Hi and thank you for highlighting my hometown heroes my idols and my friends Big Country. This show was extremely special. It was the first live public performance by a Western artist in the Soviet Union EVER! This was three years before the AC/DC, Metallica and Pantera show you mentioned. Stuart was genuinely proud of that as he was a man who wanted the world to unite and come together as one. The pause/breakdown near the end is where us fans usually sing the song bit he forgot he was in Russia, nobody spoke English and they didn't actually know who the band were lol. You can see the slightly embarrassed look on his face for a sec when he comes back in. 😆

Good comments here on this beautifully tight, quality performance. It seems strange for someone wearing an AC/DC tee shirt to prefer their pop music over their later heavier stuff. Hat’s off

Hello, nice to see you again with reactions to ABBA songs "Waterloo" (1974) is one of my favorites, and is in my Top 5 of all ABBA songs (with S.O.S. , Dancing Queen, The winner takes it all & Don't shut me down) and I think that is the song that change history, not only for ABBA, for Sweden and Eurovision too "Waterloo" was the song that ABBA wrote especially to participate in the annual Eurovision Song Contest By the rules of the competition the songs could not exceed 3 minutes (that its 2:46) and ABBA made a masterpiece! He didn’t have flu. He had a bleeding nodule on a vocal cord he took massive dose of steroids and had an ent on call so he could do this show. He later had surgery to repair. He always sits in live shows where he sings this.

I love both the original and this amazing cover. Erik and Jona are a dream team. They were bandmates in HEAT, wich Jona still are with. Erik and Jona also had New Horizon together, but when Erik left Skid Row last year he also left New Horizon. Jona are now joined by Nils Molin, vocalist in Dynazty and Amaranthe. They released a new album together last year, Conquerors. Wich are about historical figures and events. Jona also plays most of the instruments in Eriks covers and does mix, master and production. 😀🇸🇪
