Simon Phoenix when he first interacts with the computer booth that keeps ticketing him for language. That scene always had me rolling when I was a kid 😂
I’m right there with you had it on every format. This was a wonderful experience all around. I’m sure you’ve told me before; do you have an Atmos setup?
@80sMadeConsumer Currently I just have an ONN sound bar. It says Dolby Atmos, but to be honest I don't know much about it. It was the "nicest" one my local Walmart had at the time.
@@matthewaugsburger536 Right on! The Fifth Element makes my 2nd favorite film of all time, I’m trying to collect every version of it all over the world. So far I have 10.
I can't wait to hear what you think of it! If you have an Atmos sound system that was great but you have to pick it from the menu. I think it auto plays the old 5.1 track.
Man you really should watch it soon. Just a fun one I watch at least yearly. This edition is really good, plus don’t watch the UK Pizza Hut version haha.
@@vebjorngrytten7629 I didn’t have that same experience on my 4k, but I see what you are talking about just popped it in my older hd tv and seems way off.
Yeah the case art could've been better. I do like how it's pizza hut that won the franchise wars in some areas since they don't have taco bell. Oh, I have some stickers and trading cards I need to send you. Oh, and great review!
Because the original 5.1 track was mixed for just that, 5 speakers and a subwoofer. Having a larger room with a modern system using 9.2 or 5.2.4 meaning 9 speakers, 5 main and 4 height speakers plus 2 subwoofers. An Atmos track is mixed to send certain sounds to each speaker. More speakers with dedicated information not only is room filling but also brings an added amount of clarity as the sound travels from speaker to speaker. Many modern AV receivers have a upmix features that can guess where certain sounds might work better and can artificially produce that experience while it’s ok and enjoyable on old films with rain scenes(the rain sound comes from the ceiling speakers) it’s not perfect and most times I prefer the original track. Having the upgraded track was a noticeable enhancement.
Well, I was excited to get my copy of Demolition man yesterday which I preordered on October 3. Once again Amazon pushed my copy back to December 24 now, very disappointed! I’m going to start being a little pickier and order movies I really enjoy and just order straight from the boutique labels. I am growing weary of Amazon 😐
Can’t blame you! I actually cancelled my Amazon order and got it from Arrow, loyalty rewards points plus fast shipping, very happy. That is my goal for 2025 use Amazon less and order direct more. Hopefully you get yours soon.
At the time. Taco Bell was popular in the US but didn't have global presence, but Pizza Hut did. They were both owned by the same company at the time (Pepsi) so they just swapped them out.
What is your favorite scene from Demolition Man?
Any one with Sandra her bits of comedy relief always made me chuckle her bits aren't bad either😆

It's the museum scene. But, it's got so many greats
This is one of the few movies I can think of that I've had on VHS, DVD, and Blu-Ray. So I definitely gotta upgrade it to 4K soon.

Bro… what is that giant Porkys set in the background? A laserdisc?
Haha nope it’s a CED. Movie on a Vinyl record super defunct tech
@ looks dope!
An RCA Video Disc. Used to have a player when I was a kid. It had HIFI audio before tape did.
Colors are for sure better on the 4k, the bluray was too red, just look at the spray tan faces on that old disc.
Oh for sure a better experience all around.
I have the old blu and its runnibg too hot on the colors, loosing fine detaills because of it

I've been waiting for mine to eventually ship, but Canada Post has made that impossible while they strike. Errrr.
Yeah that whole thing sucks; hope you get yours sooner than later!

Thanks I figured it was something like that, but how they did it surprisingly looked like a cheap tv edit haha.
Diversity, not nuance
Yeah I realized it was the wrong word, and couldn’t think of what I wanted to days 😂
