    If you install one of these don't put it in the wall behind the toilet. Put it some where that you can easily service it or replace it if needs be.

    I live in Florida (no basements). I am looking into installing one of these outside for an outdoor toilet near the pool deck so people dont have to run inside. Do you know if I can hook the discharge into the 2" cleanout cap that will be right next to the toilet? That is the only option I can think of without destroying the foundation of the house. Thanks

    • @MyFortressConstruction
      @MyFortressConstruction 6 месяцев назад

      You can hook the discharge up to any sewer line that is properly sloped and plumbed to code (just don't turn a dry vent stack into a wet one if that's not allowed). If you do use a sani-T clean out then you will lose the a ility to use that clean out to unplug things. I would probably add another sani-T on top so I could break things up if needed.

  • @Wanker59

    I wonder if the macerator unit could be positioned lower. By that I mean cut or break up a small amount of concrete and put the unit say 8 to 10 inches down thus eliminating the need for a raised shower or bath. The toilet connection would then need to be elbowed down to reach the inlet port of the macerator..

    • @jakekucharzyk

      I was actually thinking of building the whole floor in the bathroom on a raised platform and that way you don’t have the step up shower issue.

    What happens if there is an issue with the macerator system? I’ve seen reviews that toilet paper gets stuck or they need to replace. If it’s behind the wall and drywalled in, how are you able to access it?

    • @bkkcanuck

      I can actually answer that for you, what I did was NOT drywall the section in front of the pump which is directly behind the toilet. I left a hinged panel painted the same as the room and when I need to access the pump simply unhook and remove the toilet lift up the hinged panel and I full access to the pump.

    As someone with part of their job is to maintain buildings… please do not put this behind a wall. The company I work for has quite a few of these behind a wall and it’s so much more of a pain in the neck when these things are behind a wall so if something goes wrong with them expect a increase in your bill because you have to cut into the wall, or if the pump fails and leaks well self explanatory.. leave it behind the toilet but not inside a wall.
