Good stuff! I see you have done this before. I will probably have to watch this 500 times to catch all of that information and that is perfect. Loaded with info and no wasted time to sort through. Great video, thank you for all of the info.
Many many thanks for this. I am new to Pixinsight and finally managed to get a half decent M31 image out of it, but when I tried the same techniques with M33 it didn't work - especially I found the issue with HDRMultiScaleTransform that you found. So I am going to work through it all again from scratch using this video as a guide. Many thanks!
Keyvan, I don't think you'll be disappointed, its a great tool to process images with and so many tutorials on RUclips to help you get used to it. Kind regards Ian
Marc, thanks for watching, yes you are correct, that’s what the official focal length is but the ASIair pro when plate solving gives a reading of 863mm. I believe it can vary a little depending on set up etc. clear skies, kind regards Ian

....and I know just enough about PI now that I was able to keep with you 🙂
Hey Ian, I am working on exactly this and you just convinced me on getting PI. Thanks!

Nice! What is bortle number where you collected data? What is integration time? What is SNR of combined unstretched image?
Nice. I have that scope. I recall the focal length is 840mm???

Beautiful work. I just cannot follow because it’s too fast and I’m new to PI.
I need some more focal length :) Thank you for the video!
Thanks for watching, kind regards Ian
Much too fast, not enough time to really look which buttons of PI are used
