    Thanks for the video with info of what stapes to take to correct it.I found mistakes in mine today and was shocked.
    There were things listed in my history I have never been treated nor diagnosed and a couple of critical surgeries I’ve had that was NOT listed.
    I’m glad I caught it.I have no idea how long it’s been incorrect.

    After doing an amendment, how long does it take for the change to go into the system for others to see the corrections?

      Within 60 days I believe. It may be less depending on the state you live in

    May the heir of the body request a decedent's medical records be corrected?

      Hi Michele, thanks for your question. Please refer to your state's legislature. The Michigan Legislature revised Michigan's Medical Records Access Act in 2008 to include "heirs at law" in the Act's definition of an authorized representative entitled to obtain copies of a deceased patient's medical records.
