Good luck bro. You can try and do what I did. When I started planning my trip to Japan I created a savings account that automatically puts money into it. I've saved $2600 dollars so far and will save a little more before I go there.

Мне то же интересно . Первый раз посмотрев видео о капсульном отеле была в шоке . Людей нет , одни автоматы . Очень не привычно ! Но потом , посмотрев эти капсулы в автобусе , поезде , пароме - удивительно , но привыкла к тому , что нет персонала и уже кажется их отсутствие нормальным и очень удобным . Но у меня к автоматам недоверие , вчера была в Леруа Мерлен и воспользовалась автоматом , что бы выпить чашку кофе . 100 рублей автомат моментально забрал , кофе не дал и деньги не вернул . Наш жизненный опыт не позволяет 100% доверять автоматам . У японцев , думаю , все работает четко .

Either that or I just got excited to find the hiragana letters I knew like “ O” and “ ka” ..the “ yu” was a little tricky because it was closed on the circle thingy but the line through it helped me. ( I know I’m probably not making sense but if you read my other comment on one of your other vlogs about learning and practicing Japanese it will make sense then. ) I’m so excited to read an actual word on the buffet card. Yay!!
These ferries are like small cruise ships, tastefully decorated, clean and good food. I surprised that more people don't travel on them for a mini vacation. Just a simple getaway. Kind of interesting, but we have a blanket very much like the one on the bed only bigger of course. Very nice for almost all weather.

Japans population, 125 million. But in your videos, from buses, trains and ferrys I can hardly see any. Where are they? It’s so empty everywhere. And as you yourself said at 5:45 "I have never seen a kid on a ferry before". Amazing! Japan is indeed a mysterious country.
this is just a guess.... but my theory is, the japanese government must heavily subsidise the ferry industry. Due to limitations put on them after ww2. This ferry industry could easily merge with the navy in times of global conflict. just think... easily and rapidly move troops and heavy vehicles/ military equipment etc. kind of starts making sense , there's no way in hell, that the ferry's as a stand alone business model makes anything close to resembling a profit. I'm somewhat of an engineer myself.... i would love to have a good walk around the outer decks of these ships.... i can almost guarantee that we would start to notice features that don't have any practical use. and for a commercial liner just seem out of place to a well trained eye. im thinking circular , large diameter bolt hole patterns, that aren't actually bolting anything down. Features like this would have been far more cost efficient to put in place during the manufacturing of the ships. but if ever needed would make converting the ferries into formidable vessels of war. its just a thought =)
