Stainless Steel Cup for Aeropress Go

Stainless Steel double wall insulated cup for the Aeropress Go. Found it in the outdoor store. Capacity of the cup is 440ml, so more or less the same as the original Aeropress Go cup. All set fits in perfectly. There is a weight penalty because steel cup weights 80 g more than the original plastic cup, and the red cover cap is slightly loose on the steel cup. One more small minus is that filter cap falls into the cup because of its round shape when you want to wet and drain the filter (original rectangular shape cup holds the cap if placed correctly), but it is easily solved putting the stirrer into the cup (see at the end of the video). Advantages are that the coffee stays hot longer, and steel cup is more easy to wash, especially if you need a cup not only for the coffee, but also for eating and preparing soups, or other travel food containing fats or oil. And of course, for many the aesthetics of drinking the coffee from the plastic cup is not the most pleasant. On the other hand the plastic cup warms up your hands.

great video! would you tell me the diameter of that circle we use to press it down? i mean the circle that touches the palm of the hand... i'm trying to build a small kit

Hi, thanks for asking. Outside dimensions: H 105 mm, D 85 mm. Inside H 97 mm, D 78 mm.
