Last time I was a something like this was back in the early 80s my boss brought an excavator kobelco huge machine needed six boards on each side of the trailer great place great video thanks Brandon and Madison
Yeah that place is big. I attended the Mid America Truck Show with a friend in March of 2007 exactly 4 weeks after having my hip replaced. That was the most walking I had done after the surgery and I had my doctor's approval with advice to rest often. It was just a day trip for us but it began about 4 AM and ended at 9 PM. Y'all enjoy yourselves.
I worked for our irrigation district cleaning the silt out of the canals prior to filling. I have probably spent a 1,000 hours running one of the old Detroit powered, Drott wheeled excavators. It was pretty cool though, once you finished a stretch of canal you could simply road it to the next spot, 1 man operation, no semi or trailer required.
That's cool!!....I really want one for brush mowing I think it would be great because alot of the time tracks are not nesscery I'm on fairly good firm ground
They’re affordable. One nearby me with only 1,773 hours, auxiliary hydraulics, thumb, mower, and both a tooth and straight bucket sold for $13,000. It almost had that much in new tires, hoses, and attachments alone. Drott made excellent equipment, but sadly they’ve been forgotten by most. 😥
Hey Brandon I had fun thanks for taking me along 👏. WOW that’s a lot of nice equipment, glad you guys are enjoying yourselves. Looking forward to seeing more 👍
Here in Europe, these mini excavators on wheels are often used on railways. They then have four small wheels with flanges, driven by the tyres (in the opposite direction, if I'm right). They can grab things (using a rotating grapple almost by default), they may have a lorrie connected, they can serve as a man-lift (many railways here feature overhead powerlines). Some major railway works here in the Netherlands may have a webcam working 24/7. These minis are the real workhorses. RUclips has poor search tools. There is some channel like "Red from Iowa" who featured bigger ones on American railroad tracks, around April 2023. Not as lively, though.
Yrs ago at are state fair in Hutchinson Kansas bobcat had a pile of loose soil and a small excavator. People were truing to pick up a ping pong or golf ball.
There was something going on with the contest because George filled out the online form to do it and never even got a schedule time to do it like he was supposed to...which is fine whatever I'm not upset it's all for fun anyways
His insights are very appreciated, he is very knowledgeable
Thank you!
