Thanks for loading this, I was the sax player in the supporting band on the UK tour, and it's so go to see and hear this live recording of what is in my opinion one of the best UK reggae bands of our time..

ASWAD another great Reggae band from my early teenage years up there with Black Uhuru, Third World, The Wailers, The Maytals...then an emerging young English band, UB40, The Melody Makers which introduced us to some of Bob Marley's kids, Ziggy, Cedella, Stephen who went on the create their own reggae niche.

My family where from the grove my mum worked in a record shop [n the sixties and she remembers the early blue beat records i grew up with those sounds being played .

i remember this like it was yesterday. I saw them at the weekend supporting UB40 and they sound just as good. Great band, great music. Peace and Love Aswad. x
I saw Aswad at Leeds University in the 80s and then later in Manchester at Plymouth Grove in the 90s much sketchier location for sure. But both times Aswad are the best reggae band live bar none.
Introduced to them by a little ole HBCU radio station in the US Nation's capital- WHUR Howard University. Tidewater 88'.
I will not forget my honey brinsely experience a world of real.roots reggae and a child star of magnificent seven an a half and double deckers. Growning up with aswad is like never let go with your close friends you been known since infancy. I brought their first album and in love concrete slaveship, i want to record that song in my heart. It resembles just to say I'm.blsck and I'm not no idiot. Thanks aswad. I also shine it's about sticking in you guts and say I want to live in peace without racial hatred 24/7.
