- This story is about a village boy who once dreamed of becoming an IAS officer and took on the tough UPSC exams. Keshav Nandan Pandey gave it his all and tried several times, but things didn’t quite work out as planned. Instead of giving up, he decided to change direction. He started a bookstall to serve the students in the same coaching ‘mandi’ where he had once studied. Watch the video to know more.

State PCS m 5 saal ki frequency hoti, usne b exam compromised hote h mostly states m with rates around 60lac to 1 crore for PCS

UPSC prep breaks you from the core. It exhausts you physically, mentally, financially and emotionally. It’s a treacherous loop that pulls everyone inside and in no time gets to your neck. I wish we Indians were not so fascinated by the little it has to offer and the chunk of your life it takes away.

Jis tarh best player bhi 0 pr out ho jata h & new player records bana deta hai usi tarh jo failed hai iska mtlb ye nhi woh dull hai.

Salute to him. But there are some things to be learned: 1. No marriage while on preparation. 2 work on financials before jumping on preparation. 3 He should have focused solely on n preparation only, I wonder what he would have understood in classes after night duty.
He was bound to work for money as his background was not strong to provide him any financial help so for his living he had to work
And if he only worked for his financials then he might thought he would waste his time that's why may be he tried to manage both which most of people does

No coaching institute, no motivational teachers, no ed-tech wants you to see this video. For every successful UPSC CSE aspirant, there are tens of thousands of unsuccessful aspirants, broken dreams, shattered youth. No one cares. Not even UPSC. For UPSC, you are just a candidate who may or may not find her name in the result page.
What's the way out?
Ans: Have a Plan B. After 2-3, attempts, PLEASE start to look for other options. UPSC is a black hole which will suck you in.

Teri aur tere baap ki itni aukaat nahin hai ki tu SC/ST category mein bhi paper nikaal de. Tum jaise ghatiya qism ke log sirf internet par bhonkne ke liye ho, aur rahoge. Aur “rich SC/ST” khud hi mein oxymoron hai, kitne “rich SC/ST” dekh liye tune, saale? Bata aaj mujhe? Asli rich lig saare baman, baniye ya upper caste hain. Did you even watch the video? He had zeal to becoming officer so he took coaching and studied his best but due to his financial he had to work as security guard at the same time. Aspirants from poor family who don’t have financial support struggle a lot. After the coaching was over he should have gone back to village for preparation so that he don’t have to spend money on rent plus he is Hindi medium which is hard to find corporate jobs. Corporate jobs always look for good communication skills. English is important in this country.

There are always some person who unintentionally closed the doors of other jobs for them.

I had chance to pursue PhD on scholarship or B.ed .
I adopted not any of the option but Civil Services that too without coaching.

This is the state of majority of govt job aspirants who go with all passion and no practicality in mind. Lateral entry scheme for entry into top govt positions is a good initiative in atleast killing this practice among youths of wasting their prime years trying to get entry into IAS (with lateral entry one can always get chance later.) People must focus on getting a job (pvt/govt doesn't matter) first. If one has the will power and bhagya, one can always switch later to something more fulfilling (not always in money terms.) 😃

Why did he leave the tea stall? Tea selling can be one of the most lucrative businesses out on the streets. He could have made twice the money with no added stress and anxiety. And if he opened a social media account for his tea shop, could have earned even more. No point trying for exams that only 1 percent of the applicants pass.

upsc should reduce the number of attempts to 3 , as even after 5-6 years you end up getting selected your affinity for the position would be less than someone who got selected in least attempts, similarly for other exams youth ends up wasting their best potential trying for something which they aren't sure if they can get it

When 1 lakh people apply for UPSC, finally less than 1000 people are selected... Hence the probability of getting selected is less than 1%... Totally unaffordable gamble... I have seen many people wasting their precious time like 7 to 8 years.

The "IAS" term is so glorified in this country that,
Common people - Thinks this is the only way to achieve high in less time, with fame and respect
Business people - Sell the 'IAS' term and course and make money easily.
Social Media people - Sell the 'IAS' dream, make content and gain their time, make themselves a profit from platforms like youtube, Instagram etc..
Now, these common people are not aware and have become blind, that their actual other dreams have been forcefully converted to the ''IAS/IPS' which now themselves are wandering around the UPSC, IAS, IPS, Govt jobs etc.
They are not aware about their passion.
Solution : Make people aware about their actual original dreams and passion, obviously business people and social media people wouldn't do that because for their money profit.
Let India have a Diversity of Dreams,
Let India get Educated to follow their own passion rather than influenced by family/social media/other talks.
