yeah i'll probably make a sequel but recording and editing is so much work. Especially if some of your actors randomly decide to wander off :D too bad you can't freeze the AI in this game.
Dont know if you guys cares but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch all of the new movies and series on instaflixxer. Been watching with my gf for the last few days =)
What did you film this on? How did you get the flying shot in first person and the tracking shot on the bicycle? I’m on Xbox and trying to make my own short film.
I filmed it on PC but I'm quite sure you can do the same on Xbox. I made the flying shot by turning into a bat and just going into first person view. The tracking shot was pretty easy too, just hop on a bicycle and record while not touching the camera controls. You have to play around a little with the camera settings in the menu but it's pretty easy
@@Moimus wow dude. Brilliant! Thanks so much for replying. I’d love to see you make more of these videos. I might comment back with more questions if that’s cool? I really appreciate it.
@@MrKyleboywonder glad you like my videos and yeah I'd love to make some more videos like this as I made a pilot episode for a series but at the moment it's quite hard to find the time because I got a full-time job and I'm bound in some side projects. But once they're done I'll be back to making LW videos 😁 Of course, you can write me whenever you want but please be patient because it might take awhile for me to reply
@@Moimus I just attempted to make my first short film on Xbox in Lego Worlds tonight with a buddy online. It was a disaster. First off, it was very challenging only having one other person to use as an extra. I had to use one of the “store mannequins” as a stand in for some shots and it was quite obvious. This is due to the fact that the game doesn’t allow you to set down characters without them randomly wondering around. Second, the name tag wouldn’t turn off for his character so it kinda ruined the effect. “The Bat” idea for a first person angle worked great, except for the fact that I had to constantly adjust my angles and continuously go in and out of the menu to turn off the HUD. Lastly, the time it takes to download the Xbox Game Recording to my App, then to my phone, and then to IMovie is SUPER time consuming… 🤦🏻♂️ It was truly a disaster and so disappointing, because I truly had so many great ideas to work with. I even drew a 2 page storyboard today of an “Undead Nightmare” style story I was developing. If you have any future tips or ideas please let me know. I really admire how you made yours and I wish I could find a simpler solution on console since I’m not a PC gamer. Thanks.
Haha thanks, I'm glad you like my vid :D And thanks for sharing too :) To be honest your Lego Worlds let's plays motivated me to make a video like this and I'll probably make more of this in the future :)
I loved the build up and the tension. waaaaay better than marvel or disney movies.
Such a creative idea to work with the LEGO Worlds engine for a short film, this was fun to see!
This should be a whole movie

what an amazing masterpeice!
Looks like everyone one in this city doesn't know how to talk
acting different voices is kinda hard, that's why i went with silent characters :D

How did you get the characters in the game to do all that.?
different items cause the characters to do different animations. it's easy, equip the item and wait
