    I don’t miss:
•the morning rush (this reason alone makes homeschooling worthwhile)
    •homework
    •special attire for theme days/weeks
    •bullying
    •children pressured to grow-up faster
    •not seeing my kids

Yes. Columbine happened right after I graduated, it was pretty shocking I remember. I kinda thought then I would homeschool even though I hadn’t married or planned on having children yet. I definitely don’t miss the mean girls or competing with getting into groups so you could be more popular, and definitely the bullying. I was bullied at a really young age. I really wish I could say I miss being a teenager as well but I don’t. 😂 Best to all in the homeschool world.

I don’t miss the teachers telling me how my boys can’t sit still and be quiet!

I have one cousin who is currently homeschooled. At first, I thought the decision was absurd but now i know why my uncle went with this. There was a time when almost everyone used to learn occupations from their respective fathers. My grandfather never regretted that! Love your video!

I don't miss spending over $100 a week in gas. Our daughter's school was on the opposite of side of town from where we live and work.

I've was blessed to be homeschooled my whole life, but for one school year I worked at an elementary school and boy was that all I needed to solidify my decision to homeschool when I had kids (of which I do now, and my eldest will start Pre-K this year), but here are some things I'm glad I don't have to do:
    - Buy enough school supplies for everyone in the class - per child!
    - Get out in the cold, and other undesirable weather.
    - Deal with all the stupid rules and regulations.
    - And of course all the other things that have been mentioned in this video and comments section!

I hear ya! My husband and I just had the same conversation as we were driving past a really long pick up line. My family wasn't military, but I went to 10 different public schools growing up, so I am so grateful that we decided to homeschool our children from the beginning.

Yes, after losing my sister to Columbine and nearly losing my brother, I knew I would never be able to send my kids to public schools once I had them, even though the idea of homeschooling still scared me at first. Been homeschooling 3 wonderful kiddos for 10 years now. Easily the best decision my husband and I could have ever made for our kids education and daily well-being. 😊

I do NOT miss having to yank my infants out of their warm cribs every morning and taking them in subzero weather to drop off... to which we had a literal 10 min window for drop off before being marked late. I also don't miss crying when I would drop them off bc I felt like I never would see them. Plus the pick up was always somehow just when I had gotten the babies down for naps....Also don't miss the inevitable bad weather every spring for spring break. In my opinion kids should be outside as much as possible during the nice weather days.

we started homeschool after all the mask crap! one kid of mine would cry just the thought of it and was asked question a 8 yr old has no clue about! i don't miss PTA moms that where mean, not getting up early, bullies, poor kids on bus rides, BIG one homework... i think 8 hours you cant get it done than they should have to bring it home!!!!!
also found out/ looked up our school district allows very inappropriate books! THIS WAS CRAZY!! so i have a friend with a 10 yr old special needs was told to fill out a paper asking if shes a girl or boy and what she wants to be called. its crazy this world!

Having to take the kids whatever the weather and pick them up in various weathers that can make someone sick or sicker. Having to provide them with uniforms and fancy dress costumes for various days.

Yes. Yes to all these. Don’t miss any of it. ❤ I have a kiddo with special needs. Being quiet under stress is not an option. Those “drills” were awful and the school had me pick him up during so he wouldn’t have to be involved. Grateful we never have to go back.

Those car lines were awful. I ended up buying a ukulele and learned to play it while waiting in the car line.

"Helping" the public schools educate your children (transportation, homework help, evening reading, selling stuff, making cupcakes, volunteering, etc) takes as much time as educating them yourself, but you have no control, can't refuse busywork, and your kids get bullied and offered drugs.

Good point! We can get through school in half the time.
