- Phil required a hand in the baptistry recently, but Jase thinks it’s a cool approach to the task. Al feels a little “frisky” after drinking Chuck Norris’ brand of water, and the guys can’t resist some classic Chuck Norris jokes. The guys ponder the difference between the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the pouring out of the Holy Spirit, and a scriptural reference to a miraculous handkerchief gets Jase giggling over the idea. We have really gone off the rails but I can’t help but to chime in on the tobacco. I was raised in a church w no indoor plumbing, cold water drawn from the well on the entrance and exit of the church. We had no AC the women like my great grand mother in the choir dipping snuff with their big beautiful hats on, the preacher running up and down the isle preaching hell fire and brimstone stomping on the feet of the members.. Those women would really get a kick out of these jokers running around now who can’t figure out what a woman is lol.. 😂 y’all worried about the wrong thing.

1 Corinthians 6:19 says our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit , so we should take care of it physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Also chewing tobacco causes cancer to many parts of the body. I worked for an oral surgeon and saw what tobacco does to your oral heal, including cancer in the mouth. Everyone has to make choices on their own. I just think spitting on the podcast is distasteful to others.

I know I have the Holy Spirit in me. I’m currently going through a marital storm and have this odd, unexplainable peace as well. And I know it HAS to be the Holy Spirit. It’s all it could be. I have been reaching out to the Lord more than ever and working on my relationship with Him because it’s the only thing keeping me grounded. I need Him.

I love you all!! There’s two separate events regarding the Holy Spirit.
The first when we become born again and our spirit is regenerated.
We know we are changed. We are instantly sanctified. However sanctification is on going as long as our faith is in Christ. Then after being born again we seek God for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and when that happens we will know because the initial evidence of that is to speak in an unknown tongue.
My husband and I watch you all and loved the movie etc. love the fellowship and the stories about growing up. Down to earth folks. My kind of people.

There was a church my family went to in McLeansboro Illinois this preacher was hell bend that the lord was coming that time the time was the mid 80s the lord never showed up and this preacher was a very mean person I was 8 yrs old at time.
