this reminds me of my top mount setup for my 300zx. Although it was also around $2k probably less, the fuel setup and ECU tuning is easily another $1500 not counting the clutch upgrade that is needed.
Damn son that thing is beautiful, I have a DE in my G35 coupe that I seriously regret swapping in. I should’ve went HR off the bat, but I am happy to have finally a reliable vq. Yesterday I took her up to lake arrowhead no issues. Nice build bro. Hope to see your car in person!
I'd be THRILLED to have just 500whp on 91 for daily driver/boring/reliability. I mean, that's going to beat a solid 95% of vehicles on the road, and if that's not enough, just hit some corners!
this has to be the best hack job ive ever seen. im amazed youre getting those numbers with that long of 2.5 inch single tubing. cool video, good for you! i have alot of questions about injectors, bovs ect. but id guess ill have to subscribe.
Another thing is why you didnot keep your engine air filters why just not connect to them and avoid all this unnecessary new MAFs etc? To me it’s simple: turbo in the back, and run cold air to the original air filters or use AFE drop air filters. No intercooler or other, keep boost at 9psi and the ambient air will cool the air returning to engine. At high speeds it’s super cold down there. Also buy some underside plastic covers to protect your piping etc running back and forth to engine.
Aye bro think you can re do the list I know it’s some work with all the research but when I click on some links they’re no longer available, good video tho freaking helpful
Talk about an ~8psi loss between the turbo and your intake manifold. A buddy did a rear turbo mount, 10 psi at the turbo and 2 psi at the manifold with NO leaks, just a lot of loss due to too long of piping.
@@Alxbmovn Its not lag, its a loss of pressure between the turbo and the manifold. Lag is trying to spool a big turbo from a small displacement motor. . A regular turbo setup you loose about 2 psi between the turbo and the manifold. Your turbo is WAY in the back and that pressurized air has to travel like ~15 ft before it gets to the manifold, thats where your boost is loosing pressure. So now your turbo has to work twice as hard for you to only get half of what its pumping out.
@@ACommenterOnRUclips no it doesn’t it’s just going from pressure balance with volume generated and the long runners will help with cooling too, look at nugget garages mk4 supra 1000hp standard uzv8 rear mount he’s done countless professional turbo setups on all sorts and swears by it being very efficient.
what year is ur car bro mines a de and i’m ganna slap a greddy to it I know it can’t make more than 420 hp with out internal upgrades but should be fun
Correction... hot side piping is the piping from the turbo to the intercooler. Cold side piping is the piping from the intercooler to the throttle body.
$300, for the turbo? Is this real life? And here I was thinking about nitrous in my G37, I’m pretty sure a full kit would be more than your turbo setup.
$300 for just the turbo is easy to find but then gott think, intercooler, piping, downpipe if you can't make one, oil lines, scavenge pump etc. You can get a basic wet kit fairly cheap and way simpler to install if you don't have alot of mechanical ability.
I’ve done nitrous on my 370z ( It’s in my videos ) you don’t have to go as crazy as I did you can get smaller supporting mods and make 450-550 for almost the same price as nitrous , one thing I hate about nitrous is refilling 1 bottle equals 6-9 runs
The math doesn’t add up, what are the numbers at the wheels? Did you notice that after the Dyno pulls the guy was already out of the car. A car that puts down 250ish to what wheels na will make about 500ish at the wheels on 15psi. Unless it’s 620 at the crank which is plausible, these numbers are bs. I don’t trust anyone that Dyno’s a car on a 100 degree day no one appears to be sweating profusely. They heated up the ambient air sensor and the correction correction factor bumped it up. This car at best made the 568 uncorrected. Dyno it on a 60 degree day and prove me wrong, and don’t put a break in the video so you can load up someone else’s Dyno pull.
Made 620 wheel and 557 tq , on 15 psi don’t believe me than line it up and I’ll show you 🤷🏻♂️ wouldn’t go out of my way to post somone else’s numbers .
