This was their 10th anniversary concert in fall last year (CDMX = Mexico City). "Evolve" is from their 3rd album, Error, and is often used as the show closer. Pau (drums) wrote it after watching a program on evolution. 1 of the 2 songs they played a couple months before this at the mtv video music awards, ""More" is the other one. Yeah, Wow. I was fortunate to be one of the 8000 in the crowd for that show. It was total fire. The Warning have a sound that is both new and familiar. It is certainly hard rock, but clearly influenced by their love of classic rock, metal, punk, K-pop, indie, grunge, funk, and many other genres including classical music. But they have taken those influences and forged a sound that is uniquely their own, and you know that it is them. At the same time simple and complex. What does it sound like to me? Refreshing. A sound that has caught my ear and made me interested in rock again after 25+ years of the same old playlist. While together their combined ages are about the same as many of us fans, their musical maturity is exceptionally high. Need another suggestion? You can't miss with anything from The Pepsi Center, or Teatro Metropolitan. There are some other great performances that will be recommended, because live is their superpower. I read about a dozen comments and I agree with everything they said so you cannot go wrong with any of the other suggestions. A couple of additional tips and hints: their second album Queen of the Murder Scene is a concept album or Rock Novel as I believe Dany (singer/guitarist) calls it and it's best enjoyed in order with the whole album available from the live show at Lunario CDMX which is older than the Pepsi Center but still excellent. Music videos for Disciple, Evolve, Error and their very first music video and track 1 on their debut album XXI Century Blood is also excellent and one you should get to so you can see their evolution. Speaking of evolution, their origin story begins with a cover of Enter Sandman when they were 14, 12 and nine years old which has approx. 25 million views. Years later they perform the song again with Canadian singer Alessia Cara for the 30th anniversary Blacklist album. Live versions at Teatro Metropolitan and Pepsi Center (with orchestra) are excellent.
And just imagine, they were sick. Bassist, Ale, and Guitarrist, Dany, recovering from the flu, while Paulina (Pau) was still sick and performed, sang, and screamed with the aid of prescription steriod.
They are amazing no matter where or when. Whether 50 or 50,000 people are there they are always giving it their all. The best live rock band I have seen in my 68 years.
And funny thing is that to me as fantastic as this performance is, it is not their best, the one at the 2023 MTV VMAs is a little bit better. For The Warning the entire Pepsi Centre concert is fire, so if you are interested in reacting to that, I have a playlist on my channel for it, with the songs in the setlist order.
Well, All I got is welcome to the very best Rock band in the XXI Century....there are no better songs than this one....every SINGLE one of their songs are Great....not a bad song in their entire catalog of 100+ songs...that's it!!

Drummer, Paulina (Pau - Pow) was 21 and Guitar/vocals Daniela (Dany) was 23. Bottom right of the thumbnails for this concert show little numbers. Those numbers correspond to the order in which they songs were played at the concert... WORD OF CAUTION - Pau sings like a bird, which you will figure out, but when you see her sitting at the piano, captions on, auto-translate to English in settings at the start of 'Breathe' because she talks to the crowd in Spanish a little beforehand, and have tissues ready. The same goes for Dany when you see her sitting with an acoustic guitar, captions with tissues at the ready. Also - for a change of pace from this concert, Pau sings the best cover of Radiohead's 'Creep' that I've ever heard - Instagram challenge, she learned it in 4 hours, broke it down, arranged it on the piano (they are all classically trained pianists since ~6 years old), and knocked it out of the park on her third take. These sisters rock so hard they knock your socks off!! They write most of the songs they perform; yes they do covers especially Enter Sandman (Metallica) roughly 10 years ago when they wanted to send a video file to their grandparents; the file was too big so their dad uploaded the file to YT and surprisingly it went viral! Metallica saw the video and loved it calling Pau the drummer badass at only 12. Fast forward several years Metallica asked the sisters to do Enter Sandman for the Metallica's Blacklist Album; but not as a cover, so in 10 days a reimagined Enter Sandman is now the 1st track of the Blacklist Album.
This show has no bad songs but only one from their latest album, that is fine, not because the latest album is not fantasic but because all the songs on their first three albums were great too. This is a 10th anniverary concert in their own country, imagine a band celebrating 10 years at 18, 21 and 23 three years of age. Some of the songs in this concert were written and first recorded when they were 11, 14 and 16 years old.
To quote John McLane, "Welcome to the party, pal" 😂 I've been a working musician all my adult life, and ill tell you, all four albums are phenomenal! XXICB is a masterpiece considering their ages at the time. QOTMS is a concept album, also a masterpiece. Error was produced here in Jersey by David Bendeth who's world famous. Anything from their Teatro Metropolitan or Pepsi Center shows are A+. Great live performances, as well as excellent sound quality. All those songs can be found on their official channel. If you feel like an official music video, they have plenty of them as well. That's just to get you started. Their TEDx performances (2016 and 2017) are another excellent recommendation and a must watch for any fan of this band. Also, their Lunario show where the played their entire second LP for the first time. A great concept album, and the Lunario show is a very nice way to experience it. The list of content from and about this band is very extensive. I don't know if you'd find another rock band anywhere in the world with so much content to explore. Welcome to the rabbit hole. This is one of their most popular bangers. You'll learn that they have a very wide range of musical influences, and that their music runs the gamut from soft ballads to heavy metal, with influences from jazz, classical, blues, country, folk, punk, K-pop, J-rock, rap, soul, and more. They are genre benders and blenders. You will not play a bad song from them, even going back to 2015 and their very first EP! I have all their albums and never skip a track. They are true professionals, and the good news is that they are all under 25.
This entire Pepsi Center concert is top shelf! (By the way CDMX = Cuidad de Mexico = Mexico City) This band is an outstanding live band! They stand up with any band you care to name IMHO. Try Hell You Call a Dream from this concert (new song to the crowd at the time) or Dust to Dust/Dull Knives.
So many reactors know nothing about The Warning, or have gotten wrong information about these ladies so this is a brief history of the band… and remember, The Warning is almost always better live than a music video or studio recording. You cannot get the passion and stage presence of a live performance from a music video. There are some exceptions but this is the general rule. The Warning is made up of 3 sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra Villerreal Velez. • They started early. Their parents loved all types of rock music and there was always music, or concert videos playing. They would spend Saturday evenings watching performances by Queen, AC/DC, Elton John, and many, many other bands. • In 2005 when Daniela was 5 years old and Paulina was 3, they were enrolled in music initiation classes- they loved it. Alejandra was only around 1 year old so she had to wait for her time but went through the same classes. • They all started classical piano lessons when they were between 6 and 7 years old. • In 2007 when Daniela was 7 years old their dad bought them the video game “Rock Band” and they completely fell in love with playing it. Dany played the guitar, Paulina was 5 and playing the drums, and Alejandra (being only 3 at the time) stood next to them and clapped along. They loved the aspect of performing on stage and dreamed of doing that. • In 2008 their dad asked Daniela if she wanted to learn another instrument (along with the piano). She chose the guitar. Around the same time Paulina chose the drums (she was 6). At that time Ale’ was still too young but when she turned 6, she wanted to play the bass but had to wait until she was 7 to be big enough to hold and play it. They then realized they could play those 3 instruments together and they began playing as a band. • In 2014 they were playing in their basement studio that their dad made (selling his Harley Davidson motorcycle to afford it) and decided to make a video for their grandparents to see how far they had progressed. The file was too big to just email so dad uploaded the video onto RUclips and sent the grandparents the link. The video went viral and was seen by millions (well over 25 million to date) include Metallica. Kurt Hammet shouted out Paulina on the drums. Here is the 2014 Metallica Enter Sandman cover from their basement studio affectionately called “The Warning Cave”. The girls wanted to go to the prestigious Burklee College of Music to learn musical theory and more and were trying to raise the money to do so. Ellen heard this and when they were on the show, she (and Target) presented each of the girls with a check for $10,000 so they could attend. • Because Alejandra was only 10 years (well below the minimum age to attend) they sent in an audition tape to show she was capable of handling the music and classes. Here is that audition tape of them playing Muse’s Hysteria at a school “end of school year party”. This is a bass intense song. Pau sings lead on about 25% of the songs (either while drumming, or while at the keyboard, or just out front). Ale’ is a little shy about singing lead but steps in and sings lead when needed. All 3 can literally jump in and sing lead on any song if needed (with no drop-off in quality) and their harmonies in songs are simply amazing. • They have all given master classes on their instruments, and song writing, and performing (even at as young as 18 years old). • In 2015 they released an EP called Escape the Mind. It was a mix of different genres as they sorted out their musical style. • They released their first album in 2017 called XXI Century Blood (21st Century Blood). • They released their second album in 2018 called Queen of the Murder Scene. It was a concept album telling the story of a young woman’s journey from desire, to love, to infatuation, to obsession, to psychotic, to murder, to remorse, and finally to suicide. It was an amazing album and was up for, and won, several Independent Music awards in 2019. • In 2021 Metallica asked 53 artists to take any of the 12 iconic songs from their Black album and do a cover (any way they wanted to) for their Black List album, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Black album. Alessia Cara (Canadian pop star) was asked to participate but had no idea what to do. Because she shares the same management group as The Warning, she contacted them for help. It was difficult to do as Alessia was in Canada and The Warning were in Mexico and travel with COVID was not happening. They made it work and developed/recorded this completely re-imagined song in one week. They created the music video with the same logistical restrictions. Because of that you will see that Alessia appears as a projection on the wall in the video as she was not there. It was recorded in an abandoned textile mill outside of Monterrey, Mexico. Lzzy Hale was so taken by the band and in particular Daniela that she presented Dany with a special Gibson Explorer guitar on stage mid-concert. There are videos out there of this and Lzzy does not shy away from telling this story. • Here is a 2022 professionally shot concert to give you an idea of their skills, their power, their stage presence, and their writing abilities. The Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert was their most important concert to date, as they were playing in Mexico’s most prestigious theater, and they were the only act. The 2-night event was sold out and they just killed it! The actual concert starts at around the 2:00 minute mark and it is timestamped so you can see each song title. Your problem is that this is the best songwriting band since The Beatles. The difference is that The Beatles produced the occasional "filler" track but these girls never do. BTW "CDMX" is just the abbreviation for Mexico City (they're from Mexico, in case you don't know that) just llike "NYC" is short for New York City.

A couple of additional tips and hints: their second album Queen of the Murder Scene is a concept album or Rock Novel as I believe Dany (singer/guitarist) calls it and it's best enjoyed in order with the whole album available from the live show at Lunario CDMX which is older than the Pepsi Center but still excellent. Music videos for Disciple, Evolve, Error and their very first music video and track 1 on their debut album XXI Century Blood is also excellent and one you should get to so you can see their evolution. Speaking of evolution, their origin story begins with a cover of Enter Sandman when they were 14, 12 and nine years old which has approx. 25 million views. Years later they perform the song again with Canadian singer Alessia Cara for the 30th anniversary Blacklist album. Live versions at Teatro Metropolitan and Pepsi Center (with orchestra) are excellent.

Drummer, Paulina (Pau - Pow) was 21 and Guitar/vocals Daniela (Dany) was 23. Bottom right of the thumbnails for this concert show little numbers. Those numbers correspond to the order in which they songs were played at the concert... WORD OF CAUTION - Pau sings like a bird, which you will figure out, but when you see her sitting at the piano, captions on, auto-translate to English in settings at the start of 'Breathe' because she talks to the crowd in Spanish a little beforehand, and have tissues ready. The same goes for Dany when you see her sitting with an acoustic guitar, captions with tissues at the ready. These sisters rock so hard they knock your socks off!! They write most of the songs they perform; yes they do covers especially Enter Sandman (Metallica) roughly 10 years ago when they wanted to send a video file to their grandparents; the file was too big so their dad uploaded the file to YT and surprisingly it went viral! Metallica saw the video and loved it calling Pau the drummer badass at only 12. Fast forward several years Metallica asked the sisters to do Enter Sandman for the Metallica's Blacklist Album; but not as a cover, so in 10 days a reimagined Enter Sandman is now the 1st track of the Blacklist Album.

This is a 10th anniverary concert in their own country, imagine a band celebrating 10 years at 18, 21 and 23 three years of age. The great beauty of their art is in its simplicity but all of this always seems to be at the right time and in the right way, bordering on perfection, with sophistication predominating.

Anything from their Teatro Metropolitan or Pepsi Center shows are A+. Great live performances, as well as excellent sound quality. All those songs can be found on their official channel. If you feel like an official music video, they have plenty of them as well. That's just to get you started. Their TEDx performances (2016 and 2017) are another excellent recommendation and a must watch for any fan of this band. Also, their Lunario show where the played their entire second LP for the first time. A great concept album, and the Lunario show is a very nice way to experience it.
The list of content from and about this band is very extensive. I don't know if you'd find another rock band anywhere in the world with so much content to explore. This entire Pepsi Center concert is top shelf! (By the way CDMX = Cuidad de Mexico = Mexico City) This band is an outstanding live band! They stand up with any band you care to name IMHO. Try Hell You Call a Dream from this concert (new song to the crowd at the time) or Dust to Dust/Dull Knives.
So many reactors know nothing about The Warning, or have gotten wrong information about these ladies so this is a brief history of the band… and remember, The Warning is almost always better live than a music video or studio recording. You cannot get the passion and stage presence of a live performance from a music video. There are some exceptions but this is the general rule.
The Warning is made up of 3 sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra Villerreal Velez.
• They started early. Their parents loved all types of rock music and there was always music, or concert videos playing. They would spend Saturday evenings watching performances by Queen, AC/DC, Elton John, and many, many other bands.
• In 2005 when Daniela was 5 years old and Paulina was 3, they were enrolled in music initiation classes- they loved it. Alejandra was only around 1 year old so she had to wait for her time but went through the same classes.
• They all started classical piano lessons when they were between 6 and 7 years old.
• In 2007 when Daniela was 7 years old their dad bought them the video game “Rock Band” and they completely fell in love with playing it. Dany played the guitar, Paulina was 5 and playing the drums, and Alejandra (being only 3 at the time) stood next to them and clapped along. They loved the aspect of performing on stage and dreamed of doing that.
• In 2008 their dad asked Daniela if she wanted to learn another instrument (along with the piano). She chose the guitar. Around the same time Paulina chose the drums (she was 6). At that time Ale’ was still too young but when she turned 6, she wanted to play the bass but had to wait until she was 7 to be big enough to hold and play it. They then realized they could play those 3 instruments together and they began playing as a band.
• In 2014 they were playing in their basement studio that their dad made (selling his Harley Davidson motorcycle to afford it) and decided to make a video for their grandparents to see how far they had progressed. The file was too big to just email so dad uploaded the video onto RUclips and sent the grandparents the link. The video went viral and was seen by millions (well over 25 million to date) include Metallica. Kurt Hammet shouted out Paulina on the drums. • Another person who saw that video was Ellen DeGeneres and in 2015 the girls made their US debut on the Ellen show. The girls wanted to go to the prestigious Burklee College of Music to learn musical theory and more and were trying to raise the money to do so. Ellen heard this and when they were on the show, she (and Target) presented each of the girls with a check for $10,000 so they could attend.
• Because Alejandra was only 10 years (well below the minimum age to attend) they sent in an audition tape to show she was capable of handling the music and classes. Here is that audition tape of them playing Muse’s Hysteria at a school “end of school year party”. This is a bass intense song. • Dany sings lead on about 75% if the songs. Pau sings lead on about 25% of the songs (either while drumming, or while at the keyboard, or just out front). Ale’ is a little shy about singing lead but steps in and sings lead when needed. All 3 can literally jump in and sing lead on any song if needed (with no drop-off in quality) and their harmonies in songs are simply amazing.
• They have all given master classes on their instruments, and song writing, and performing (even at as young as 18 years old).
• In 2015 they released an EP called Escape the Mind. It was a mix of different genres as they sorted out their musical style.
• They released their first album in 2017 called XXI Century Blood (21st Century Blood).
• They released their second album in 2018 called Queen of the Murder Scene. It was a concept album telling the story of a young woman’s journey from desire, to love, to infatuation, to obsession, to psychotic, to murder, to remorse, and finally to suicide. It was an amazing album and was up for, and won, several Independent Music awards in 2019.
• In 2021 Metallica asked 53 artists to take any of the 12 iconic songs from their Black album and do a cover (any way they wanted to) for their Black List album, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Black album. Alessia Cara (Canadian pop star) was asked to participate but had no idea what to do. Because she shares the same management group as The Warning, she contacted them for help. It was difficult to do as Alessia was in Canada and The Warning were in Mexico and travel with COVID was not happening. They made it work and developed/recorded this completely re-imagined song in one week. They created the music video with the same logistical restrictions. Because of that you will see that Alessia appears as a projection on the wall in the video as she was not there. It was recorded in an abandoned textile mill outside of Monterrey, Mexico. • In 2020, after 7 months of negotiations they signed with Lava/Republic records and went straight into the studio to record an album.
• In 2022 they released their third album (first since signing to Lava Records) called Error and is amazing! It was done in 2020 but sat because they could not release or tour with it because of Covid.
• While touring in 2022 they opened for The Pretty Wreckless and Hailstorm. Lzzy Hale was so taken by the band and in particular Daniela that she presented Dany with a special Gibson Explorer guitar on stage mid-concert. There are videos out there of this and Lzzy does not shy away from telling this story.
• Here is a 2022 professionally shot concert to give you an idea of their skills, their power, their stage presence, and their writing abilities. The Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert was their most important concert to date, as they were playing in Mexico’s most prestigious theater, and they were the only act. • In 2023 they opened 4 shows for their absolute idols Muse in Mexico City in front of 60,000 fans. Muse was so taken by The Warning’s performances that they asked them after the 4th show to go to Europe and do 5 more shows with them! Matt Bellamy was so taken with Daniela that he presented her with a one-of-a-kind Manson guitar.
• In 2023 they were invited to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards. They were the only band to perform that was not up for some type of award. Only about 6 people in the crowd even knew who they were but as you can see from the 2 songs the audience quickly fell in love with them-
