COOK THEM FELLOW KAT ENJOYER (also ty for all the info as always) (also promo megakabu still dies to heavens cos its only not affected by Digimon Effects, but it still improves the yellow matchup a lot)
Thanks for the kind words big dawg! Also OH CRAP YOU'RE RIGHT. Heaven's Judgement absolutely doesn't work! I should have used an example like the Rapidmon's instead. I'll pin this correction so other folks will know!
I'm from Argentina and i have probably the most expensive Gallantmon Deck in the country (over 2000 US dollars) with Ultimate Cup Alters of the BT12 Line (4 Guilmon, 3 Growlmon, 1 WarGrowlmon and 1 Gallantmon) But i'm nuts about Gallantmon it's my favourite Digimon of all time. And another detail, i don't have max rarity either: I like to have different arts (except for Guilmon and Growlmon from Ultimate Cup, Takatos Alters) for example i have one CM Alter and another Common art, one Gallantmon BT13 Alter and another common
green scramble is really neat for tyrant because the deck has removal without needing to attack, or at the very least it lets you get back to a promo megakabu to then threaten aces again. gives the deck a little bit of comeback. shiva ace is also super good vs armors, because unless they have a way to trigger magnaX's effect they cant really swing.
Looking forward to TyrantKabuterimon coming to the english side. 4:34 I didn't quite understood the point of MegaKabuterimon promo. Unless the card image is with the wrong effect, he is still affected by options right? So Heaven's Judgement would still kill it right? For me it looks like a good card for the inherit to prevent sec effects. And with Heaven's being such a threat for the deck, it's interesting that they wouldn't play the normal Shivamon since it stops heaven's. The opp would need to deal with Shiva first with a digimon effect before dealing with Tyrant. Nice video.
Yeah this is my mistake! Poor example. You're absolutely right, it would die to heaven's judgement, but it wouldn't die to something like a rapidmon or magnaangemon/angewomon ACE! Thank you for the correction!
Hello! As far as I experimented, MegaKabuterimon brings in a lot of utility. The inheritable is great for extra damage, something the deck indeed needs, and, for being also immune to opp's digimon effects while suspended, it is a great ACE threat, thanks to Shivamon ACE, and can server as fodder if the opponent has something that can overpower your Tyrant. Evade also helps in matchups where options attempt to delete your guys, namely Beelze, to absorb the Seventh Cluster Deletions. Thing about BT8 Shiva is that you either pass 5+ memory to lock, or, after going to Tyrant, you gotta delay it by a turn. If you pass that much memory, it can be easily removed by most decks, save for Terriermon, and if you delay a turn, well, bombs may fall down independently. I personally think BT15 Hercules is a better choice as it can serve as a secondary boss monster in the deck. Relying on Tyrant and not seeing it during matches hurts. Hopefully this helps.
I still really like your build of Tyrantkabuterimon with the Rhinokabuterimon, at least until the promo is out. Being able to jump straight into Tyrant for cheap feels really good, especially if you can make it cheaper with the Stingmon under it. Promo MegaKabuterimon is just such a huge upgrade over the old starter deck MegaKabuterimon and helps in some awkward match ups.
That red player was beating people’s ass. Agumon deck gives me fun memories of getting beat up in bt6. For heavens judgement, I was having this discussion with a friend. Card is obviously good, but I don’t think the card should be limited, other cards should be released of a similar power level. Having strong removal that isn’t good in SecCon I think is good for the game personally.
Man that chase sec alt art gallant mon crimson mode is so pretty, i wouldnt even be mad if i lost to that full red covered card being blast evoed against me lol
I have so many questions for that gallantmon list, I wish I could ask the guy who built it. 1. Why not play a higher count of the new guil/growl cards to synergise with megiAce? You can pop 15k dp digimon with both inherits 2. No option removal? How are you dealing with tyrant? 3. Why calumon over something like digimon emperor? Emperor has a higher chance to stick around since it's a tamer 4. Why the ST growlmon? Is the memory gain really that much better over increasing your DP deletion by 2k? 5. Why 3 rush guilmon? To combo with scramble? Seems pretty inconsistent but I haven't played with it so I wouldn't know 6. Is bt12 gallant that much superior to bt17? Gallant is in a format with lots of big DP digimon, and only having 4 copies (total) of digimon that actually bumps Gallant's DP by 2k seems incredibly risky. Remember that raid gallant is 12k base, he's really tiny lol 7. Is bt17 wargrowl really that good that it warrants 2 copies? I guess unsuspending after raiding to go into crimson to blitz for game is nice, but beyond that, I think the +2 memory from bt12 wargrowl might be more practical?
The starter decks look fine, still need more support to be competitive, including ex7. That being said, both have a new playstyle which is always welcome and fun. I can see them getting a lot of support in the future, as they're the new poster child for the TCG.
I can see Blue Hybrid being countered by something obscure like Etemon, lol. It doesn't NEED sources (source strip also helps with filling trash), immune to bounce and can redirect, ignoring the "can't be blocked" Or maybe Galacticmon and its 5000 sources
I thought DP minus was a game mechanic so it bypassed the "unaffected by effects" wording. I thought it needed to specifically say "cant have its DP reduced"?
How does it work? You mentioned that if megakabuterimon with evade is dp subtracted all the way to zero it can still stay on the board? Shouldn’t it be trashed caused it’s deleted?
The example I use is not there best because if the source of the dp minus is an option megakabutetimon would die because its effect prevents it from being effected by Digimon effects when it was rested, but in the case that something like monzaemon have bird minus, its dp would go to zero, trigger the evade and then when rested the invulnerability would kick in nullifying the effect. Hope this helps!
Unaffected basically means "currently ignoring effects" so Evade triggers when game rules attempt to delete and by becoming Unaffected the -DP stops applying so game rules also stop trying to delete
I’m pretty certain it would still die. If it is reduced to 0 DP, it can evade to try to avoid deletion, but game mechanics would just kill it again for having 0 DP. Even if it gains the effect while suspended to not be affected by digimon effects, it’s already been affected and it’s DP is at 0 so it should still be deleted unless they rule it a weird way.
I'm newer to the game and trying to get an idea of card viability. Would Valkyriemon or Phoenixmon be worth building? I've been considering building them since Hawkmon and Biyomon are my two favorite partner digimon. But it'd feel real bad to buy the decks and then they're not any good. 😅
I guess to answer your question, I’d ask what your goal is? If you’re focusing on only on winning tournaments, it would be an uphill battle but if you’re looking for something has some power behind it, and uses your favorite mons, Phoenixmon is not a bad choice at all!
@East_ML thank you, I don't need to win tournaments, but I'd at least like to be able to compete and not just go 0-X if that makes any sense. Looks like phoenixmon it'll be
Yeah, this is my mistake! Thank you for catching this! It would die to heaven's judgement, but it wouldn't die to something like an Angewomon/MagnaAngemon ACE! Thank you for the correction!
@@benjaminwiseman6567 the thing that makes it not be deleted by digimon's DP reduction isn't the evade, but the other effect, that makes it immune to opponent's digimon effects if it's suspended. If it was a digimon lowering it's dp the moment it uses evade it becomes immune to the effect that lowered its dp, which results in it going back to full dp
I’m newer to the game so it’s tough to get a read on card quality, how bad is the new sakuyamon support? Could I take a game at locals once in a while with it?
Sakuyamon is a challenging deck because you have a useful toolbox, but you need to have the right tools at the right time. You might struggle against decks with big walls like the armor cards, or that have lots of destruction. If it's the only deck in the game that interests you, I'd say build it, but if you're focused on winning more, maybe give something else a shot and then build sakuyamon on the side.
I think he's saying that he would become immune to the effect that gave him the DP Reduction. Monzaemon X > Play Digimon > Neg 8k DP > DP = 0 > Evade to avoid deletion > All turns not effected by Digimon effects when rested > Ignore Monzaemon X DP reduction > Live.
you can, but still would be deleted by having 0 DP after suspending (unless you have a Lopmon or Terriermon from ST on the stack or similar). East got confused with the kind of protection that MegaKabuteri ACE has (which is the same as TyrantKabu)
It depends on the source of DP reduction in this case If it's from Digimon, you can cheese it, if from options or tamers, then it dies. Evade simply let's you suspend if you would be deleted, it does not state how you'd have to be deleted, so 0DP Deletion is fair game. It's just that usually, you stay at 0 DP, making it pointles to evade, use protection or armor purge
I didn't notice it at first, but now that you mention it, I can kinda see it. Let me take a look and see what might be causing it. Thanks for catching this!
I’ve been using this build style of replacing training/memboost options with the new tai and Kari tamer and it’s been working out really nice actually. Definitely give it a shot!
Sadly it fails to properly support Red/Black Greymon as a whole as it requires your whole stack to die just to play one tamer and gets bot decked by trainings/mem boosts, which is already a negative with the deck as a whole. It's clearly intended for Omni Ace jogress, but it's also pretty nice in Agubond.
@@abdullahali2184 not really how I intend to use it. I plan to try and play a more aggro playstyle while I build my main stack in the back so I can keep chipping away at it. I also think being able to delete a 10k or lower by building a small stack with a Koromon and BT14 Agumon is very nice. I feel like putting this in your main stack would be super dumb anyway lmao
I really do not understand the purpose of BT12 Gallantmon in the BT17 environment. Wouldn't BT17 Gallantmon be plainly better? After all, it is a tool that can get huge DP, allowing the deck to go over some walls, can grant blocker, which makes it less vulnerable to Magna X and Numemon, can delete lvl6s due to the 8k deletion, and is even immune to aces and options when the memory is 0 or less. BT12 Gallant in the meanwhile completely relies on inheritables to even dream of dealing with most lvl6 mons, trashes a security which is more of a deteriment, especially in the Magna X matchup, and, due to the reliance on attacking to remove, is more vulnerable than ever to ACEs, especially thanks to cards such as Paladin ACE that can source strip the dp boosts.
