A very touching and healing reaction 🩹🌎! Heal The World was released as the sixth single off of Michael Jackson's 1991 album: Dangerous. It was written by Michael Jackson. It was produced by Michael Jackson and Bruce Swedien. The song reached #9 on the Adult Contemporary, #21 On The Mainstream Top 40, #26 on the Cash Box 100, #27 on the Hot 100 and #62 on the R&B chart chart. It was also a Top 10 song in many other countries around the World. The choir, John Bahler Singers, do backing vocals and Christa Collins the ending solo vocals. The music video was directed by Joe Pytka and features children living in countries suffering from unrest, especially Burundi. It is also one of only a handful that does not feature Michael Jackson in it.
The song was played at the funeral of James Bulger (1990 - 1993), and Michael Jackson also donated the song to be used as the anthem for the James Bulger Red Balloon Centre, a school for children to go to if they are being bullied or have learning difficulties.
In the 2003 documentary: Living With Michael Jackson, he said that he created the song while in his "giving tree" at his Neverland ranch. He proceeded to climb the tree at the interviewer's request.
An ensemble performance of "We Are The World" and "Heal The World" closed Michael Jackson's memorial service at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on July 7, 2009. The song was performed as rehearsed by Michael Jackson at the venue just weeks earlier, in preparation for his planned "This Is It" concerts in London. R&B singer Ciara sang the song "Heal The World" as a tribute to Michael Jackson at the 2009 BET Awards. In a 2001 Internet chat with fans, Michael Jackson said that the song: "Heal The World", is the song he was most proud to have created.
The song has been covered by other artists including 📻: Kids United and Corneille, Aled Jones, Derry Hall, Alana Marie, Connie Talbot, Yu Watanabe, Little Kirk, Wayne Wonder, Leif Bloms, Xuxa, J Fla, Roupa Nova, Max Greger, United Voices, Jillian Ward, Maati Baani and more.
    Critical Reception 🗣:
Chris Lacy from Albumism described the song as "a beautifully understated anthem whose lyrics call for universal improvement".
Larry Flick from Billboard viewed "Heal the World" as a "oh-so-sweet call for peace and love". He added, "Although tune sounds a bit like 'We Are the World', the sincerity in his vocal cuts through a somewhat overblown arrangement and choir climax".
Randy Clark from Cash Box said that it's "musically about as close a jab at his previous 'We Are the World' as he could pull off without Quincy Jones and the superstar backing". He added that "the sing-along ballad features mostly Michael's vocals, bringing in a choir at the end for the full effect. The universal message is also the theme of his current world tour".
David Browne of Entertainment Weekly praised the song: "And when his voice isn't competing with drum machines, it has rarely sounded stronger-achingly pure".

    Lyrics 🗒:
    Think about um, the generations
And ah, say we want to make it a better place for our children
And our children's children so that they, they
They, they know it's a better world for them
And think if they can make it a better place
There's a place in your heart
And I know that it is love
And this place it was brighter than tomorrow
    And if you really try
You'll find there's no need to cry
In this place you'll feel there's no hurt or sorrow
There are ways to get there
If you care enough for the living
    Make a little space
    Make a better place
    Heal the world
    Make it a better place
For you and for me, and the entire human race
    There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for you and for me
If you want to know why
    There's love that cannot lie
    Love is strong
It only cares of joyful giving
If we try we shall see
In this bliss we cannot feel
Fear of dread, we stop existing and start living
    Then it feels that always
    Love's enough for us growing
    Make a better world
    So make a better world
    Heal the world
    Make it a better place
For you and for me, and the entire human race
    There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for you and for me
And the dream we were conceived in will reveal a joyful face
And the world we once believed in will shine again in grace
Then why do we keep strangling life
Wound this earth, crucify its soul?
Though it's plain to see, this world is heavenly
    Be god's glow
    We could fly so high
    Let our spirits never die
In my heart I feel you are all my brothers
Create a world with no fear
    Together we cry happy tears
See the nations turn their swords into plowshares
    We could really get there
If you cared enough for the living
    Make a little space
    To make a better place
    Heal the world
    Make it a better place
For you and for me, and the entire human race
    There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for you and for me
    Heal the world
    Make it a better place
For you and for me, and the entire human race
    There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for you and for me
Heal the world (heal the world)
    Make it a better place
For you and for me, and the entire human race
    There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for you and for me
    There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for you and for me
    There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for you and for me
You and for me (for a better place)
You and for me (make a better place)
You and for me (make a better place)
You and for me (heal the world we live in)
You and for me (save it for our children)
You and for me (heal the world we live in)
You and for me (save it for our children)
You and for me (heal the world we live in)
You and for me (save it for our children)
You and for me (heal the world we live in)
You and for me (save it for our children)
    Michael Jackson Info 📰:
Michael Jackson was born on August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana. He passed away on June 25, 2009 in Los Angeles, California. He was a singer, songwriter, dancer, actor and philanthropist. His musical influences include: James Brown, Little Richard, Jackie Wilson, Diana Ross, Fred Astaire, Sammy Davis Jr, Gene Kelly and David Ruffin. Dubbed the "King Of Pop", he is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century. Over a four-decade career, his contributions to music, dance and fashion, along with his publicized personal life, made him a global figure in popular culture. Michael Jackson influenced artists across many music genres; through stage and video performances, he popularized complicated dance moves such as the moonwalk, to which he gave the name, as well as the robot.
The eighth child of the Jackson family, Michael Jackson made his public debut in 1964 with his older brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon as a member of the Jackson 5 (later known as The Jacksons). Michael Jackson began his solo career in 1971 while at Motown Records. He became a solo star with his 1979 album: Off The Wall. His music videos, including those for "Beat It", "Billie Jean" and "Thriller" from his 1982 album Thriller, are credited with breaking racial barriers and transforming the medium into an artform and promotional tool. He helped propel the success of MTV and continued to innovate with videos for the albums Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991), HIStory: Past, Present And Future, Book I (1995) and Invincible (2001). Thriller became the best-selling album of all time, while Bad was the first album to produce five US Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles.
On March 25, 1983, Michael Jackson reunited with his brothers for Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever, an NBC television special. The show aired on May 16 to an estimated audience of 47 million, and featured The Jacksons and other Motown stars. Michael Jackson's solo performance of "Billie Jean" earned him his first Emmy Award nomination. Wearing a glove decorated with rhinestones, he debuted his moonwalk dance, which Jeffrey Daniel had taught him three years earlier, and it became his signature dance in his repertoire.
In 1984 at the 26th Annual Grammy Awards, Thriller won eight Grammy Awards, and Michael Jackson won an award for the E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial storybook. Winning eight Grammys in one ceremony is a record he holds with the band Santana. The Grammy Awards Show success transformed Michael Jackson into a dominant force in global Pop culture.

On January 27, 1984 Michael and other members of The Jacksons filmed a Pepsi commercial at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. During a simulated concert before a full house of fans, pyrotechnics accidentally set Michael Jackson's hair on fire, causing second-degree burns to his scalp. He underwent treatment to hide the scars and Pepsi settled out of court. Michael Jackson donated the $1.5 million settlement to the Brotman Medical Center in Culver City, California. Michael Jackson signed a second agreement with Pepsi in the late 1980s for $10 million. The second campaign covered 20 countries and provided financial support for his Bad album and 1987-88 world tour.
The Victory Tour of 1984 headlined The Jacksons and showcased Michael Jackson's new solo material to more than two million Americans. It was the last tour he did with his brothers. Following controversy over the concert's ticket sales, he donated his share of the proceeds, an estimated $3 to 5 million, to charity. During the last concert of the Victory Tour at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, he announced his split from The Jacksons live on stage during the Jackson 5 performance of the song: "Shake Your Body".
MJ's charitable work continued with the release of "We Are The World" (1985), co-written with Lionel Richie, which raised money for the poor in the US and Africa. It earned $63 million (equivalent to $158,728,032 in 2021), and became one of the best-selling singles of all time, with 20 million copies sold. It won four Grammy Awards in 1985, including Song of the Year for MJ and Lionel Richie as its writers. The project's creators received two special American Music Awards honors: one for the creation of the song and another for the USA for Africa idea.
In 1984 Robert Holmes à Court announced he was selling the Sony ATV Music Publishing catalog comprising the publishing rights to nearly 4,000 songs, including most of the Beatles' material. MJ's purchase of the Sony ATV Music catalog was finalized on August 10, 1985. This would lead to a strain in his relationship with Paul McCartney.
As a solo artist Michael Jackson's world concerts were some of the biggest, best and most profitable of any artist in music history.
Michael Jackson is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with estimated sales of over 400 million records worldwide. He has won hundreds of awards, making him one of the most-awarded artists in popular music. His awards include 39 Guinness World Records, including the Most Successful Entertainer of All Time, as well as the Grammy Legend Award and the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and 26 American Music Awards, including the Artist of the Century and Artist of the 1980s. He also received the World Music Awards' Best-Selling Pop Male Artist of the Millennium and the Bambi Pop Artist of the Millennium Award.
Michael Jackson was inducted onto the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1980 as a member of The Jacksons, and in 1984 as a solo artist. He was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Vocal Group Hall of Fame as a member of the Jackson 5 in 1997 and 1999, respectively, and again as a solo artist in 2001. In 2002, he was added to the Songwriters Hall of Fame. In 2010, he was the first recording artist to be inducted into the Dance Hall of Fame, and in 2014, he was posthumously inducted into the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame. In 2021, he was among the inaugural inductees into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame.
      Michael Jackson Passing 🙏🏾:
In 2009, while he was preparing for a series of comeback concerts: This Is It, Michael Jackson passed away from an overdose of propofol administered by his personal physician, Conrad Murray, who was convicted in 2011 of involuntary manslaughter. His death triggered reactions around the world, creating unprecedented surges of Internet traffic and a spike in sales of his music. On July 7, 2009 a televised memorial service for Michael Jackson at the Staples Center in Los Angeles was viewed by an estimated 2.5 billion people globally. On September 3, 2009 the body of Michael Jackson was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.
