Do not forget it is affordable as a US citizen, less likely if you on 1000 euros a month salary.

Of course everyone's budget is different. Our budgets are for two people as well. This video and all of our videos are from the perspective of slow traveling nomads who spend weeks to months at a time in locations around the world. Living in one place offers a lot of advantages especially far better prices on accommodations which make up the largest expense for us.

This was a helpful video. Your monthly costs were very reasonable. My wife and I just retired this year and are heading to Albufeira from mid January to mid March. Super jealous regarding how good your plan with T Mobile is. We wish we could use our Canadian cell phones while away but our provider charges $15/day (each) to use our phones in Europe...argh! BTW, any particular cheap wines you'd recommend? I know wine type is a personal choice but interested to know which ones you liked the most. Thanks, Gary

So glad the video helped! Your Portugal plan sounds great! THere are so many great wines to try. The best part is they are ALL pretty cheap. I (Joel) like white wines and had great luck with a few of the box wines. I would simple suggest avoiding the 1 Euro wines. I found some tasty wines for 6.50 Euro for 5L. Michelle preferes the reds and found some good one in the 2 - 6 Euro range. I remember one brand with "JP" was good.
Hope that helps and have an amazing time! We truly loved our time in Portugal and can not wait to get back!

We really enjoyed VRSA the most as it fits our wants the most right now.
