I’ve gone to the Jonesboro Open the last 2 years and yeah, it’s insane. The sounds and flights of their shots in person are almost hard to believe. I remember 2023 with the older layout, we were ~150 ft in front of 16 tee box off to the side so the discs were flying nearly over our heads. The discs sounded like missiles flying through the air and you’d turn to watch the rest of the flight and they just seemed to keep going forward forever. One of the coolest things I’ve witnessed
@cosmosdelight2700 Yeah, it both makes you want to go out and play AND to throw out your bad simultaneously. And these lengths PLUS the crazy OB lines... If they didn't have them they'd all be another 5-10 shots lower. I wish they'd keep the course set up for a few days and let us amateurs play it for $$$. I'd probably go +30 in one round. :-)
Eagle from nowhere playing some of the best golf since his injury. He has always been my favourite player and I wish him the best end to 2024 and a better 2025 ❤
Considering surgery recovery, this year has been positive. You always have to overcome the psychological impact of letting your shoulder go freely. his arm is still getting stronger. I say he has a big 2025. It's his time and some has considered him a possibility to dominate the sport.
Congrats to Isaac, well deserved win! Feel bad for Niklas though. 14 is such a poorly designed hole. How can it be possible to nail and outside the circle put into the heart of the chains and roll away to 90ft...
It reminds of a 400 foot par 3 on my local course. The shot is technical and the basket is perched high atop a rocky slope. Very difficult hole to birdie, even pro's would be challenged by it. The rocky slope does hold discs better than a freshly mowed hill.
Ugh, as much as a love disc golf, freaking spit outs kill me, that completely changed the final stretch of holes. Would have loved to see the close battle down the stretch. Not taking anything from Issac though, the man can hit some insane lines
