To the commenter who said "stop saying we": have you never heard of the royal we? Peter is king of his shop and the audience is but his subjects for whom he speaks.
I’ve had this product for over two weeks and I’ve used it almost every other day ruclips.net/user/postUgkxDcr-y2Pf6xdnrFHrSP7dl9kpKaCozcSQ with my knives. After the first session of sharpening my cleaver, I recall slicing through a tomato, veggies, and meat a lot cleaner and smoother than ever.I only give my knives 10 to 20 strokes of the sharpener before every other use, depending on how much force I’m putting on the blade against the cutting the board.I don’t have expensive cutlery. Most of them are cheap ikea knives and my cleaver was bought at a market at a low price ($10?). The sharpener has given the knives a much better edge and I’m very happy with it.I don’t push down on the blade sharpener with the knife. I let gravity do it’s thing. As you’re supposed to.
The knife looks amazing. Is there a chance we could get a second one but instead of a dark pigment like back what if you did the opposite and went with a bright pigment like white?
Always a treat to watch you work. Now what we need is a record of your extremely soothing singing. Perhaps you can call it “Peter Brown: Songs that RESINate”
That looks fantastic. Looks like a futuristic version of granite. Also on 3M’s website you can buy all different colors (grit levels) of scotch brite so you could make tons of color combos!
I just ended up serenading my husband with the entire Crawdad song, plus several other folk songs my Mamaw used to sing to me. Thank you for that memory! (You're a good singer, BTW!)
Dude, sanding and polishing is the most satisfying and relaxing portion of projects! back when I did a lot of wood turning, I couldn't wait to run through the different grits of micromesh and give a piece that fantastic mirror finish. So satisfying!
Yes finally Peter put the mold in the pressure pot BEFORE he poured the resin into the mold. Awesome video loved it Peter. Can't wait for the next one.
The final result was even more amazing than I hoped it would be at the beginning. That said, you bring so much fun to your projects that the videos are magic no matter the final outcome.
I'm glad to hear you read all suggestions. I've been asking for a few years for you to make a clear bowling ball with something in the center and then film you bowling with it.
Your videos are the vibrant, wholesome, cheerful vibes I need to balance out my feed which otherwise mainly consists of true crime and history. The sunshine of my RUclips subscriptions.
That made a lovely knife handle!! 👏👏 Would love to see the scotch brite in a pastel/ translucent color, maybe for a different type of project. I'd love to see more of the pretty blue scotch brite color! 💙
We need a Dye Trying: Halloween Edition Bone Meal Blood Meal Glow Sticks (might have tried this already) Pumpkin Spice Cheap Halloween Face Paint Did I leave out anything? Help me out people!
fake blood (probably has too much water but you never know), and this isnt a dye trying but maybe that fake spiderweb shit could make a neat material in resin?
@@stephenwilliams163 Could try turning the candy corn to powder and use it as a dye. Might end up with some nice speckling if it's not ground too fine. That or separate the colors first and try it.
When I was in high school I would watch all of your videos to the point where it got me in a lot of trouble. I have loved these videos ever since I first found your channel back in 2016... only you Peter Brown get me to instantly click on a video with such haste no one else. Please keep on doing what you do, I'll follow along as long as you keep making such great content! You really are the best!
I have been using floor buffer pads in my molds for pen blanks. They come in different colors and grits, plus they are all just about 1” thick and are very different looking.
I'd like to see a pen cylinder decorated in the method you used with the mother of pearl, but instead of using mother of pearl you use pigment alternatives like makeup, chalk, and spices. This would be different from the previous alternative pigment tests because you'll be using super glue to attach the pigment alternative, then actually coat the pigment with resin instead of mixing the pigment in the resin.
This is really cool~ First thing that came to my mind seeing this was "Crying Obsidian" [from Minecraft] except that one is black and purple, but this looks just as great in blue!
I have an idea that could be interesting for our musicien friends here, try to make guitar picks or drum sticks with resin ! That could turn beautiful with glitter, powders, pigments etc ... Nice one Pete. Greatings from France
While you were making the blanks I was thinking about using a hole punch for some solid spots of black. Later thought about slits for stripes. Very cool effect.
Woah, turned out super cool, the whole process it just kinda looked like a black handle then we get those closeups and can see the details!! Nice job and great idea 💡
Huh. This opens up using various kitchen sponges. They come in a range of colors and styles. Would be interested to see a few more tried out. Awesome knife.
"Blue lightning." 👍👍 Thank you for not singing that _Electric Blue_ song again. The last time you did that that annoying song was stuck in my head for a day and a half.
I haven't gotten a video update in my subscription from you in months and months. Now I get to marathon a bunch so I'm excited. This turned out so beautiful great work.
_Beeeeeutiful_ ! You should try cutting up or tearing apart pieces of different colors of scouring pads. I've seen every color except purple. Then, arrange the pieces into your mold until it's packed and then for the resin, try navy blue--or maybe a mixture of dark blue and black pearlescent pigment. It would have a really cool rainbow effect! I hope this finds you and your family well. As always, thanks for the video. -Kirk in Texas
Asking for us to like and subscribe while swinging a knife around seems kind of ominous. lol
It felt more "or else" than I intended. Sorry.
I liked it, it was more "edgy" than usual.

nice suggestion!!!! we all thank you!!! hhaha

And who wouldn't want to be roped into these absurd experiments? They're the best kind of experiments!
And his subjects are thr resin buckets and tools
Peter: "I want to try it again and hopefully not forget a step this time."

I just wanted to let you know I appreciate being included in your crazy schemes. :D
Me too!
Same! It's nice being included in the crazy ideas
I embrace the crazy
As you were cutting out the first set of scales,I thought to myself "huh, what a remarkably drama free project this is"....
The knife looks amazing. Is there a chance we could get a second one but instead of a dark pigment like back what if you did the opposite and went with a bright pigment like white?
Or Day Glow green.
I wouldn't mind just seeing what clear would look like.
@@GodzillaB210 it would be a shiny scratch pad
How about no pigment at all and just enjoying the mezmerizing blue that he ruined by covering it in black?
With the blue scotch-brite, a bright green might be really pretty

Haha!
