I just recently started watching Bleach and this song kept coming to mind. I haven't even really listened to it at all, but just knowing that it exists drew me here.
It would make for an excellent AMV cover over a montage of Ichigo training to infiltrate soul society
I saw quite a bunch of Bleach AMV with this song that are amazing! It perfectly captures the vibe of the Soul Society Infiltration saga.
Kamelot is seriously one of the best bands ever. Their songs have so much meaning.
⁰00
This album was full of amazing singing melodies and guitars omg. I was 19 and I used to have a sony discman and omg all those memories!
One of the greatest Albums since the concept of music came into being.
They certainly did a fucking excellent job of it.
TIM
My good taste in music brought me here
***** Así es mi querido amigo! de eso se trata la música!
+SplinteredX Enter Shikari avatar? Yeah, that's definitely a good taste you've got there. ;)
Yes!! still rocks today and forever \m/
If you are into Bleach anime you would know that this song could be a great intro to soul society arc
Yeah.. Very2 epic for asmv
These are one of the most powerful and meaningful lyrics I've ever encountered in a song. Huge respect for Kamelot!
omg ten years and this song never gets old. Roy Khan, dudes... Roy Khan!
Dude's just that good. He really sells the song with the power of his vocal chords. And every other one he performed with Kamelot.
a masterpiece never gets old!!
You could say... Nothing ever dies.
:)
One of the greatest singers. He was awesome, he can sing everything he wants , the way he wants
A completely underrated band. My favorite song of theirs.
this song represents why i like this amazing band
Great melodies and passion with good lyrics
Roy Khan = Legend.
I saw this song on a site a little while ago. Someone said it preaches atheism... but I don't see that at all. To me it feels like the song is saying expand your mind to more than just religion. There is a lot more out there that we don't understand...and can probably never understand.
The only sensible comment here...
Even if it was preaching atheism, is that a problem?
BabakoSen Exactly, there's nothing wrong with preaching atheism. I agree with Rabid though, the song doesn't preach either religion nor atheism, it just tells you to open your mind to new things and posibilities.
Love this song.....brings back great memories, of listening to it 24/7 when playing WoW back in TBC days.
Amazing song, amazing voice. Please Roy come back to music.Greetings from Greece!
Whoa. So much later and still so profound. Thanks for this, Kamelot, from the bottom of my heart.
Can really hear Roy Khan's faith coming through his music, this song especially.
He has one of the smoothest and most satisfying vibrato in rock
🙏 *All for one and one for all* 🙏
Just wanted to clear this up (some people don't seem to know), this song is part of the story being told in the album (black halo) and is the sequel to the album epica. I'd suggest googling the albums to get the full meaning and the intended meaning of this song. Good listening people!
+BlackestNexus Post a Link to the meaning of the song would be Great for those that don't want to google it cuz were to lazy Lmao
Discovered this gem while playing step mania so many years ago and till this day I still jam out on SM to it.
"We once again enter Ariel's troubled mind. He laments the afflictions with which humanity is chained. He wonders how such evil and misfortune came about as the result of his good intentions of finding the ultimate truth. He remarks on the insignificance of human life. Above all, he wishes that humans could live in a free and perfect world, but knows that it will never happen. And once again, he is tormented by his role in the death of Helena and the unborn child." - What this song is about.
One of my favourite songs of Kamelot. Maybe one of the greatest metal bands of this time
this is the first song ive heard where the lyrics arent about love or material possession or some stupid shit and actually focus on the big picture. Amazing song
You didn't heard much so...
+SoShinyRS I Completely Agree
check out the rest of the album... or any of their other stuff... this is part of a story
The song becomes more profound and deeper when all you love is gone and everything you live for is hopeless
"Very instrumental". Whoever you are, you are very sweet. :)
The best questions ever asked. The only ones that matters, thus eternal, and unaswered.
It would be so cool to see him audition on 'the voice' and sing one of his own songs just to see what the other judges say then be like, thank's guy but I won't join the competition. LOL
Great song...I remember countless evening playing WoW and listening to this.
One of their best songs. So inspiring!!!
Me as a Christian can understand the struggles Ariel has. It's a song about our greatest questions about LIFE, actually about the afterlife.
Although your faith could give you answers, its still pretty hard to understand. But I won't give up.
Very instrumental, much wow, such tune :D
Beautiful.....Roy Khan is more than simply amazing :)
Brilliant lyricist!!!!!!
The first song I ever heard by Kamelot in a Wow video even, and I was hooked. Still missing Roy, but at least we got the records.
Gforce 2 warrior pvp
Bleach brought me here :D awesome song form an awesome band
YES. All hail Bleach and Kamelot!
@Bryan Fuentes Lol hes (Edit: or she) an anime fan, no evidence of being a weeb. - Admittedly I had to look up what it meant.
You guys seems to don't get the point of the music. Of course it tells the history of Ariel, but it's in fact a truly atheistic song. All the questions in the music are considerable for the ones who can't accept the simplicity of how society thinks. They cleary put in the lines the reasons that believe in a God is a contraditory thing. For exemple:
"If it all fades to black, if I born once again? Then no one really is free.
Here he basically says: If me, as a human die and all my life, my personal feelings is over, well. No one is free from life and your singularity as person doesn't matter for the reincarnation, you'll be lost anyway.
"How could I be condenm for the things that I've done? If my itentions were good".
Here he says: every person has his own truth, how could a person be condenm for doing what his personality says? Even a religious person can do bad things using the Bible as reference (How they did in the past). And for these persons, they are all right and faithfull to God"
There are so much more, but I am lazy right now to tell al my ideias in a youtube comment, but the principal sentence obviously is:
"How can we believe in Heaven? Human reasons counters it's all, Ideas of a Soul Society, our lives are just a fragment... Of the Universe and all, there must be more than we can see"
The human society allready overcame the Religious dogma with all the knowlege produced in the past centuries, but refuses to accept the death as our end. The humans feels too much special as spicies and the song goes on questioning that feeling when he says "in the concept of time, we're like a grain in the sand" or "and we stribe for the flame, as if death was our aim cause we cannot understand". Then the humans not satisfact for being the only animal gifted with racionality, search to the irracional to explain the greatest thing that we'll never understand: death. Besides created a system to try to explaim it and make it as our "aim" for life.
Interesting thing about the song that I always had with me, since 15teen when I allready used to philosofy about these things all the time, never couldn't scap from these questions and it wasn't induced about anyone since my parents and my neighboards are Christians. I always thought the same way "How I wish there was a heaven". It's too much confortable thinks this way, but I can't be so hopefull. Maybe someday I change my mind as Khan did. Who don't want to see their families again when they left us and all this over? But right now, I can't be that otimistic. Human reason counters it all, this ideia of a Soul Society. In all that big universe where:
"we're a second in time,
we're the last in the line
of the preys that walks the earth
good and evil combined"
(Memento Mori)
There's must be much more than we can see.
After all I think I was not lazy at all, sorry for the big comment and thanks for read my conception of the world. Hope you who readed all of that take a lot productive questions by what you readed. Sorry if I wrote some sentence wrong, I am a Brazillian and my English is just average.
knowlege is power, and peace!
Cheers!
It's not atheist, it's agnostic.
Is the story of a character name Rukia Kuchiki from Bleach. Watch the first two seasons and you will get it.
Chris M agnosticism and nosticism is a knoledge claim religious people can be agnostic. athiesm and thiesm is a belief claim. they're two different things just as cheddar cheese and white cheddar cheese is still cheese
@@stevejobstampon101 besides those you also have the believes that faith/no faith is inherently bad for everyone without making a claim that one or the other exists
You can be a thiest while being anti-thiest. Thought i would nake it a little more complicated ^^
I think the first couple of seasons of the anime bleach were inspired by this. And actually, if you think about it, the author has made characters with Rock and Roll inspired powers before. Grimmjow's zanpakuto is named "Pantera" and it's release command is "Grind" as in on a guitar?
Didn't the story of the first few seasons of Bleach already exist at this time, though? I checked, and the manga was already 16 volumes in by the time this album released.
@@mike4life0 I dunno, maybe a leak? Maybe they released a preview? hang on, I've got volume 17 right here... according to the inside cover, bleach was first released in Japan in 2001. *checks* the Black Halo was released in 2005. And it says on the inside cover of my copy of volume 17 that Bleach the anime was released in 2006. Well this is just... odd. I guess Kamelot ARE Bleach fans.
Q hermosa melodia...toca mi alma...
Love the song! Yeah, I'm a Christian, and of course I have some differing opinions of how the universe works other than this song, but I perceive it as the confusion and anguish that goes through every man's soul upon hearing the Gospel. While, yes, there are harsh truths to the Gospel, it's really about love.
Don't judge me, and I won't judge you ._.
GETSUGA TESHOUUUUUUUUUUU!
It also reminds me bleach, everytime I listen.
my fav song by all times.... The singer are just the best in my taste
I found Kamelot from my brother and I want to find other good songs by them that re really good. I love Moonlight
Well start off first with the rest of the songs from the black halo.. they're ALL phenomenal! (Hands down their best album.) Then move on to some others...
Thanks
I love how this sounds as a whole. At first I didn't like the chorus but it's like he's showing how both sides have their doubts and that we simply can't see everything.
@TheSmartSheep Song is great, you are right. But I really don't get the rest of what you have said. Listening a song sang by a choir? Of course it sounds nice but it doesn't change anything or shock someone, come on! Could you be so nice and explain me would did you mean on private message, because it's Kamelot's video and I don't think it's a place for such a discussion ;).
My favorite song for years and yet haven't met a single person who gets the lyrics.
I feel your pain lol.
Oh, lyrics. Convenient. Pretty sure I know most of this by heart though.
Greetings from Turkey! I like this song.😎
Greetings from Czech republic to Turkey ..
@@so_qp thank you :))
The whispering. I've been listing tot hat for years and this is my interpretation:
I hate this natural world, we need a new system. Do you believe in god. Did you think .....
When you friends listen to classic metal and then i look into other bands and here i am the best song I've ever listen to
Tommy and Roy have two different voices. I love them both so much I can't decide which albums I want to listen to...
an artists inspiration is their own and even if they make a song and post it on the internet it is still their song. no matter what peoples interpretaionts of what he or she or they mean it is their interpretation and their understanding of what they mean that makes u question what they as a group mean. i love this song. " how can i be codemned for the things that i've done when my intentions where good?" if u have ever gone to great lengths for someone close to u or otherwise u would understand that phrase. human reason is y ppl dont believe in heaven. they cant see it. its a fact of life but u cant see the wind right? or the magnetic pull of the moon which controls the ocean. no matter what skepticks will arise nd ppl will make shit into fights cuz they want to. how bout we all agree to disagree nd just love music? i do but do u?
respect on the upload!
Believing in a god or not doesn't make someone a good person, I have more soul capacity and more self awareness than 99% percent of christians out there and im an agnostic and still have my own perception on life and the energy that moves life forward.
The instrumental version of this is awesome. There isn't one, of course, but I once had headphones that broke, and would cut out the vocals perfectly in anything I listened to. Except Sabaton xD But yeah, when I had those headphones I got to listen to instrumental version of all of Kamelot's stuff :P
what a gem
2:26 Very Instrumental, Such brake, wow
i always loved the radical change the song took in the middle
Soufiane Artwood what do you mean exactly?
Kamelot is the best band ever. Period. :)
i have been searching fo this song for 4 fucking years, and now i found it
"Human reason counters all, ideas of a soul society."
You're pretty awesome with your professional copyright disclaimer. Good job! People should follow your example. (Who knows, it might even work...?)
A forum is a medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged.
WA! Kamelot best era, Roy Khan the only one!💜💜
Powerful + Soulful = Roy Khan
So beautiful :)
"How can we believe in heaven? Human Counters it all."
I doubt that, but if it is, I think the 'Religious Discussion' thread was about 10 pages back. This thread is for sick tunes, let's keep it that way. :D
I am so glad I am not the only one who thought like this!
I would not have found such an amazing band if not for Bleach
Magnificent!
Epic song!
A few of the lyrics are "fade to black" ring any bells?
@TheSmartSheep Actually what you are describing "Someone who believes god exists, but doesn't personally intervene with our lives" would be a Deist, you would be a Theist who specifically believes in the Abrahamic god in addition to his son (or god himself depending who you ask) Jesus Christ, you may also believe in the holy spirit thus the trinity. Google up deist and theist.
What a great song!
I love the "very instrumental" lol
very instrumental LOL, definitely loved that part
Shut up...and enjoy this master piece!
This.
Is.
BLEEEAAAACH!
this song makes me think of the whole 'Rescue of Rukia' arc
YES in fact there's a music video of that. lol.
Best arc in the series.
I want this song to be played at my funeral!!!
Awesome & Introspective song...Kamelot + Roy Khan Rocks \m/
BEAUTIFUL
Very beautiful !!! 😭😭😭
my top 3 are Forever, Karma and Soul Society
what happen to roy did he saw the devil and decide to quit?
flawless lyrics!
The gothic typography is not for reading, in a lyric video would be recommended the use of a sans serif font such as arial or calibri.
wow this is so beautiful song!!!!
@Kapunator What is satanism. I always thought it was about worshipping satan
I'm a Kamelot fan.
Great song.
Times when Kamelot did good music. Now they've become a common average band.
This is the first song I've ever heard from Kamelot. I am now a major Kamelot fan and I have touched the bassist's hand. :D *squeeeeeel*
Kamelot is fucking badass. Thank god for Roy Khan.
I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SONG!!
HATERS GONNA HATE
POTATOES GONNA POTATE!
Is the song talks about reincarnation? What do you think dear?
Gforce and old wow pvp days ♥
Its my favourite of kamelot
The laughing baby at 2:45 is Thomas Youngbloods daughter or son.
I really really do. I mean come onnn, this is the best part!! :( Hope it will come back. :)
Let me assist you in making you feel special. You are clearly correct about everything you say because you have OBVIOUSLY died and seen Heaven, or traveled back in time to prove all the baseless claims you have previously stated MUST be true, because you have done those things. Your vast amount of knowledge and experience and the clever way you present an argument with the plethora of facts spread perfectly over your last block of text has NO holes in it what-so-ever, because you're clearly
KAMELOT
The whisper is awesome! "Did you think we'd miss you?" Obviously not >_>
My life is just a fragment of the universe.....perfect!
@SNESpguy I think Kamelot actually aimed for that in this song... just speculation of course but would be awesome if that was true :P
I propose to you a question, If i said that there were fairies in my garden and daemons in my bedroom, you would think that I was crazy and that it was false. Now If i say there is an all powerful wizard in the sky who created everything on Earth it suddenly changes to 'you cant be sure'. So my question is this, why is an all powerful wizard more believable than fairies in the garden, or daemons, or ghosts or imaginary friends?
