Same. It's now my favourite song. I swear I've heard it in a dream before. There's just something incredibly nostalgic yet heavenly about it. Perfection.
"Do not let this thing you got go to waste Do not let your heart be dismayed It's here by some random disclosure of grace From some vascular, great thing"
It's a warm Friday Night here and I have just discovered this band and this song Go Farther in Lightness and I am crying as I think of my dear brother who has just passed away to the next deminesion. OH MY GOD> he is in the light. YES he is. I know this. Our deep connection and this song is so deep and what we need today. I am not young in age but I love music and so did my bro.. I will never forget this song and Know that my brother would have loved this. A HUGE THANK YOU TO A gang of youths and this remarkeable sound. Play on. Young men. Play on
Just discovered this band...an Australian I work With up here in Norway tipped me about them. Cannot stop listening to this song -- have it on repeat...what extraordinary Depth, both in the Music and the lyrics. These guys show the rest of us how it should be done ….thanks G o Y!
The lyrics were composed, inspired by a Bukowski poem titled "As the spirit wanes the form appears". The strange thing is that it feels like the context of the poem falls short of the lyrics, not because they both connote different things contextually, but also in the song, there is an advanved story-telling beautifully done. When I close my eyes I can totally picture the scenes in my head
How do you know this? David is so unbelievably magical in his expression. To many of us this means we have similar frequency and synchronicity. Feelings do not lie, truth is in what we know.... advanced storytelling fascinates me.
@@quentinparker8333 Le'aupepe himself said it was born out of of a recurring dream he had, which was getting more intense each time he had it. He said: It’s about being scared I would lose everything that I loved or cared about. It was something deeply repressed, but once I let it out in the song, the dreams stopped. No indication that Le'Aupepe even has read Bukowski.
Amazing, how Dave's humble observations describe how the only thing that matters is what we choose to share with each other. Thank you, my dear tortured friend, let's drink a billabong of suds....
I like a lot of Indie/Alternative music and I think this one is a gem. The lyrics are awesome and the song arrangement sets a mood. This live performance is especially good.
Yoga Dork I’m pretty positive they replaced the drums, the live drums probably couldn’t get the vibe right. Hard to get drum verb on a live snare. It’s not truly live I guess but it’s still awesome
Just watched the new single a few times and had to come here for this masterpiece.....one of the best songs ever written..and that's a fact! So glad these guys are back.
These dudes are out of this world…I’m so stoked that SXM inspired me to discover their work beyond Angel of 8th Ave! They’ll make it real big globally. Amazing sounds and lyrics, I can’t stop listening, my God!
Bravo. Apart from the amazing musical talent and superb lyrics, it's the passion in their performance that makes me emotional. They are loving what they do and there is nothing on earth more important than that. Hats off boys.
The National is exactly what I heard when I first heard this song. The album - which is friggen incredible - has a bit of a Sun Kil Moon vibe for me as well.
This song breaks my heart everytime because my experiences with love have been exactly as described here. I've sought out love in the wrong places because I've always felt like I really don't deserve the real thing due to shame stemming from my past experiences. Now that I am learning to love myself and actually meeting people who reflect the same love to me, part of me still fears my old habits and misconceptions will take over again and I'll lose everything. But I have a lot more hope now.
Dave has a jason mamoa meets ledger sensibility which is really cool and a Vedder voice for storytelling that is like all kinds of awesome, I give this song a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10, I gave unison an 11, and let me down easy is only a 9 lol
So I have this dream It comes like twice in a week It's been so for years and years on repeat And since then I've not had a full night of sleep 'Coz it plays out the same way I live with this girl and our kid I'm as happy as a pig rolled in shit It's postcard, I'm settled A pirate no more A gypsy at most with no mortgage It's boring but in the most exquisite of ways No carcinogenic and humdrum malaise And it's strange, all the things that I've run from Are the things that completeness could come from So anyways, we're happy and impossibly so It's earth and it's heaven all simpatico Floorboards laid out and the walls painted white My dream self and I like the same things They're all set to leave and I kiss them goodbye They go and get groceries or something…
There's an awesome story to that. Apparently Dave's first memory is watching MTV with his sister; you can guess which song was playing. See if you can spot the Slash skullbones on his arm :) Being a song about memories, it's an ode to the legends

Can hear all the bands mentioned below especially the Pumpkins, the verse vocals remind me of Pink Floyd. Absolutely great song the 1 thing i would have loved is a gilmouresque like lead break - a comfortably numb type solo but that"s just nitpicking, great job G.O.Y
This is one of the most amazing songs I’ve heard in years
For sure the whole album kicks arse
Same
Yes totally, was cycling late night in London and this tune played randomly on my phone, waht a great moment I had
I listen to it everyday since I discovered it

Jaa riktig? Jeg elsker dem
See them in concert if you ever get the chance. They're great. This band was a constant companion during the darkest 3 years of my life.
This song is like seeing Grief in a crowd, hugging and then dancing with them
They're absolutely passionate musicians...connected and grounded. Timeless lyrics with a sound to create lasting memories.
The first time I heard this song, I heard it on the radio on JJJ while I was driving and I was in tears by the time it ended, just beautiful
Me too, I had to pull over and record a snippet so I could work out who it was later.
I’m stuck in a loop - can’t stop listening to this song! All my cells are swaying side to side holding a lighter in the air!
I somehow pictured that! lol
he he ❤
John Snow is the best singer I've ever heard!!!

Hands down, this song is a classic
The story they're telling with this song is amazing. What a band.
One of the best songs in a couple of decades.

I love this song! I'm going to see you guys in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday. Please play this. 🙏❤😍
the alternate universe they deliver is simply amazing. Go FURTHER. in Light.
His voice touches my soul
The fella on guitar is superb. Great sound. World domination beckons for sure.
Feels like this is what my soul has been crying for years. Thank you. Peace to you...
Have a cry every time I hear this. Amazing.
Incredible. This is mixed so well too. Those drums sound absolutely amazing.
The drums don't seem to match the audio or is it just me?Love the song btw.
Yoga Dork I’m pretty positive they replaced the drums, the live drums probably couldn’t get the vibe right. Hard to get drum verb on a live snare. It’s not truly live I guess but it’s still awesome
Ya no recuerdo la cantidad de veces que esta canción me salvo de la angustia de vivir. La música de estos tipos es algo realmente mágico.
Lo mismo me pasó brother ! un alivo saber que no estoy solo !

This is amazing I don't think I've ever been so excited for an album to drop
I just love this song so much
One of those songs that will save you.
the best track from a simply stunning album
This video transcends anything I've seen on youtube
Just watched the new single a few times and had to come here for this masterpiece.....one of the best songs ever written..and that's a fact! So glad these guys are back.
So happy to have found this song. Even happier to see their performance. Donnie's face at 6:51 is the best though!

Heard this song the other day for the first time and lived it immediately.
Bravo. Apart from the amazing musical talent and superb lyrics, it's the passion in their performance that makes me emotional. They are loving what they do and there is nothing on earth more important than that. Hats off boys.
Brilliant song, keep them coming guys
This is so beautiful song, make me cry and I love it.
I hear the National, old Pumpkins (tail end of Mellon Collie a flavour of Moby (in a good way). Very nice.
U2 too?
I'm heard SP too. I am also hearing Zep's Thank You and Duran Duran's Ordinary World.
The National is exactly what I heard when I first heard this song. The album - which is friggen incredible - has a bit of a Sun Kil Moon vibe for me as well.
Bang on. Love that someone else hears Mellon Collie influence and Moby is a nice get!
This is bliss, it's mellow but as the song progresses it brings a feeling of resilience and recovery, so it's positive not a downer.
I'm blown away...

J Awards in Oz Tommorow for Album Of The Year with Go Farther In Lightness. Brilliant live at Thebby Theatre Sept 17!!!

My new favorite band
Wow. I found this 14 days ago - that means I've heard this song 28 times. Still don't know the words. Love it nonetheless.
The words are "uh luva rrghmmhmm a see my girl look at our keed humamammm walk in a room ahmmhmmhmhmmhm"
Can not wait for Toronto Show..do not let your spirit wane...
This is utterly brilliant.

OH SOO GOOD
Discovered 2021.
Great Aussie band
Still love it c o a times that is keep it up
the best thing.
execellent video
Nick Mason eat your heart out! :D - This is my new favourite.
So I have this dream
It comes like twice in a week
It's been so for years and years on repeat
And since then I've not had a full night of sleep
'Coz it plays out the same way
I live with this girl and our kid
I'm as happy as a pig rolled in shit
It's postcard, I'm settled
A pirate no more
A gypsy at most with no mortgage
It's boring but in the most exquisite of ways
No carcinogenic and humdrum malaise
And it's strange, all the things that I've run from
Are the things that completeness could come from
So anyways, we're happy and impossibly so
It's earth and it's heaven all simpatico
Floorboards laid out and the walls painted white
My dream self and I like the same things
They're all set to leave and I kiss them goodbye
They go and get groceries or something…
Hear the sweet child solo in it, what a tune
There's an awesome story to that. Apparently Dave's first memory is watching MTV with his sister; you can guess which song was playing. See if you can spot the Slash skullbones on his arm :)
