Another reason they changed the side exhaust on that dodge viper was because if it was running and the driver or passenger got out it would hurt and, in some case, burn their leg. This caused people to call and complain and with what you said about the censors all added up so the switched it to the back.
I would love to hear Craig's opinion on my VQ Z that I owned for 20 years and took forever to dial in the sound with current mods. I'm sure he would have a different opinion on VQs at that point. As someone who just bought a nice, well kept, manual G35-s that the previous owner deleted the mufflers on, I'm going to do the unthinkable: find a stock exhaust and put it back on, or find a decent sounding axleback that is quieter but still audible.
I love loud cars but holy shit this thing is like, TOO loud. Even for me. I've had it less than a week and I could tell my neighbors hated me by the second time I started it up🤣
I've had 3 VQ's and they are the best sounding cars on the street with stock exhaust.
Respect to you!
The sound of a subie to me is like the free adult content (very pleasing and soul touching{full pun intended} and just hits a certain spot) but it really does depend on the exhaust you buy for them like my tomie Ti to some it drones and to some its heaven and comes to personal preference but one of the best sounding car would be a jaguar E Type that sound is pure orgasmic but I can afford my subie and daily drive it so that's what is best for me
Hope you're well Craig your voice doesn't sound too good please have a break if needed ❤️
As a honda owner. I hate straight piped hondas. I run a "decent" sounding exhaust
I know this is cars… but I’m shocked straight piped/ glass packed trucks didn’t make it on the list.
Can’t forget cars have to meet regulations. Catalytic converters and mufflers do restrict power. So 9/10 times a aftermarket system will make more power
Craig is the guy in the Ferrari in F&F lol
that Ferrari is more than Craig can afford pal...
lmfao I knew the VQ was gone be on here . Craig I do have a g35 sedan and yes I'm embarrassed to go out out with it bc of its bad rep. I've always said that young kids with these cars, no respect!
Go Craig!
Subaru boxer engines don't sound bad if done right, Same thing with the VQ. I have heard more than a fair share of Mustang and Camaro V6s that sound like 350Z/370Zs. I agree that straight piping is stupid, I'm still blaming you for all of the honda fart pipes running around lol.
Idk Lieberman... I've owned my 02 maxima 6 speed for almost 10 yrs now. I dont think I will be getting rid of my reliable VQ anytime soon. Btw it has a great sounding exhaust and it is not straight piped 😁
A cammed VQ can sound great. Unfortunately 99% of VQ owners just go the cheap way out and just do a cat and resonator delete and it sounds like a trumpet instead.
An addition to your #2 Craig, Mustangs with the Eco Boost I-4.
7 years with my E92 M3. I will never sell it. Ever. I have other cars that are newer to daily but I will always preserve my ability to fire up the V8 in that M3. Came to see if 2015+ M3 and Subaru Boxer made the list - was not disappointed. bonus points for Gen 1 Viper. I have a friend who had one briefly and it sounded pretty trashy.
People try to race me in my Datsun 510 because its louder than modern cars and has a GM synergy green metallic paint job. What do they expect! I've got 100hp! What am I supposed to do, materialize a racetrack out of sheer will? We're on the highway!
Not going to lie, as the list went on, I got more and more afraid I would see the Abarth 500 on there 🤣
Don't think they're very popular in the U.S so they probably slipped his mind. If he doesn't like pops and bangs he definitely wouldn't like the 500 lol
@@HendrickT-bi4iw I don’t think they pop and bang so much. At least mine rarely does and it’s stock from the factory. Lol
@@LanceCorporal_Waffles I actually live in northern Italy where they're extremely popular. I like them. But a lot of young guys map them here to make those sounds. And I could be wrong but I think some limited edition models come tuned that way.
@@HendrickT-bi4iw The only time I love bang and pops is when they are coming from actual Rally Cars or race cars. Now we have idiots in Audi’s and BMW’s flying down the streets of Southern California, flooring the accelerator and then letting off just so he can sound like a flurry of shot guns.
Well since you don't like Subaru's boxer rumble, what do you think about the ones with equal length headers?
Probably thinks it’s still shit 😂
Just sounds like a 4 cylinder nothing really special
I was expecting him to go harder on the Hondas, I was starting to sweat and stretch my collar hahahaha.
You were speaking of the VQ engine. DK's Nissan 350Z in Tokyo Drift comes to mind LOL!
Rocking That VGK! I like to see my home town jerseys out on humans not from Vegas! 702 Baby!
hey i love the way the vq sounds. But not with certain exhausts and especially straight piped or burble tuned, then its horrible
As a 370Z owner they can sound terrible but they still sound better than the 350Z and can actually sound pretty good with the right exhaust
