There was this guy across the street from my mothers house who lived by himself in a big house he put his truck on blocks or bricks something like that and it fell on top of him killing him instantly. Said there was a body bag out there when they saw the ambulance. I don't envy mechanics.
I've worked on a lot of equipment and just general mechanic/handyman type stuff so yeah don't trust those jacks with your life and if you're working on a lifted truck where you don't need to jack it up ALWAYS SET THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND CHOCK YOUR TIRES (put something on both sides so they can't roll). Instead just jack the car/truck/whatever up with a jack and then 'block it' meaning put something under the frame or another sturdy part of whatever you're working on and put them in 4 places (ideally close to the corners to balance it all) then let down the jack so that the frame rests on the blocks or what I do is let the jack(s) down enough to where there's weight on all the blocks but the jack is also holding some weight so that I sort of have an extra block in the form of the jack(s) and also since its lowered enough to have weight on the blocks I don't have to worry about them slipping or something. Also make sure its on level ground and don't use hollow cinder blocks, I know everyone uses them but I literally grew up in a lumber yard and I can promise you they're incredibly weaker and more fragile than you think. I prefer to use 6"x6" wood blocks and put them sideways so the grain is parallel to the ground (opposite of how a tree grows/ opposite of how you split logs) and then use 2x6 wood to get it to the correct height. Wood is better because it grips the metal frame in a way and sort of conforms to it so its not going to slip and its not going to just randomly break as long as you face the wood the right way and don't use rotted or weak wood. Yes they make jack stands for this exact purpose but the quality of those varies a lot and some are flat out dangerous plus they're much taller so you're limited on uses, plus blocks of wood actually come in handy a lot when you have them laying around
Can't kick the toddy. Life in shambles. Can't stop now. No point. Stay until the break of dawn. Grab me breakfast on the way home. Streets provide no sanctuary only a cold, slick facade. Rinse and repeat; rinse and repeat.
my wifes car jack failed the first time using it! we got the car new in 2020, ive had 5-10 jacks from cars that are 30-40 years old and are still good today lol
Been arrested multiple times and locked up. Still have respect for police officers. They aren't responsible for my poor decisions. For the record I never did anything violent or sexual it was for weed and drinking.
To people who like crazy stories. I recommend searching "body cam nick cedarberg" i think thats how you spell his name but first video should be "quest tv" murder suspect shoots cop etc. I cant find the full vid but thats close enough. The back story is a guy kills his gf/wife on Christmas eve night. The trooper spots him and chases him down a dead end road. They suspect rams his cop car and starts shooting. Sadly the troopers calls for help didnt go through so it took backup about 30 mins to find them. They say he was shot 12ish times in seconds. Its a sad video but worth seeing in my opinion. The 2nd video says "bodycam of christmas shooting" its strickly from the backups point of view including them trying to find him. * I think Nick shot two 16 rd clips and reloaded a 3rd clip but was shot in the wrist which made it so he couldnt protect himself. ***i personally like seeing them kinds of videos because it shows cops are human too. They have people that cates about them the same as us. When we see these vids it shows why alot are always on guard. I guess im trying to say it makes you understand them more
I'm not against the police, 10% of my unit are cops. However at 00:43 I hate when people say that because thats what they're paid to do and they're job. They aren't doing out of goodness of their own heart. Thats like when someone says they hate and distrust Amazon. And your response is "Well when you order something they will show up with your stuff" Also you are correct when you said its just a few bad apples. However the problem is those bad apples get shielded by the majority of the good ones. Then theres the issue of cops unload on an unarmed citizens... Or 2 cops both empty an entire magazine on a handcuffed man thats also secured in the back of a patrol vehicle because a freakin acorn fell out of a tree. If you're that jumpy and nervous then you not only not be a cop but you also shouldn't be anywhere near a weapon. Then theres the major problem of the police not policing their own, which is kinda ironic. Just saying.
Everyone saying they never seen a bad police officer are mostly every race but African American yes there's alot of good ones but don't judge our answers if you don't understand what we are coming from
it's the opposite, a few bad apples with most being good. Look at the numbers - it's a math problem. People like you see the headlines and think it applies to most when it doesn't.
I knew a police officer as a primary student. He was a dad to one of my classmates. I respected police officers ever since that time.
That train one was crazy. Just a matter of seconds.

Not! After about 6 months they become indoctrinated into the tyrant culture.

Unless it's a guy with a AR15 inside a classroom. Then they just wait for hours.

You need jack stands. They are basically heavy steel blocks that lock in place to hold up the vehicle. Most are rated in tons.
Exactly. And a floor jack. NEVER go under a car supported by a cheap scissor jack.

I don’t trust jacks either.
You’re meant to jack the car up then put a stand under it you always see people only using the jack 🤦♂️

Good to see some good apples. Most police are horrible

@@Vendrix86 No. I work with police on a weekly basis. Most are cold hearted tyrants. But the good ones, they are great and deserve to be applauded.
