      @@jews_out_of_PALESTINE not sure. I’m sure it could be perfect. The bulb is LCD and has 3000 hours or use I believe. Maybe more. Anyway, the more you use, the sooner you’d need to change the bulb, but that should be easy. I only watch the occasional movie and some TV from time to time, so should last a few years

    AMAZING JOB! I have pretty much have the same setup in my basement. What I love about projectors is that you can buy a 1080p high quality projector under $500 and still get a bigger screen size with it (ex. 100"-150") than you would spending $2K and still only getting maybe a 80inch TV screen.

    • @myveryeclecticlife8420
      @myveryeclecticlife8420  2 года назад +2

      Very true. People that spend more than $1-2k on these systems are nuts. You get a lot of bang for your buck with a $500 projector. Planning to finish my basement and just use a wall a the screen. Painted grey. Or whatever color works there.

    Excellent video all round that, I've said this many times in Home Cinema forums, you don't need thousands to have an amazing home cinema, you've proven that right here, 135" screen, cosy home feel set up, very clever incorporating and basically hiding the screen in the window, and contentment with your speaker system, demonstrates just how good a system can be if you chose carefully and the enjoyment you can have, I'd just watched a video titled 20,000 dollar projector, 10,000 dollar screen, and really there was no difference, albeit the 29,000 dollars!
    I usually use headphones on my set up as not to disturb family or neighbours, you sound so enthusiastic and I can't blame you, this really is one of the best home cinema videos I've seen, yes there's some impressive dedicated set ups shown on RUclips but in the real world not everyone has a room to dedicate, nor sound proofing or the money going into 4-5 figures.
    I hope do some more demos in future, I'd like to see a movie clip in 2.35.1 or so just to see what that looks like on your size screen my friend.
    Beautiful garden too by the way, best regards from the UK, and we'll done, keep enjoying your set up 👍👍👍

      Thanks so much for the note. Very nice and much appreciated. That’s literally my first ever video. Going to do a few more or bits around the house, vacation reviews and golf, as I’m a golf pro, albeit not playing too much anymore. You’ve said everything I was trying to achieve in making a simple video that makes sense and not expensive. Some people have spent $$$$$$ on systems that I don’t think are that much better. I love it.
      Thanks again to you in the UK 🇬🇧

      @@myveryeclecticlife8420 thankyou for your reply, you certainly achieved your aim, like anything in want hobby etc, magazines and people like to say 'you need this and that at X amount' and people get into that mindset and believe they can't enjoy it without that equipment etc, it's not often you see a personal an opinion that differers and could be basically achieved by anyone to enjoy 👍
      Well done on your first video, look forward to seeing more, it would be good updates on how happy you are with your home cinema set up as you go along.
      Golf pro, excellent, my photography work in the past involved a lot of work around golf scene, some beautiful courses in Northumberland, North East of England.
      Our lounge is 12x12ft and could get a150" screen which I'd love, but my wife would not agree, even here 133" I'd settle for, but looks like it will be a 120" fixed screen in a summerhouse I hope to build, but should get the same sort of feel as the internal dimensions would be 10x10ft, so I'd be 8.5 / 9ft viewing distance, I'm used to close viewing, with that I hope to set up my old Yamaha DSP 7 channel analogue amp from the mid 90's which I'm content with as it's a super sound.
      I currently use. 100" 4.3 Duronic floor screen, I get a 84" or 92" wide-screen image, usually use headphones and completely happy watching literally anything on there, occasionally if I'm alone and my neighbour is away can use a Yamaha Soundbar, YAS 107 I think it is, £200 few years old now but the first home Atmos speaker, and again content with one speaker though I've not really got to know that one too well yet, but impressed as it sounds like multiple speakers.
      Your right, so many systems on here that cost huge amounts, some look great but with experience, you really wonder why people use so much equipment, sometimes you can't see the screen for size and amount of speakers, must be a bit like Marty plugging in his guitar at the Doc's house 😁
      Anyway, great talking with you, good luck with your channel, I'll subscribe and look out for future cinema updates 🙋🙋

      lmao. There's a BIG difference between a $1k system and a $5k+ system.
      The Epson 880 doesn't have variable zoom, it's fixed 1.3x zoom, has a lower contrast ratio, no output trggers.
      The sound system is probably not Dolby atmos/DTS:X, with 9.2 channels+ for 4 atmos ceiling speakers, 2 identical sealed subwoofers.
      I hope you get the picture (and sound).... ;-)

    • @myveryeclecticlife8420
      @myveryeclecticlife8420  2 года назад +3

      @@mrpmj00 haha. I’m sure a $5k system would be better, but I bet not 5 times better. I’m a massive movie fan and love the big screen and to be honest, I was hesitant to start with using a cheaper system, but I borrowed a friends system and it looked great. My Bose sound system may not be a Dolby surround setup, but it’s darn good for what it is. For under $1k, it’s perfect!! And I have an extra $4k to buy lots of other things. Lmao.

    • @nitestrike1000
      @nitestrike1000 2 года назад +2

      I agree! You can have the immersion and experience for much less. It is a matter of financial survival though, to make you believe you have to have certain costly items to get the same experience. ( And there are individuals here on RUclips that help these merchants) And it is a situation of diminishing returns when spending more. You can add 2000 dollars more but you're not going to get the bang for the buck that you expected.

      RBE is more of a DLP thing which occurs because of lower speed color wheels. RBE is dramatically reduced in current gen DLP with higher speed wheels and even more with RGBWx2 wheels and higher refresh rates. LCD should never cause RBE.

    I don't understand (I mean, I do, lol) why people buy expensive big TVs over now great and affordable projectors. It's mostly because they are not fans of movies at all (and have zero sensitivity for visual), rather just follow a trend. Ridiculous amount of home theatres (setups, as people like to call them) are filled with huge speakers and small TVs. It's so nice to see (but really rare) someone who understand what's it all about.Great job man, enjoy films! Cheers!

      Most new Apple TV’s don’t need to be in the same room. They’re the best. I think the one I have in there is about 2 years old and a 4K version I believe. For sure the latest Apple TV models work from an adjacent room. I didn’t think it would either. Try from outside the room to see if yours is compatible. Worst case, a brand new 4K will work for sure. I got mine from Best Buy on a deal for $129. Bargain

      Add an Apple TV ($100+) and this can be linked to a Bluetooth speaker. This just links up using the HDMI input. I think my 4K Apple TV was around $120 on sale from Best Buy. Usually around $149 I think. You can also use an Amazon Firestick which are way cheaper, but I prefer the Apple. No glitches. Any of these HDMI additions will give you the Bluetooth capability to use a speaker. Let me know how you get on. Apple is way better though. Also Apple works via the WiFi signal too to the remote will work even if the Apple box is in an adjacent room or tucked behind the TV

    Can you change the screen size without moving the projector?

    • @myveryeclecticlife8420
      @myveryeclecticlife8420  2 года назад +2

      You can, albeit it’s best to try and get close to he right distance away to minimize the adjusting. In the case of this system I think it’s around 11-12ft. You could have it closer and adjust the zoom or a little farther away. It does adjust.
      I decided to buy it from Amazon so that I could test it out for clarity from certain distances. It works really well using the keystoning too, albeit that could make the one side get a little blurry. That’s why I went with a ceiling mount dead center.
      To be honest, for $549 (price matched - usually $599) and the pull down manual ES screen for just over $300, it’s awesome. I just use my Bose Bluetooth mini speaker which works way better than any TV too. Great to test anyway and if you don’t like it, or the dimensions don’t work for your room, you can send it back. I love it. I just wish I’d bought one years ago

      It’s only a 1080p projector. I have the 4K Apple TV and it’s got a great picture, especially 4K content. But like I said, it’s only a 1080p - it’s good enough. WiFi strength is more important.

    I have the epson 880 as well, sitting about 10/11ft from the wall and I’m only getting about 95-96 inches of screen being projected.
    How far is your projector from the wall and do you know of there is any setting you can do to stretch the image potentially?

    How do you manage to perfectly align the image to the projector screen? Also, I want to use my blu ray surround sound system. If I plug in my speakers to the blu ray system will that work? So I won’t have to use the projector speakers.

    • @myveryeclecticlife8420
      @myveryeclecticlife8420  2 года назад

      Hhhmm. I guess it should work. Assuming you link the Blu-ray player through an HDMI? Unless the Blu-ray is Bluetooth? Then that should work too. I just used an Apple TV as that links to the WiFi and linked to the projector via the HDMI. Then easily bluetoothed to the speaker to the projector.
      Let me know if it works linking the Blu-ray and speakers via the HDMI
