  • I didn't find a good spot for bushcraft, but their is plenty of woodland in my area to explore

    Great video, try fishing the eggshells out with the one half of the broken shell. Sounds weird but it works, and your fingers don’t get dirty

    That hexamine (if that's what it was) burned very fiercely indeed. I used that stuff everyday during my (Australian) Army days and it never burned like that (would have given our positions away). I have heard that most of the hexi is made in a major Asian country these days and they blend it with paraffin wax which burns like napalm! The stuff we used came from our ammo factories as the stuff is a by product of explosives and had a very slow even burning rate (harder to see the flames and less wasted heat). These days I use Esbit tablets, which aren't too bad, although I think they way also use a bit of wax additive, as I wouldn't be able to get away with having a brew in poor light conditions like I did in the old days!
