I have not been inside this arena though I have roamed in most parts of this city. Only seeing this arena filled with people one can realize the immense size of it; imagine the Colosseum in Rome filled with people in Roman time!!!!!

They did not sing the national anthem at the beginning...but maybe this is the first performance of the season, I don't know. But the memories of that event are vivid. I visited this venue in July 2002 for a performance of Carmen which unfortunately had to be cancelled due to a lightening storm -very disappointing. However just a small blip in what was otherwise a lovely holiday in Italy.
