I have used Lowrance on several 'Yaks before, but switched over to Garmin last year. They are about the best "overall" for the money, especially when they're on SALE (BPS has the little 93 UHD on sale right now!). I"m putting a Garmin 10.6 with Live Scope on the front of my Titan-X, and might get another 93 UHD just for the Side Scan capability...! Already have the 93UHD on my little 10.5 Titan, and that's HOW I find fish (when I can get'em to bite, that is!). Lol

As you get to "Know" your kayak better, I'm sure you'll come up with more "Solutions to Problems" you''ll encounter. I have the same 'Yak, and have upgraded several little "Items", myself. About the rudder steering: If you get ALL the slack out of the system, it'll just come back when the hull gets warm and then cools off (the hull, being Poly, will expand a LOT when it gets hot...!). It happens to all my Titan 'Yaks, and is nothing to "worry" about (just the "Nature of the Beast", called thermal-dynamics!). Your 12.5 will go pretty good with the Newport NK180 and especially with the NK180 Pro, but will really "Gitty-Up-GO" with the NK300 (Mine goes WELL over 6 mph, even with the 55 amp battery installed, and has All-Day Range...!). You might want to put Anchor Trolleys on both sides too, so you can use an anchor or even a Sea-Anchor (to slow down your drifting in really windy weather). (If I knew how to make a video and put it on RUclips, I'd be able to show people how I set my 'Yaks up...! People take pictures and ask questions about all my 'Yaks, whenever I go fishing. I tell'em so they can do theirs!). Good luck, my Friend...
@@MSmith-jf5wo my kayak actually came with the NK180 Pro, brand new, with a battery. I wanna use it but also wanna get some exercise too so I’m peddling for the time lol. RUclips is pretty easy honestly. I could probably do most of what I do on just an iPhone with a couple apps. You should give it a try!
@@WatchEmFlop It has way less play in it, if any at all. Which makes it easier to turn the handle. It also sits a couple inches higher, making it a little more comfortable to reach.
Gratz on the kayak! Nice setup and video. If didnt know already, the standard wheel set for the barcart has slots to loop the tie down thru and will elimnate the rubbing issue and probably your slack line issue. I have both sets of wheels and the sandwheels really don't spin as well as the regular wheels. Keep up the good content!

Upgrading that handle will change your life! I went with the Berley Pro after 2 years of debating it and I am so mad I waited.
