My parents lived near Gordons Bay for 20 years and I got to visit that spot a few times. Around the corner is a little town called Betty's Bay. Great waves if the wind is offshore.

I recommend taking a visit to a town called kometje because it has arguably the best big wave spot in South Africa,krons which has perfect barrels, long beach which is basically lowere trestles from wish and it has inner Kom which is a perfect left and works at high tide but it only works in south winds (it doesn’t matter which way south) and east winds

Ah damn, one of my favourite spots. In the summer there's luminescense in the water (seen at night). (My theory as to why theres so many sharks?) Camping out in the big cave and paddling out for a sunrise surf. Nothing like Caves!

They're chasing bait fish shoals. Its rare to get near them in the surf. They run in large pods like this all the time. No Orca.
