Too bad about the yield but at least the weathers good. We got started on beans and kinda disappointing too. First small cut up farm with lots of trees made around 44 but the better ground looked like it would have been close to 60 will be lucky to break 50. Too dry late season to fill the top pods. Always next yr! Keep up the good work
Ur not alone my guy our beans are “not so good” either. Got hit hard this spring with all the rain and then got baked in the sun this fall. Had a few fields that were way below average.
Ethan you got them machines singing sorry about them deer though... you know Gods bounty comes with a price.... weve gotta feed his wildlife yah know...
We've got deer and groundhog damage too, so you aren't alone in your frustration. While getting parts the other day, noted a lot of beans coming up in early harvested fields due to shatter loss. Shelled one little strip of corn today after opening a path to a small piece of beans surrounded by corn. Curious to see what the moisture test is...may do more until the beans are good to go.
Hey Ethan, we dropped from 31% to 23% in 8 days (southern Indiana). I bet that corn will be ready quicker than you think even if you waited until it was around 16%.
I know what you’re going through. Our 81 acres went 40bpa, and prime dirt of 33 acres went 46bpa. Deer did a lot of damage. Killed 26 over the summer and start of deer season but corns gonna seem like a worse crop due to damage
Gotta love farming the rough stuff lol. Can’t say much mine is all the same. What’s your fertilizer program for beans? Mine has been 100# dap 150# potash
Nothing beats the smell of a fresh cut hay field
Your combine starts and runs so smooth,
Thanks
The smell of alfalfa.....and sound of the corn chopper!! 😆
We kinda knew it wasn't going to be great, but it was worth trying to stay positive 😂😂. Hope it gets better. Thanks for the video. See you later.
Thanks.
That's awesome you're getting more acreage!

Yeah we have to feed them, but do they have to eat that much?
Would enjoy watching the last fields get ripped. Hope you can get to it.

Lots of harvest loss on the early cut fields here.
Ethan, hopefully you'll get some rain but not like last year. Thanks Michael
Oh how things change year to year.

Night time temps getting close to the 30s and daytime temps finally getting reasonable for October have slowed drying.
@@Oliver66FarmBoy We just fell off the cliff down south too.
Good video

All of our beans are gonna average about 20 bushel this year, but atleast the best spots are along the road
That hurts.
Too bad about the co-op cant take those beans. Hope the weather doesnt sneak up on you.
Weather doesn’t look like it will be a problem.
Be nice if the state would allow depradationtags ,that would help with the deer
They do. They are a pain to get.
