Skyrim Unbound is my personal favorite! You can pick your starting armor or have it randomly chosen. Saving your choices so that subsequent starts are quick to load and begin is convenient.
Customizing your gear and spells (or lack thereof) is a fun unto itself
My go-to is always 'Realm of Lorkhan' coupled with 'Dealing with Backstories' . . .
There're spawn points all over Skyrim, you can start at a more experienced level dependent on age, you can outfit yourself reasonably well etc.
You DON'T have to be the Dragonborn, but you can be at any time by visiting Jarl Balgruuf . . .

I HONOR THE 6TH HOUSE AND THE TRIBE UNMOURNED
I honor the 6th house as a dunmer and just go straight to solsthiem to purge all non Dunmer from the island
I give praise to Lord Dagoth for these blessings, as the plain old Alternate Start itself was getting very stale. With this, I shall honor the Sixth House and the Tribe Unmourned, and begin a great new and powerful Dunmer character as the ultimate Dragonborn.
Another mod to suggest is Dealing With Backstories, which works in tandem with Unbound and allows you to actually create a relatively complex backstory complete with skills leveled relevantly to what you chose. It also comes with a variety of perks and debuffs dependent on how indepth you go with it, while giving you the option to even outright retire or age a character for different effects. It's a very comprehensive mod and is one of my favourites.
It's a shame some of these don't work due to Bethesda's reliable updates.
We need an alternate start mod for Morrowind that has you starting as a sixth house cultist with the main quest being to kill Vivec and getting wraithguard for Lord Dagoth.
An interesting option would be as a Dunmer from Morrowind in the Cult of the Old Tribunal, or continuing with a previous character from another game with higher stats. You could be the Nerevarine returned from Akavir, or perhaps The Champion of Cyrodiil whom once every era gets to return to their normal form before being forced to become Sheogorath again.
Or just sheragorah bored somehow recreated his past self before becoming insane and akatosh with weed gives a dragon soul for shit and giggles
Dagoth Ur, The God, i am so glad you achived CHIM and entered our world to give us your holy sermons. This is yet another sermon that truly honors The Sixth House and The Tribe Unmourned.
I always preferred Skyrim Unbound thanks to its customization and speed over Live another Life myself

I love using proteus to roll play different characters within the same save. Kinda makes sense that each faction have their own main character instead of the dragonborn be it all.
I've played realm of Lorkhan and Live another life. but LAL with the last dwemer sounds so much fun!

Am I understanding you correctly: There's mods that let you not be the DB, but instead can have the DB be a follower? That would be interesting, for sure.

I think there's at least a Mod for Morrowind in which you become a Member of the sixth House. I think it's called something like The great House of Dagoth. Would be interesting to see a Video about it on the Channel

As someone who only played once through 10 years ago and downloaded this game from Steam for under $20….. I don’t even know what to say. Freaking epic. I did not realize that it was this much content still.
RoL (Realm of Lorkhan) is my favourite. I'm considering a Sixth House playthrough... RoL has the customisation necessary, paired with RaceMenu. Might even do a Chimer, hehe.
Lord Dagoth, you already know of my plans this year, but of course you do, you are a god.
My favorite is Live Another life, starting as someone who was mugged and left for dead. Always makes for interesting times to be dumped in a sack cloth in the middle of a snow bank while playing hardcore. There is no need to ever become the dragon born and I generally do not until well into the game.
There are two reasons I won't use Live Another Life.
1). If you have a mod installed to prevent Hearthfire home interiors from respawning, LAL reverts it.
2). All the terrible things Arthmoor chooses to be.

Any thoughts for a Dagoth roleplays Skyrim series
I use Dime's Quickstart mod. Skips the intro and starts character creation at next to Helgen cave exit. Bare bones with basic iron 1h weapons, iron armor(no helm) and shield.

Which of these mods would you say best honors the 6th House?
With project proteus, do the other characters run around independantly doing basic tasks while you play another character similar to GTA?

why dose someone wants to live as pesant better live as the owner of the house and not in those morgledogs of empire towns or mornic nwans nords city but the house form heratfire dlc or moded houses that honnors the six houses

Skyrim Unbound is my favorite mod because this farm tool does not wish to be the dragonborn. Being the dragonborn is for n'wah Nords who didn't get enough love as a child so they need to feel special by saving the world from Tamriel's most inept and underwhelming villain. Say what you will about argonians, but at least we don't go around wanting undeserved praise for being handed a participation award.
I can't bring myself to play Skyrim again. It's the least alien of the series. I'll honor the sixth house by playing Morrowind. Some mods add a lot to the game too. I'm talking new locations and quests.
And I'm doing it... As an argonian. Muahahahaaa! Just wait 'till I destroy the heart as a lizard.
