His first video since coming back was "a story about loss and redemption" and he doesn't want people to talk about it in his comments. But why would you do it if you knew the consequences were gonna be shit? You see this kind of thing all the time, people get caught for their mistakes at some point, you aren't the exception and you aren't better than anyone else. I first watched Jim when he had maybe 3000 subs and the mood changed so much since then, he went from the stories he was interested in, and turned to a bit more flirtatious or possessive styles of roleplay and it really seemed like he'd gone from nerd with no confidence to way too overconfident, and while that's nice and all a huge change of character like that doesn't go unnoticed, and at the end of the day it has caused him to do something that he'll never be able to take back... several times. I simply hope that he can figure out what he needs to in order to get himself back on track, and that his wife makes the right decision for her, because at the end of the day she is the victim here, not Jim, not the girls he cheated with. His wife. When I imagine putting my girlfriend through that I almost get brought to tears just from the image of her feeling that much pain and sorrow, it would absolutely kill me, so the thought of someone else doing that, especially someone I once respected, irks me on a massive scale, but that's just life I suppose.

I literally found Jim asmr a week or two ago and he instantly became one of my favorite asmr channels, now my heart aches for his poor wife having to go through that. I want to continue watching his videos but then again I don’t because of what terrible things he’s done.
Separate the art from the artist. Don’t believe everything you see on the internet even if it has seemingly damning proof. Don’t be apart of the hivemind and believe every single piece of evidence. Think individually and even when you’re sure you’re thinking individually, think again. Do your own research before believing anything. I made the large mistake of ruining an innocent man’s job, reputation and by extension, his life because I didn’t live by this advice. I thought the evidence was unshakeable, so damning that there was nothing to say or do that could prove it wrong here I am, completely and utterly wrong. I was manipulated by the accuser into believing the false and doctored evidence.

Jim was genuinely one of my favorite creators, he put so much effort and talent into this content and some of my favorite ASMR vids are a couple of his underrated videos. I feel so disgusted.
After trying to do what research I could on this as most things have been deleted now, from the information I have, I have to conclude that no-one involved in this was innocent. I don’t understand why Tea was upset tbh because she stated she was non-monogamous, and had a primary partner, but then Jim broke up with her and she got upset about that and that he was seeing other people. But…she’s non-monogamous, I don’t see what the problem was on her side. 😅 I also read that she threatened him so he wouldn’t defend himself. However he had affairs with multiple other women who said he led them to believe he loved them (or had sex with them), and it seems he basically preyed on women with low self-esteem and those vulnerable to his "charm" for romantic attention. Which is bad enough of itself, but then was cheating on his wife on top of it. Since we will never hear Jim’s side, which I would have liked to hear, there are several things that are still unclear to me. But by his own admission plus mutliple other people connected to him confirming it something did go down. I feel like while I still like his videos, I won't be able to trust anything he says is sincere after this honestly. I am glad he actually took some action towards change and growth. People say he made a mistake and easily forgave him after he said he was getting help thanks to his wife. But doing it to mutliple women?? Also the lying and gaslighting that took place? Plus saying negative things about some of his fans behind their backs? That seems to be beyond an innocent mistake. I know he has the venus symbol tattoo because he says he's a feminist, but I don't think he is sadly judging how he treats women. Plus viewers who went to his videos for comfort and safety are now conflicted because he basically betrayed that trust of his viewers. It sucks. The last thing I want is to know the person I'm trying to relax to did similar things in their life and to their fans that caused me trauma. And now it seems his mod team deleted anything relating to this on his channel so it's swept under the rug except old backlogs or a stray tweet. I wish I hadn’t discovered this drama and could just obliviously enjoy his videos and him in peace. As I’m not going to stop watching them. But I can't forget this now either. There is just a lot of weird dramatic sh*t that goes down in the ASMR community in general.
i just became a fan of his recently and when ever i would type in his name a popular search was "jim asmr controversy" or "jim asmr drama" and i was really hesitant to click it. I was hoping that it was just some stupid petty little drama but no. this man that I love is a monster. Thanks for this illuminating video. I honestly had no idea about this and wouldn't have even considered it a possibility, but it goes to show how wrongly you can perceive a person from just seeing snippets online that only show a fraction of who they really are. I used to watch his content a lot, and even received a few platonic messages back and forth with Jim, but from the tone I thought nothing of it, just that he was being kind and responding to a supporter of his content. Now I feel a bit sick, knowing how ready this man was to abuse an imbalance of power and emotionally mess with women. My heart goes out to women he deceived and hurt, I hope they manage to heal with time. And I hope his wife has the sense to leave, as I personally think there's no coming back from cheating. I was trying to find a specific video of jims last night and I found this video. It breaks my heart even though I found him in like February but it still hurts. These creators particularly would not make enough money from this to consider it a full time job. This means they don’t have to act as a professional mental health worker would or feel obligated to. It’s basically a side hustle til you hit a certain audience level. And. They also may not be qualified to work in MH anyway. Most importantly, a RUclipsr is not responsible for the mental health of viewers. They have personal issues like everyone else, and no one is obligated to watch if it causes distress.

She tried to get people to join her patreon page and threatened to then make all of her videos available to only them. Also what she offered to her patrons was never fulfilled so many people discontinued their membership and such. She eventually deleted her entire channel because she felt that if she wasn’t going to make money for it, than no one was allowed to enjoy it.

As much as this is concerning I think that RUclipsr’s personal lives, (especially RUclipsrs who are meant to help you relax) should be kept distant from their fans, I really enjoyed Jim’s content and I will continue to watch it as it is just that… good content, however I will now always have this nagging in my mind. If Jim wants people to know, he can tell his viewers in his videos. The problem is that it wasn’t a one time thing. There were about 10 women who came forward saying he had sought them out and struck up these kinds of relationships, telling them all kinds of lies. That’s unhealthy at best and predatory at worst. On top of that he also tried to sabotage other creators. there were tons of screenshots of him talking shit about other creators, especially those he collaborated with. On top of THAT he was talking badly about his fans. AND involved in sharing stolen nudes of another creator. Those are all pretty major red flag behavior.
Also I wanna clarify I have no involvement with any of this, but I’ve seen so many people say it was just one little affair when there was so so much more. The nudes sharing is particularly disturbing but people are so focused on crinkle luvin that they forget he was involved in that too.

I need to say, it’s really rare to say there’s a fully “bad” person. Even someone capable of harm is capable of doing good and having a positive influence to some people (we all see different sides and moments of a person, like a prism). The positive moments weren’t fake. The negative effects aren’t fake. I need to find good in this world, and even if I need to walk away from a person for lack of trust, I just have to appreciate the good moments I took away from his work for my own sake.
It definitely makes sense to give a heads’ up that he has a pattern of hurting people. That is socially responsible, and the pain caused is not excusable. Now that we know not to get involved with him, we all have a right to our private disappointments. It’s human nature to ascribe the best attributes to people we like, look up to, who have brought something good into our lives. Since we experienced his content as audience members, a large amount of what we took away from the experience was the beautiful imaginings of our own hearts, our own capacity for love and our own dreams of kindness. That’s real, and not to be brushed off or denigrated. Somebody being a dick in one area of their life does not cosmically delete the comfort people drew from work they put into the world. Also, as intoxicating as romance and sex are, it’s foolish to look at this and decide “yeah, this is totally cold-blooded and calculating and he did all this pre-meditated to hurt people and nothing else.” It’s FAR more likely that he doesn’t have self control (not an excuse!) and just did what felt good. It was selfish and hurtful, and maybe there’s some slight comfort that it’s likely there were real moments in those flings. Ghosting is immature and kind of logical in such a tangled web of lies. He’s probably running from his own conscience as well as responsibility to others. People are really good at lying to themselves.
You know what sucks about this stupid world? I’m fully fucking relieved that he’s not a child predator or a rapist. At this point I just need to find good and hold onto forgiveness (taking people off a pedestal and letting go of punishing them, I’m not god). Anyone who is hurt has a right to be hurt, and I’m not going to be ashamed for still finding some good aspects of his videos in my own experience of them.
This definitely should have stayed behind close doors. Why do people feel a need to to make their at home situations open to the public. Also Jim has stated multiple times he’s a sociopath. If you get involved with a person who’s openly a sociopath you’re gonna get bit in the ass. His first video since coming back was "a story about loss and redemption" and he doesn't want people to talk about it in his comments. But why would you do it if you knew the consequences were gonna be shit? You see this kind of thing all the time, people get caught for their mistakes at some point, you aren't the exception and you aren't better than anyone else. I first watched Jim when he had maybe 3000 subs and the mood changed so much since then, he went from the stories he was interested in, and turned to a bit more flirtatious or possessive styles of roleplay and it really seemed like he'd gone from nerd with no confidence to way too overconfident, and while that's nice and all a huge change of character like that doesn't go unnoticed, and at the end of the day it has caused him to do something that he'll never be able to take back... several times. I simply hope that he can figure out what he needs to in order to get himself back on track, and that his wife makes the right decision for her, because at the end of the day she is the victim here, not Jim, not the girls he cheated with. His wife. When I imagine putting my girlfriend through that I almost get brought to tears just from the image of her feeling that much pain and sorrow, it would absolutely kill me, so the thought of someone else doing that, especially someone I once respected, irks me on a massive scale, but that's just life I suppose.

I literally found Jim asmr a week or two ago and he instantly became one of my favorite asmr channels, now my heart aches for his poor wife having to go through that. I want to continue watching his videos but then again I don’t because of what terrible things he’s done.
Separate the art from the artist. Don’t believe everything you see on the internet even if it has seemingly damning proof. Don’t be apart of the hivemind and believe every single piece of evidence. Think individually and even when you’re sure you’re thinking individually, think again. Do your own research before believing anything. I made the large mistake of ruining an innocent man’s job, reputation and by extension, his life because I didn’t live by this advice. I thought the evidence was unshakeable, so damning that there was nothing to say or do that could prove it wrong here I am, completely and utterly wrong. I was manipulated by the accuser into believing the false and doctored evidence.

Jim was genuinely one of my favorite creators, he put so much effort and talent into this content and some of my favorite ASMR vids are a couple of his underrated videos. I feel so disgusted.

After trying to do what research I could on this as most things have been deleted now, from the information I have, I have to conclude that no-one involved in this was innocent. I don’t understand why Tea was upset tbh because she stated she was non-monogamous, and had a primary partner, but then Jim broke up with her and she got upset about that and that he was seeing other people. But…she’s non-monogamous, I don’t see what the problem was on her side. 😅 I also read that she threatened him so he wouldn’t defend himself. However he had affairs with multiple other women who said he led them to believe he loved them (or had sex with them), and it seems he basically preyed on women with low self-esteem and those vulnerable to his "charm" for romantic attention. Which is bad enough of itself, but then was cheating on his wife on top of it.
Since we will never hear Jim’s side, which I would have liked to hear, there are several things that are still unclear to me. But by his own admission plus mutliple other people connected to him confirming it something did go down. I feel like while I still like his videos, I won't be able to trust anything he says is sincere after this honestly. I am glad he actually took some action towards change and growth. People say he made a mistake and easily forgave him after he said he was getting help thanks to his wife. But doing it to mutliple women?? Also the lying and gaslighting that took place? Plus saying negative things about some of his fans behind their backs? That seems to be beyond an innocent mistake. I know he has the venus symbol tattoo because he says he's a feminist, but I don't think he is sadly judging how he treats women. Plus viewers who went to his videos for comfort and safety are now conflicted because he basically betrayed that trust of his viewers. It sucks. The last thing I want is to know the person I'm trying to relax to did similar things in their life and to their fans that caused me trauma. And now it seems his mod team deleted anything relating to this on his channel so it's swept under the rug except old backlogs or a stray tweet. I wish I hadn’t discovered this drama and could just obliviously enjoy his videos and him in peace. As I’m not going to stop watching them. But I can't forget this now either. There is just a lot of weird dramatic sh*t that goes down in the ASMR community in general.
i just became a fan of his recently and when ever i would type in his name a popular search was "jim asmr controversy" or "jim asmr drama" and i was really hesitant to click it. I was hoping that it was just some stupid petty little drama but no. this man that I love is a monster. Thanks for this illuminating video. I honestly had no idea about this and wouldn't have even considered it a possibility, but it goes to show how wrongly you can perceive a person from just seeing snippets online that only show a fraction of who they really are. I used to watch his content a lot, and even received a few platonic messages back and forth with Jim, but from the tone I thought nothing of it, just that he was being kind and responding to a supporter of his content. Now I feel a bit sick, knowing how ready this man was to abuse an imbalance of power and emotionally mess with women.
My heart goes out to women he deceived and hurt, I hope they manage to heal with time. And I hope his wife has the sense to leave, as I personally think there's no coming back from cheating. But each to their own I guess.

I was trying to find a specific video of jims last night and I found this video. It breaks my heart even though I found him in like February but it still hurts. Their personal lives should remain personal. I watch asmr for the content only as it is a great relief from my anxiety issues. A true asmrtist understands their viewers needs, and would never do anything to actually cause their viewer anxiety; like all of this is doing to me. I'll be unsubscribing to any artist involved in this drama. It's disrespectful to me and the other subscribers. Very unprofessional smh.
These creators particularly would not make enough money from this to consider it a full time job. This means they don’t have to act as a professional mental health worker would or feel obligated to. It’s basically a side hustle til you hit a certain audience level. And. They also may not be qualified to work in MH anyway. Most importantly, a RUclipsr is not responsible for the mental health of viewers. They have personal issues like everyone else, and no one is obligated to watch if it causes distress.

She tried to get people to join her patreon page and threatened to then make all of her videos available to only them. Also what she offered to her patrons was never fulfilled so many people discontinued their membership and such. She eventually deleted her entire channel because she felt that if she wasn’t going to make money for it, than no one was allowed to enjoy it.

As much as this is concerning I think that RUclipsr’s personal lives, (especially RUclipsrs who are meant to help you relax) should be kept distant from their fans, I really enjoyed Jim’s content and I will continue to watch it as it is just that… good content, however I will now always have this nagging in my mind. If Jim wants people to know, he can tell his viewers in his videos.
This is a very serious matter and while I can appreciate that some people would want to find out who it is they listen to, I also think that this should be sorted out by the people involved, Gossip is harmful and frankly ruins my experience as the viewer,

I’m confused what did Jim asmr do wrong other than cheat on his wife. What does need to apologise to fans for?? He didn’t do anything wrong tho other than be a bad husband. He cheated. The girl he cheated with knew he was married and got too attached. That’s on them
The problem is that it wasn’t a one time thing. There were about 10 women who came forward saying he had sought them out and struck up these kinds of relationships, telling them all kinds of lies. That’s unhealthy at best and predatory at worst. On top of that he also tried to sabotage other creators. there were tons of screenshots of him talking shit about other creators, especially those he collaborated with. On top of THAT he was talking badly about his fans. AND involved in sharing stolen nudes of another creator. Those are all pretty major red flag behavior.
Also I wanna clarify I have no involvement with any of this, but I’ve seen so many people say it was just one little affair when there was so so much more. The nudes sharing is particularly disturbing but people are so focused on crinkle luvin that they forget he was involved in that too.

I need to say, it’s really rare to say there’s a fully “bad” person. Even someone capable of harm is capable of doing good and having a positive influence to some people (we all see different sides and moments of a person, like a prism). The positive moments weren’t fake. The negative effects aren’t fake. I need to find good in this world, and even if I need to walk away from a person for lack of trust, I just have to appreciate the good moments I took away from his work for my own sake.
It definitely makes sense to give a heads’ up that he has a pattern of hurting people. That is socially responsible, and the pain caused is not excusable. Now that we know not to get involved with him, we all have a right to our private disappointments. It’s human nature to ascribe the best attributes to people we like, look up to, who have brought something good into our lives. Since we experienced his content as audience members, a large amount of what we took away from the experience was the beautiful imaginings of our own hearts, our own capacity for love and our own dreams of kindness. That’s real, and not to be brushed off or denigrated. Somebody being a dick in one area of their life does not cosmically delete the comfort people drew from work they put into the world. Also, as intoxicating as romance and sex are, it’s foolish to look at this and decide “yeah, this is totally cold-blooded and calculating and he did all this pre-meditated to hurt people and nothing else.” It’s FAR more likely that he doesn’t have self control (not an excuse!) and just did what felt good. It was selfish and hurtful, and maybe there’s some slight comfort that it’s likely there were real moments in those flings. Ghosting is immature and kind of logical in such a tangled web of lies. He’s probably running from his own conscience as well as responsibility to others. People are really good at lying to themselves.
You know what sucks about this stupid world? I’m fully fucking relieved that he’s not a child predator or a rapist. At this point I just need to find good and hold onto forgiveness (taking people off a pedestal and letting go of punishing them, I’m not god). I just found out about all this and am primarily shocked to find out he's not gay and in fact is even married to a woman, that legitimately stunned me, no offense at all, i just got that vibe from him and am stunned to have been so entirely wrong

It isn't about whether I feel important. I have nothing to do with it, and thats the point. Sometimes we don't need to be so involved in other people's issues and private life. Unless you are Jim chi or his wife you don't know the full story, and making content about something you aren't 100% sure on is asking for issues, especially with marital issues which are hard enough to deal with without content like this.

I feel great sympathy with young people, especially young women. There is so much confusion about sex and sexuality. The truth is simple. You might not like it, but it's simple. An ordinary woman declares she has "pan polyamorous hexagonal sexuality" and we all have to agree with her or risk the ire of the extreme left, currently dominating the philosophical landscape. The thing is, this nonsense is dangerous. A woman needs to understand the biological mechanisms that drive her. I am making clear adultery is wrong, by my use of the word. I feel very sorry for this woman who has been left "lost and broken". I take the line I do to advise women to protect themselves by how they present and act. Given her public proclamation of these sexualities, and the fact that modern sexuality encourages people to see their identity in terms of it, it is likely she told Jim about her "non-monogamous" sexuality etc. This will be read that she does not take traditional relationships, based on monogamy, as sacrosanct. She has effectively told Jim that she doesn't believe in faithfulness. This is hardly likely to get her taken seriously as a future wife, when later on she changes her mind.
In the parts of the threads shown, she does not own responsibility for having sex with a married man. In Jim's statement, he does own responsibility for wrongdoing. I strongly advise women to understand themselves as women, and to cease using these tags that are likely to get them disrespected by men. The complex psychology at play with women who have sex with married men, is hardly fair, but nature is "red in tooth and claw". A woman will not be judged well by married men if she is willing to try to jimmy apart his union.
Extreme left ideology has it's sexual roots in the nineteen-sixties sexual revolution. These numerous gender sexualities also belong at their door. The mere mention of the traditional path of no sex outside of marriage and faithfulness within it turns them into head-spinning harpies spewing green ectoplasm. In other words, they don't consider it a valid path in our sexual organisation; even though, for women especially, it is by far the safest.
