- Join us as we explore the breathtaking Tamini Ghat during the pre-monsoon season! Our adventure began at the IBIS Hotel in Hinjewadi, where we set off for a day filled with scenic views, delicious food, and unforgettable experiences.
Our first stop was for a mouthwatering Maharashtrian meal of mutton bhakari and chicken bhakari, which was incredibly delicious. As we journeyed through the beautiful Tamini Ghat and the Western Ghats, we took in the stunning sights and lush greenery.
We paused at the Mulshi Dam backwater to soak in the serene surroundings and enjoy some wild jamuns plucked from the nearby forest. From there, we headed to a nearby viewpoint where we savored some of the sweetest wild mangoes.
On our way back to Pune, we enjoyed a refreshing jaggery tea and had Misal Pao for evening snacks. After a day of sightseeing and culinary delights, we returned to our hotel and capped off our adventure with a delicious dinner before heading to bed.

When you go to Tamhini ghat during July or August, i suggest not to go in water in the lake. This is not lake. It is in fact back water of Mulashi dam. The water is extremely deep and there are lot of vertex formation when dam is full. It is very risky and hence the suggestion. I belong to Pune currently in Hyderabad so know this ghat section as my backyard. Did lot of trekking on various forts during my college days.
