  • We all suffer trauma in the course of our lives, from lifetime events and end of life trials. Listen as Fr. Michael describes one antidote to the effects of trauma: love.
    from John 3:16-21
God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son,
so that everyone who believes in him might not perish
    but might have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world might be saved through him.
Whoever believes in him will not be condemned,
but whoever does not believe has already been condemned,
because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.

So beautiful Father, this homily affirmed what I did before. I was anxious with my own insecurities, worries to have a member of the family use my personal things. I have the tendency to always monitor & control things and people. But I know I love the person so I prayed that God overrule my heart and let love reign towards this person. And for some reason I just kept repeating “I love this person” like a litany from your homily and it truly worked…suddenly it gave me peace..
