This is a good video. It’s a Mafia movie, so if they’re gonna have a singer-type character in it, it would make sense that he would have connections. I don’t think it’s based solely off of Frank Sinatra, because there were an other singers back then, like Dean Martin, who also starred in movies.
If Sinatra thought it was about him, then it most probably was. A shame really, as I really like both The Godfather and Sinatra. Neither are lessened in my mind or estimation. Great film and one of the greatest singers of all time. History will remember both well.
Every Italian American who grew in the the inner cities of New York, Philly, Boston or Chicago had “mob connections” they were for the most part either your friends or someone you most certainly knew, it was unavoidable. Sinatra was no different than anyone else. He just became famous by his talent as did MANY Italian Americans in the show business industry. The notion that the “mob” owned or helped these individuals was mostly a myth. They did own many venues across the country where they performed, as did many others. However, the Italian Americans were the ones that were labeled as having mob connections. Especially the most famous of them all, Frank Sinatra.

He was an egomaniac. Did the FBI help you write the book?
What an asinine statement.
Not everything was about Francis.
