I was born and raised there. Moved away in my early 20s. All of my family is still there. ( been there for 100 years). Its changed so much!!! I want to remember it the way it used to be. Sometimes you can never go home again.
I have visited grand haven twice back in the mid 90’s, loved it, would of been a dream place to live ❤ I loved the Musical Fountain and the beaches are so lovely 🥰
It does not really look anything like the Grand Haven that I knew 15 years ago (where are the people?). I lived kitty-corner from the Tip a Few bar On Clinton. I could not even get internet from AT N T on that street. Maybe it was the name🤭🤭
This was summer of 2020. The people were mostly in their homes locked down. GH took Covid pretty seriously. Idk what it was like elsewhere, but it was a creepy ghost town here. People were afraid to run into other people downtown. (To answer the question of "where are the people?!") Also, I've lived in the area since about 1990.. Aside from the new walking district downtown, and a bit more construction on the waterfront, it's not terribly different, is it? Some of the existing shops have changed ownership & specialty, of course. Curious if the lack of recognition is mostly in the first half of this video (downtown) or throughout?
I love this video! Is that a Pocket 2 camera that you are using, or something else? I made a video in similar fashion to this of Muskegon. We saw signs for Grand Haven when we were up there. Makes me want to go back.
It’s a GoPro hero 5. Only problem for filming a long (10 mins+) in the summer is that it tends to overheat. Love the Muskegon/Grand Haven area - definitely worth checking out GRand Haven if you’re ever back in the area.
The video was taken early on a weekday morning during the 2020 pandemic, so that’s why no crowds. There’s normally more activity there. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I live in Grand Haven. Usually there would be more people and during the Summer time there will typically be a good amount of people meanwhile never feeling overwhelmingly busy unless its Coast Guard Festival time. A lot of interesting and unique spots.

Great videos. Moving to Grand Haven next month
Thinking of moving there as well. How do you like it?
Thank you so much for sharing this. I can't wait to live in Grand Rapids and get to visit Grand Haven! :)
My pleasure! Grand Haven really is a cool little place. I've loved visiting there and happy to share!

I lived right across from the GH fountain and after a while of the every night playing junk music. It got really old. I moved away after 3 years
You did a good job representing my home town ❤❤ thanks!!
I am so Happy to live in Grand Haven
It is a really lovely place! 🌼
That's where I grew up, but I don't recognize any of it now.

So wonderfully clean but where are the people?

@@InfamousAustinT0 That's the time I always went to Grand Haven. Wall to wall people and wall to wall boats.
Would be nice if you were to move the camera from side to side instead s much view of the side walks.
