after getting judged by Sans. I think she thought it would be hypocritical or something if she spared Asgore then, so she killed both him and Flowey by the end.

Exactly, I don’t know why people immediately jump to the conclusion that Rushia is on the Genocide route when it takes a ludicrous amount of time to just be in the Genocide route. She didn’t even do the special way of killing Toriel for the Genocide route. It’s almost as if the people who assume this have never played the game or it’s been a long time and they just forgot how to properly start the Genocide route.

I just a check a clip of Marine undertale and i found a clip where she date with Papyrus so she can do pacifist without reset her save file(maybe my comment unrelated)
You cannot do the pacifist route your first playthrough. You have to get the neutral ending at least once.
I’m pretty sure she killed a few monsters at the beginning of the game

I wonder if streamers ar unwilling to reset and load a save, I bet they are reluctant to reset any game because they are streaming... normally if not streaming, I bet she would have tried it. I figured Rushia would do it if anyone. I did it blind right here and was awestruck by the results. The game hints that you should try it but none of the girls have figured it out yet. And It adds so much context to the neutral end. I wouldn't dream of telling them what to do though, I like playing blind and watching others do the same. But I hope I'm wrong and one of them can figure it out.
