Thank you so much, I agree with one of the other commenters the patterns never tell you how to sew a limb on, it just says sew it, even the beginners patterns.
Thank you soooo much!!! This is so helpful!!! I just made a zebra and was about to wing it when I found your video and I'm so glad I did!!! I now feel much more confident about attaching and assembling all of the pieces. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Struggling with floppy heads on my Somebunnies … I’ve crocheted all my life,s but never Amigurumi’s. This was VERY helpful, and my head is no longer flopping. Thank you
I am glad that I found your video because I am to sew on the limbs today and didn't really know how. You made it very easy and clear. Thanks for taking the to make and share this video ❣️
Thank you so much for your free videos & patterns. I'm here because i couldn't figure out how to sew the head on the unicorn ( following your free pattern) this was so helpful!
Thank you! This video is so informative. I'm going to be crocheting dolls similar to this for my local hospital and the pattern I was given had no directions for how to sew all the pieces together. The zebra is adorable!
Good video. A couple of ideas I haven't tried. I like the way she used the pins. I have been pinning like I was sewing fabric, sideways. The pins are always in the way of the sewing. Can't wait to try pinning in vertically.
Thank you so much for this video, it is very clear and easy to follow. Most patterns and videos don’t show you how to join pieces together so it is very helpful. I made Gloria the goat and followed this video when adding the pieces so it has come out very well and looks just like your pattern. Many thanks 👍😃❤️
Thank you, this is exactly what I needed! Unfortunately I already cut the tail off my pieces, but I have leftover thread so I think I will just loop it in and knot on the backside.
While the pieces are flat, I fold and use waste yarn to mark centre front back and both sides, then continue these down as I work more of the head. I mark the centre front and sides of the body as well, so I don't have to agonise over it later. Waste yarn can stay in until the toy is completed, so If things don't end up quite right, I can remove them and re-position. I find it easier to attatch limbs and ears etc while the body and head are separate. I can get my fingers inside to hold the stuffing away, or find placement and remove stuffing until sewn on, I don't like having to get stuffing back out of sewn stitches. If I'm making another toy from the same pattern, I count stitches on my sample toy, to position pieces to a formula, and sew ears and eyes on before finishing crocheting the head. I whip stitch then ladder stitch, for strong attatchments. I leave sewing tail (LST), 4× seam length and 4cm/11/2 inches. To keep track of pieces I use my sewing tails to 'cobble' them on to their places as completed. I find it easier to see what is still needed. On flat joined pieces, I like to sew the end shut, then I sew each side down separately, which is easier that going from side to side with each stitch. These can be still sewn into the same spaces on the body. I use extra blunt needles to hold things on, can't prick my fingers. Doll neeedles(long) and mattress needles(longer) are very good for getting positioning even.
Thank you so much! I’m starting a project I’m really excited about, but I’ve never done amigurumi before so properly attaching parts was a huge mystery to me.
Awesome video! Thank you so much! I’m working on your darling unicorn right now for the sweetest little girl on earth. (In my total unbiased opinion ;) I was nervous about this part but you’ve put my mind right at ease! Thank you for all you do. 💕
I'm new to crocheting. I want to make a simple doll or this zebra you are showing how to sew together, where can I find your video on making these. Thanks
I just made my first amigurumi (unicorn) for my granddaughter's 4th birthday) and so wish I had seen this before I made it. It would've made completing it much easier. Never occurred to me to look up "tips for amigurumi" lol
So, you only weave the ends? There are no knots involved? And that is secure? Sorry, making my first amigurumi, and the pattern I'm using is not being as clear as I had thought it was.
So when you are doing the ears are you going under the ear through the head and then bring it back the other way through the ear. Or are you going through the head and ear at the same time then back through the ear only?
Hi there .. I have the patterns of urs for the mermaid dolls that u posted in March 21 , 2017 on ur website and was curious to know what exact yarns and color names u used for a couple of the dolls u show in pics on ur website? 😊 Like the dolls with a green bikini top and hot pink top and the one with light pink top brown skin and embroidered eyes u did . Those are 3 were wondering what yarn colors were called for hair . I know a boucle yarn I guess lion brand but also color names 😋 I hope u can help me with this cause I’ve really been searching hard lol 😂 thanks u!
Thank you so much for this video. I love making toys so much but I feel my assembly of them always lets the quality down. I must get one of those angled yarn needles!
Very informative video, I subscribed. Thank you! A couple of suggestions... the music needs to be lower and slower. Several times you were off screen when showing what you were doing. You are on the right track looking forward to more videos
Thank you a lot. A helpful video in deed. 🙂 There is only the "music", that disturbs me very much. It hurts in my ears 👂 because there are very high tones. Please could you make the video without background music? 🙏 That would be very kind and a boon for my head. 💖
Question for y’all: does it feel like your needle is too big? The eye of mine gets stuck in the stitches, but if it were any smaller, I could not get the yarn through the eye.
Thank you so much, I agree with one of the other commenters the patterns never tell you how to sew a limb on, it just says sew it, even the beginners patterns.

Thank u for this video. Cannot stress enough how helpful seeing limbs being sewn on truly is.
Struggling with floppy heads on my Somebunnies … I’ve crocheted all my life,s but never Amigurumi’s. This was VERY helpful, and my head is no longer flopping.
Thank you
You're welcome! I'm so glad it was helpful!
Another option is to hold the head in place on the body with some fine knitting needles.
Skewer style 😀
I am glad that I found your video because I am to sew on the limbs today and didn't really know how. You made it very easy and clear. Thanks for taking the to make and share this video ❣️
Your zebra is so adorable, and love all the extra tips with piecing together. Thanks for sharing.
This was perfection. Thank you!! I'm less scared to complete my project now.

Thanks very helpful. I have never attached a head to the body so well! Very much pleased.

Just a wee tip: you can also bend a plastic needle into a C shape! It helped me so much 😊
Ohhhhhhh great idea!!!!! Cause my hands are arthritic. Thanks.
Ohhhhhhh
Thank you! Sowing limbs are tricky, you made it easier with your input❤️💗❤️

This is the best demo and instructions that I’ve found. Thanks!
Thank you soooo much! I have been really struggling with this and your instructions are so clear and helpful. Also your zebra is adorable 😊

Thank you. I’ve been struggling with attaching.
Excellent tutorial!! Thank you so much for making this video!
Honestly I think your way is amazing im just terrible on following instructions 😭 no-sew patterns from now on

Ty so much! Always had trouble attaching limbs. You’ve made this so easy for me now ☺️
I'm new to crocheting. I want to make a simple doll or this zebra you are showing how to sew together, where can I find your video on making these. Thanks
Great zebra and sewing up. This was super helpful. I also love your ring. Could I ask where I can find one similar? Thank you
Very good technique. Especially the anchoring stitches. I'm new to this and hadn't thought of that :)
I love your sewing on this. I want to try to make one!

Thanks MeliPixie. I had the same question.
Check out Holly on her site. She has a great way to attach head to body, without head wobble. Her site is The Proper Pineapple.
Little question
What king of string did you use, I've been trying with thread and it does work very well
So when you are doing the ears are you going under the ear through the head and then bring it back the other way through the ear. Or are you going through the head and ear at the same time then back through the ear only?
Will remember the pull test, 👍

Thank you so much for sharing this. And, your zebra is totes adorable. Can you please tell me the pattern source?
Thank you so much for this video. I love making toys so much but I feel my assembly of them always lets the quality down. I must get one of those angled yarn needles!
Now I know why my bunny head falls down…not enough filling. Thank you for sharing your knowledge & secure attaching method.
How did you do those cute little ears?
Very informative video, I subscribed. Thank you! A couple of suggestions... the music needs to be lower and slower. Several times you were off screen when showing what you were doing. You are on the right track looking forward to more videos
love the zebra and its very helpful , but the music is driving me crazy
Lol
Really? I loved the music, I was just gonna comment on how nice music this video has!
Do you have a tigger pattern
Love your demo. And your work. Do you have a pattern for this please.
My pins always come out. How do you get them to stay?
Great video thanks soo much!!!
Thanks for sharing, very helpful information for a newby amigurumi crocheted!
Thank you so much for this!
Do you use a double strand of yarn when sewing?
Thank you a lot. A helpful video in deed. 🙂
There is only the "music", that disturbs me very much. It hurts in my ears 👂 because there are very high tones. Please could you make the video without background music? 🙏 That would be very kind and a boon for my head. 💖
Is there a reason the body is open at the top?
When sewing on the ear, you did anchoring stitches. Is that all? Or was there more sewing? I couldn't tell :)
Mine always looks like it has a neck. It doesn’t keep that round shape.
Such an informative video thank you very much!
Question for y’all: does it feel like your needle is too big? The eye of mine gets stuck in the stitches, but if it were any smaller, I could not get the yarn through the eye.
I started using curved tapestry needles and it's made all the difference! I've got some linked in my storefront! amzn.to/3lxJgnx
Great tutorial! Pity about that awful music though☹️
How rude
Awesome work
Very helpful. Thanks!
Thank you, this is very helpful.
Thank you
Thank you Kali!
Right.
Thank you, l learned alot. Clear instructions.
thank you, very useful
The constant music drove me mad!! Please another tune.....
9 months later I'm having the same problem lol
@@myothercarisfalcor your zebra his so lovely. Thanks for sharing.
Turn the volume down
It’s like being on a carnival ride that never ends 😂😂 but it’s not a bad instructional video 👍🏼
Can’t see which stitch you are picking up. The camera pint is not so great too because move stuff up and down too much.
Thank you!!!!!
Why can’t you sew the limbs before you stuff body or ears before you stuff head ?
Loved the video but the music was annoying....sorry...
Différent music next time please.
The music in the background is so annoying
😱😱😱
ikr 😭
I keep thinking my washing machine has completed its wash😅
@@amberyam AHAHA
Maybe,,,but her voice is nice and soft. And she explains well and gives great tips!
I need to get rid of the music in the background
nice tips.....but...sorry... don't like the music
Don’t care for the repetitive music!
WHAT??????
Please don’t add music in the background, it’s not necessary. Thank you for your video.
Rude
Really helpful, thanks.
