Hey Mike, Those large gas cans are for mounting on the front or rear rack on 4 wheelers. Also gas caps are cheap, gas cans are expensive, people will buy them without the cap or spout.
Can you explain that? Why is some OK to take and not others? How do you know when it's "somebody else’s collection of recycling stuff"? (Honest question, never explored dumpsters! )

I ain't complaining, just giving you the facts from this scrapper's perspective. Take it easy on your body bro. And wish me luck for tomorrow please.
You need to go.back and get them other gas containers if they dont have holes in them. You can buy lids for them. Guarantee $5 for just the container at yard sale.
It’s sad that corporate America is so greedy they would rather destroy and throw away simple gas cans than let anyone else profit anything from them. So many retailers destroy before they waste! We would call it a double whammy back when I scraped. ! 😤
A friend of mine was always buying purses at the thrift stores; she had a roomful of them! Your advice about checking ALL the pockets is true, she discovered a little zip pocket in a pink-and-gray backpack-purse that she was using for the first time that was holding three one-hundred-dollar bills and a Canadian ten!
