Hi Steven! Thank you. Apex is a great ship. I wish it had Le Voyage on it. I wonder if that could be added during the dry dock. Edge and Apex are missing this restaurant, as well as those little side pools near the Rooftop Garden.
The Apex was my first celebrity cruise back in March. Loved the experience! We had a deluxe porthole veranda and loved it. We booked an “all included” fare before they announced gratuities would no longer be a part of it. I feel like the “all included” fare is no longer worth it without it including the gratuities. That being said I would sail Celebrity again. Thinking about an ABC cruise on the Reflection in April.
I agree with you in terms of the all included rate not being worth it anymore. I actually have a video scheduled next week that will cover this in detail. ABC cruise is amazing. One of my favorite places to go. I haven't been on the Reflection yet. Let me know how it is if you go.
Hi Denise! I am glad you liked the video. I actually made an entire deepdive into all of the veranda rooms on Celebrity Cruises. Including Porthole Verandas. Here it is: ruclips.net/video/dOnndQ5lJk4/видео.htmlsi=Qy7rxcqoe6lX_z5w
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I had a lot of fun making it. We had no issues at all. No engine or power problems. She sailed like a champ. I asked a few crew members if they found out the cause of the power outage. It seems like it was a generator issue. It was fixed. You should be good to go!
We just did a 22 day back to back Celebrity Ascent. A 13 day transatlantic back to a 9 day Spain, Italy and Nice. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary so we went all out. We did the transatlantic at the retreat, magic carpet sky suite and the 9 day at the Aqua class. It was our first transatlantic cruise and although the ship is absolutely beautiful, we will not do a transatlantic cruise again, way too long at sea for us. The shows were great but we had to watch them back to back. Food was good not great with the exception of Eden, which for us was great. Loved Capt. Tasos who is funny, engaging and very good looking ☺️. My worse score goes to celebrity excursions. Limited, expensive and not worth it. We did an excursion at every port except in Nice, since there was nothing we wanted to do available, 5 months prior to sailing. The excursions are time crunching with very little time at the main stops and time added for shopping. TripAdvisor has much better options. All in all we had a great time but was it worth the cost 💲 in my opinion NO.
Thank you for sharing. This is really great feedback for everyone in our community. I appreciate you. Cpt Tasos is my favorite out of all Celebrity Captains. Excursions are always a hit or miss with cruise companies. I feel like there are a lot of great choices available. Some people skip them because they fear being left behind.
How does food compare on the Viking and Seaborne to mainstream cruises? One of these days, I'll sail on one of them to find out. I would love to hear your take on this.
@@tomsunday. I have cruised on Regent, Oceania and Azamara. Viking Ocean and Virgin coming up as my next two cruises. The food was the best on Regent, then Azamara, and third Oceania. It’s like the food in speciality dinning, combined with Luminae on steroids. Oceania and Azamara serve food “native” to area of cruise, often getting fresh seafood, meat, fruits and vegetables locally sourced. I have sailed seventeen cruises on Celebrity starting in 1992, and I have the MDR menu memorized. This is not the case on the luxury cruise lines. You definitely have to do it, at least once.

Thanks Tom! Great video! We love Apex! ...we may not be the biggest fans of the Infinite Veranda, but we still booked one of those for fall 2025.

Us too. We sailed in May with Apex booked again for next year! Could not fault Celebrity!

Great video Tom. Thanks for the details.
Thanks, Echo! I am happy you enjoyed it!
Great video. I am thinking about the deluxe porthole versus infinite veranda. Would be great to know the pros and cons if you have a moment

Awesome overview Tom! I'm more of a traditional balcony kind of guy instead of their new 'infinite veranda' option haha
I am glad you enjoyed the video, Pete!
Thanks so much for sharing this video. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
You are very welcome. I am glad to hear it, Temmie!
beautiful Video, we will be doing TA on Apex on 8th of March 2025
I am glad you liked the video. I hope you enjoy your upcoming vacation!
Tom - great video content as always! Did they fix their engine problems? Did you have any issues on your trip? Heading on Apex later this year.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I had a lot of fun making it.

Ok now get that conundrum back into the Celebrity premium package and I will be a really happy cruiser! lol

Had a fantastic transatlantic cruise on Celebrity Apex. Highly recommend.
Three thousand passengers! It’s like taking a small town with you. I’m happy you enjoyed it, but we’ll stick to small ships like Seaborne and Viking.

Many thanks. Great video
Thank you for your kind words. I am very happy to hear you liked the video.
Good video
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I don’t care for the infinite verandas. Would rather prefer a porthole veranda or sunset veranda.
Sunset Veranda is my favorite! I love those rooms on Edge class ships.
She and the Edge are both getting old. Ascent was great. Returning to the Edge was a bit of a downer.
Is there smoking allowed on this ship in the casino? That is a deal breaker for me.
No smoking or vaping in the casinos.
@@tomsunday is there a smoking area anywhere on the ship?
@BillWatts-fy7qq yes there is a smoking area on the top deck. Near the sunset bar. You can see it in my walking tour video.
