Yeah I'd go with the Guzzi in that group. You can add a windscreen & a tail bag to transform it into a light tourer.
Over the T100 it comes with...
    Shaft final drive
    6 speed trans
5.5 gal / 21 litre fuel (range is up to the task)
4 piston ft Brembo caliper & 320mm ft floating disc
2 piston rr Brembo floating caliper & 260mm disc
    Same tire sizing as T100
12 lbs lighter holding more fuel.
    Fork brace & gators.
    Bonus:
    Seat comfort
Large & bright LED headlamp on the standard Stone models
Cool Italian marque, hand built in Mandello del Lario in Italy along beautiful Lake Cuomo. Where, you're invited to attend their annual open house.🙂

At the moment. I'm torn picking between the Z900 RS and the Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber. I tried the V7 Stone Demo bike at the nearby dealer.... and I dunno. Maybe it was the unit itself, but when it was crawling during traffic situations, the engine would just die, and I'd have to start it up. I also found the gear box to be finicky. I couldn't find Neutral at all during my test ride, and I found the suspension to be that on par with my 2019 Ninja 650. The V7's torquey as hell, but I wasn't too comfortable on it for some reason. My lower back ached weirdly enough. I've test ridden the v9 bobber sport 2 years ago and I still think about it to this day, I really loved riding that. Ergonomics wise I was comfortable on it, but on highspeeds on random bumps, kinda hurt. Strangely enough, the Z900RS where I'm from is way cheaper than the Moto Guzzi V7 about $2,600 dollars cheaper. I've never ridden an Inline 4 before, which ever bike I'm going to pick is gonna be for keeps, and I do prioritize comfort for long distance touring, as well and do love the occasional cornering (within my limits). I wish the kawasaki dealers here in the Philippines would provide a demo unit of the Z900RS, to really help me with my final choice of bike. Would you still recommend the Guzzi over the Kawasaki for my particular case?

hey Sinbad, just curious, how tall are you? I find the V7 to be a bit smaller than I would have liked. The Z900RS feels more 'the right size' for me. I'm wondering if maybe the V9 bobber is bigger and that's part of why you like the ergonomics more? Truthfully I don't know a lot about the V9, and I've never ridden one, I can't tell you fairly which one is or isn't better. I think with the Z900RS you're getting a bit more of a "known" thing. It's a Kawasaki, they've been doing this in-line four universal japanese motorcycle for half a century, you kind of know exactly what you're getting... but if I were you, I'd find a way to test ride an in-line four cylinder motorcycle before putting money down. Not a supersport. Ideally something like a CB919, just to get a feel for the motor and how it makes power. Make sure it's for you. Let me know what you decide!

@@YouMotorcycle i’m 5’5 tall. I managed to sit on a z900rs and i was slightly tiptoeing on it. I wasn’t a ballerina but i can flat foot it on one foot if needed.

All beautiful bikes. I know people who are scared of the kawazaki and they owned them. They didn't just test ride them.

They should test ride them! They're nice and smooth and the power is linear down low

If you had to choose one bike would you choose the Z900RS or the V7?

I was doing mental gymnastics for a few minutes trying to pick one of the two. You could set both of them up for touring if you wanted to. The V7 has simplicity, the Z900RS has a reputation for reliability... At the end of the day for me the Z900RS fits best. It also handles having a passenger very well. The V7 is a bit smaller, not much room for a passenger, so if I could only have one bike and it has to be one of the two, Z900RS for those reasons.

I have both and wouldn't want to get rid of either! Kawasaki is all about the performance, and the Guzzi is all about the character. Both are good-looking, comfortable, reliable motorcycles. Maintenance is easier on the Guzzi.

mai provata la Triumph. Però ho provato la V7 2023 e dopo 2 km sono sceso, odio le vibrazioni. La Triumph vibra?

è molto più fluido rispetto alla v7. Have you checked out my Best Mid-Size Retro Motorcycle (for me) series? It's seven episodes in and it compares the V7 750 vs the Triumph Bonneville 865, and the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. You sure do have a unique take on things. A Bonneville lacking in character? In which galaxy is that?

    • @YouMotorcycle
      @YouMotorcycle  9 месяцев назад +3

As someone who's owned multiple Bonnevilles, a V7, several BMW and Harley-Davidson's, the Bonneville has always been lacking in personality as much as my Japanese bikes have comparatively speaking. It doesn't make them bad, it just makes them feel generic. Maybe the older ones had more charisma? My Year 2000 and newer were all average. What do you ride?

@@thepodbaydoorshal right but saying a Bonneville has more character than a Japanese bike is like saying dark grey is more colorful than black. Yes, yes it is, but it's no red.

Have you ridden a V7? You should try one man, you'll love it. The character of the engine with the transverse mounting is really something.
I own both a 2001 Bonneville and a 2016 V7ii. I don't think the Bonneville lacks character but (imo) the Guzzi definitely has a bit more so I understand the statement.

This video is silly.....you show an old, air-cooled Bonneville SE, which is indeed boring. Yet, you compare it to much newer bikes.

    • @YouMotorcycle

lol, your comment is silly... Why are you expecting someone shooting a video in his backyard to have a fleet of brand new vehicles? Two of the bikes are mine, the other one was on loan to me. Some people might want to see how they look side by side to get a better sense of size, finish, geometry, etc.
