The trumpet player was good, had great technique and chops. but he didn't flow and ride the wave like the other kids. it's possible and often to get carried away...but you gotta come back. Don't fight the rhythm section, flow with them
Ever listen to Freddie Hubbard? Some Improvisers are leaders. Others follow. It's a approach thing. Preference
Well he goes to Juilliard now and plays with Wynton Marsalis so...
With all this criticism, can ANY of you do better? Just enjoy and stop nit picking. I thought ALL of them did just fine✊🏽❤️
