    For switches one of my most commonly used commands is show vlan brief. Another useful command I use as a Network Engineer is show version and show inventory. Very helpful when trying to open a Cisco TAC case. Even though Cisco doesn't like it, show run | section is very useful when troubleshooting specific areas like SNMP configurations. One last thing... Never run a debug ip packet on a live network, you will have a bad day.

      Great addition to the list of commands! Yes, I was trying to show what it was like to be overwhelmed on the screen easily...but didn't take time to setup like an bgp neighbor mismatch which would have flooded the screen plenty
