Please do more J Cole, here are some songs I'd recommned , 1. Lost Ones J cole 2. 4 your eyez only J cole 3. Friends J cole 4. 03 adolescence J cole 5. Once an Addict Jcole 6. 3 wishes Jcole 7. Premeditated Murder Jcole
Fantastic as always, thank you Tom! I love your Juice WRLD reactions so much. Juice was someone who got me through some of the lowest points in my life and it's awesome you are able to see how much of an inspiration he was to some of us. I'm sure you have a long list of songs to review, but Sometimes by Juice would make for a great video. It was never released, he made it alone on his birthday. So much emotion in his voice and an amazing beat. Keep up the great work I look forward to more videos!
Thank you Tom!! If only you knew how much these Therapy sessions help me... Love your Juice WRLD reactions he was def someone who helped me with my own addiction, and coming out the other end building my motor skills and social skills my equilibrium was so messed up. If you ever get a chance react to Kid CuDi songs like "Soundtrack 2 my life" saved me from suicidal thoughts.. Keep bringing this content it will Save many lives!
We need to come back to mystery week every once in a while! I’m sure y’all don’t want the concept to get stale but hope we haven’t seen the last of it, it was fun having something to look forward to even the little things.
Love watching your reactions Tom! You should check out his songs Apparently, 03’ Adolescence, and Love Yourz. They give good insight on his background and great story telling.
If you wanna hear a really good J Cole song, I’d check out “High for Hours” and “Once an Addict” The first song is about him meeting Obama, and the second is about his mom Struggling with Addiction BOTH AMAZING DEEP SONGS
I just want to say I found your videos fairly recently and this is truly really great advice and meanings that I didn’t even realize are in the songs I actually listen too! Much respect, keep doing what your doing!
i love seeing other peoples perspective on how these songs and how you interpret them also i highly recommend you watch juice wlrds documentary if you haven't already its an masterpiece in my opinion
I always thought it was an artistic choice in this song how the vibe of the song changes like that J coles is the part of him that knows how bad pride is for ppl but then lil baby’s part about him living the high life is the prideful side of him that loves what he’s doing despite how bad his mindset could be from it. Idk I’m high rn so maybe I’m reading too much into it haha.
When Lil Baby said "I can't forget the bigger picture" is likely a reference to his protest song, “The Bigger Picture,” released in the wake of the murder of George Floyd.
This is an amazing concept it rare to see stereotypical white man(not the mgk type basically) speak on hip hop in a completely unbiased manner I love how hes connecting two different cultures and humanizing rap lyrics instead of automatically assuming "those hiphop songs all they talk about is sex and drugs and violence" or having that mindset. SO from a person who grew up mixed black and white its very amazing to see this even my own family members cant see the beauty in the art, to the detriment of how I assumed the world viewed anything"black" as a child and still now so im very greatful for the content it has given great comfort to know that not all non hip hopers lol see the art form as trash. Thank you💕
Hey. A really powerful song by lil baby is “The bigger picture”. He really gives his perspective on that whole BLM demonstration and he tells it in a really beautiful way. Would love to see your reaction to it!
Love love love this and the irony of one of my fav songs from last year is the first video of yours I'm seeing is awesome way to start doc! Much respect for you and the change Psychotherapist make in the world and lives of many people. Also it made me smile seeing how much you respect the culture of these young brothers and don't look down on them is such a breath of fresh air! Don't stop this channel ever! I feel I'll get so many nuggets to help me in my life from this. Much love! -YL
I had to revisit this album / project and I felt I should listen to some reactions because this song has been back in my rotation heavy recently. Love the channel my man. Definitely gained a sub!
Heard this song so many times before this but just realized how j cole speeds up his lyrics to match lil baby before they switch then lil baby slows down his lyrics right before it transitions back to the Chorus(j cole) idk just makes the song flow so much better
I like the concept of this video series. There are lots of nuances within the rap industry alone. Thieves in the night is what i feel is an honorable mention, especially from a psychotherapist's point of view.
You should listen to “La misère est si belle”, “Zoulou Tchaing” or “À l'ammoniaque” by Pnl which is a french duo, there is a LOT to say on theses 3 songs !!
I see that as confidence and integrity, to stand up for yourself. Pride in this song is seeing yourself better than and above other people ..thanks so much for the comment😊👍
Babys content at the beginning of the verse is based on a lifestyle of ignorance and pride. And him being aware of the danger of pride and the life he's living. Lil baby is intelligent once you look under the surface. Granted majority of his content raps about his status and things he's earned.
I genuinely dint know how or why. But I was literally listening to this song , just to find a reaction video from this handsome man 💯❤ much love keep up the work 💙 Oh ps. Please do more xxxtentacion please. Personally you should do * king of the dead
You MUST listen to Aesop Rock! Most of his themes are about depression anxiety and isolation. Start with "shrunk" it's an abstract view on going to your therapist
