the first man, retired almost 20 years ago... and he is now at over 40 .... but he did pull-up more than 40.......wow..... I cant even imagine how strong when he was in his' 20s...

I blame the organisers for not setting the rules clearly. If the only rule is most pull-ups in one min, then of course I will use kipping and half reps to do as many as possible

This competition should’ve been strict pull ups… most of them were doing kipping pull ups

Amotti is such a beast. I knew he'd be the top contestants. Hes the most versatile athlete. Great in all attributes like endurance, strength, and flexibility

While I didnt care as much as some other people about the quality of the form, I wish they did all 5 members of each team and added their score instead of only 2.

the rules were shit. Horrible form, chin wasnt even above the bar many times. Also they often refused to do full range of motion. That was the only part of the show that made me angry as a calisthenics athlete😂
Lot of pull ups there that the unit PTI would not allow you to count.

Wtf are u talking about, most of the entertaining participants ik all made it through the maze game, and the ones who made it through the redemption match (the avengers team) were very overrated, the participants made episode 6 and 7 so much fun to watch

first 30 reps are all cheating.. last 13 at least is full ROM.
They can decide amongst themselves what counts and what doesn't count. But I'm just curious ... how many strict pull ups can they do without any swinging? (Obviously more than me. Yes, I'm aware.)

The real winner was Hong Beom Seok, as he did the most with strict form and only started using his legs when his teammates told him to. Amotti used his legs and did the typical crosfitt pull-up by rowing his body. Also in the final, it was not about strenght and endurance, just who pushed the log down first. Hong Beom Seok should have won that one as well. He was clearly stronger and better.
Hong Beom Seok's arms werent even fully extended and you talk about strict form☠. Amottis arms were pretty much strict the whole time, barely a kip. That makes it even harder. Go try it yourself. Having your arms slightly bent makes it so so so much easier

Whelp a room full of cream of crop athletes agreed to count every single rep. Perhaps they didn't care about strict pull ups since that's smth only the internet cares about, since being an athlete is about functionality?

@@daulosh which actually makes it more irritating cuz theyre pro athletes.. proper form in exercise execution should be followed.. i also blame the producers for not giving exact guidelines as to what is correct and allowed.. nowhere near the strength of these guys but ive been doin competitive calisthenics for awhile now and i can say that the form isnt the best.. not taking anything from them but the kipping part is just awful as well.. still theyre amazingly strong..
@@SJPrestigeit's only my opinion but I think because two of them are fighter not someone who focus on muscle growth one is wrestling athlete which they need explosive power so they didn't need perfect form but fast form another one is crossfit who focus one reps better than perfect form maybe that's why their form didn't look good
