My 15 Pro Max was still getting overly warm until Friday, when I shut it down after transferring my data over to my new 16 Pro Max. I mainly felt the heat along the sides.

Hey I appreciate it! I’m testing it out and doing no b-roll to see if I can make it just as engaging. I’m a full time pastor and I have a family so anything I can do to make things engaging but still efficient is what I’m trying to figure out. Glad someone noticed haha
So good to know. I just ordered a refurbished 15 Pro for nearly half what the comparable 16 Pro would cost, hoping the heating issue isn’t a dealbreaker. Beyond that, the minor upgrades don’t warrant a $500 difference to me.
Just got the 16 pro max today, and what I can say is my iPhone 15 pro overheated since the first day I got it and I did everything i could to help the battery not overheat. I immediately noticed a difference from the 16 pro max to the 15 pro battery overheating issues and it’s pretty insane.
@@JonAdamsTech, don’t get me wrong, I am not saying mine was burning up, I just noticed it felt warmer along the sides. I’m not saying it was anything like what was complained about until iOS 17.0.3.
Well I have just upgraded my 15pro to ios18 and it feels much much better. I do notice that the phone loves getting warm but it never gets hot, which is a weird feeling to describe. On my 13pro it’s quite different, the phone is either ice cold under very light tasks or it gets hot under heavy load. Might be the titanium frame & matte glass.
People with minimal usage can opt for 15 pro but this year in 16 pro the battery has been massively upgraded and solved the heating issues too, If you want to be hasslefree I think considering 16 pros might be a better choice
Using 15+ since launch and totally satisfied with battery life but now im tired with big phones and planning to switch for 15pro.. will that be a good choice?
It does help as I'm currently still debating between the 15 and 16 pro. The new camera button on the 16 means absolutely nothing to me, however, even if it's not that much of an increase, but I do like the larger 6.3" screen vs the 15's 6.1" cause I can't be bothered with a pro max phone, I still wanna be able to carry it in my pocket lol
@@JonAdamsTech If you thought the 6.7" was big, this new one is already tablet territory for me, tried handling it in the store and it's a no go, I'd rather pack my ipad with me at that point. But staying on-topic, the 15 pro dropped significantly in price and the refurbished market is coming out with alot of great options for much less money which makes me lean towards the 15 pro and keep it for the next 3-4 years.
im have the 15 pro max and I actually fear that the inside of my phone is going to melt. I stream using my phone and my phone has to be close to 100% just by using the camera for a couple hours. I switch from Samsung to Apple because of overheating, since S7 edge to S20 ultra it’s heating randomly until the backplate glue melt and the plate came off my S20 ultra still flat and working fine , I have been using iPhone 13 and now 16 pro and I hope it will not have that overheating problem
I don't change my phone often, my current phone is the iPhone XS. which came out what 6 years ago? so I'm really not sure if I should go with the 15 pro or try to save up more for the 16 pro.
Too bad, they’re very solid phones otherwise and it’s truly awesome they’re getting new features like Apple Intelligence even being a over year old but any sort of heat issues holds these devices back from being undeniably excellent. Glad Apple went out of their way to describe the improvements and rectify the issue with the 16s across the board
My iPhone 15PM always stays cool. It did get warm while charging until I started charging it on a fan, which kept it ice-cold and increased the charging speeds. Several factors contribute to this: the apps you use, the ambient temperatures in your region, and whether you’re using 5G or Wi-Fi. I think most people don’t experience overheating, but if you live in a hotter country or push your device hard, the A17 Pro might not have been the best choice. It was a 3nm Gen-1 chip and less efficient than the 3nm Gen-2 A18 Pro. Additionally, Apple didn’t copy Samsung’s marketing strategy by including a vapour chamber. Third-party researchers tested the vapour chamber and found it ineffective in smartphones since they don’t have fans. Apple tested their own vapour chamber and observed minimal improvement. Saturation occurs just as quickly as without a fan, it only redistributes the heat to another area. Without an effective way to dissipate the heat from the phone, it was all a gimmick. Instead, Apple opted for thermal dissipators to quickly remove heat from the internals. This is why the iPhone 16 Pro offers better heat management than the iPhone 15 Pro and why the iPhone is far superior in heat management compared to the Samsung S24U and especially Chinese phones like Xiaomi.
