While on the phone with FN customer service they claimed that they’ve gotten a lot of these complaints and supposedly every single one that’s been sent in to them didn’t actually have a problem. I call major CAP on that one. I was shooting yesterday at 20 yards and had to aim a foot right and a foot high to hit my target. When I did hit the target it wasn’t even close to my sight picture. my Reflex has been an tac driver right out of the box. The only thing that worries me is the extremely light trigger pull. Yours is accurate also, the sights just need lined up. Raise the front site and move it to the right slightly and you'll be all set. No big deal.

Bought Reflex last week. Shot it out of box. Spot on 7yards. Let a friend try. He was spot on. Loved it. Ive tried many pistols and the Reflex is right up near top out of box! Many things play into accuracy. Trigger/finger/grip/offhandgrip/eyes/pointof aim/grip angle/ so hard to believe its all on the pistol folks
Mine is shooting low left and was having jamming issues. They said I can send it back but need to be broke in with 124gr ammo. So I went to the range started shooting and on the 5th magazine it did not cycle so I ejected magazine and there was a small round locking clip looking piece that fell out. I left the range came home and tried to disassemble slide and it got stuck. Had to pull the 2 pins and remove firing unit. Put it back together and seems to function but have no idea what that little round piece is that fell out. Any thoughts?
I believe front sight is to tall and rear sight looks good but imma drift it over right and shoot again. Using Kentucky windage I was able to stack round on top of round 5-7 yards but something definitely up with irons
I put 50 rounds through a rental. I really liked the gun. Good trigger, surprisingly not as snappy for a gun this size. I’ll admit that I’m no marksman. I want to get one but I might either wait a year for any problems to be sorted or perhaps a red dot will fix the accuracy issue? I hope your problem gets resolved.
Lol that’s a dishonest answer from a gun expert. If the gun is shooting all over the paper in wild groups that’s an actual accuracy issue. You even admitted in the video it could be solved with a red dot. Fix the sights, or replace them. These issues are easily resolved, and issues with new firearms are common out of the gate.
Not only do I have the Reflex so does one of the guys who runs my local range. Neither of us have any issues with low left shooting in either of our guns. We are using the sites that came with the guns with zero modifications. I wonder if FN made a few changes to the more recently manufactured Reflexes.
Mine did the same. I did a basic zeroing of my green dot off the sights right after purchase and went to the range. The first shot threw me off for a second. I thought it hadn’t been secured properly, but after checking it was good I figured I just didn’t rough zero it correctly and just aligned my dot. It’s been fine since, but yea, after seeing your results and others, I’m positive I have the same problem. On top of that, after 200+ rounds I’ve had a failure to return to battery in practically every mag and have to bump it in. It’s really soured my experience with this gun. I’ve read other people’s are having the same issue to usually a lesser extent, but FN is saying the same thing they told you about the break in nonsense. I don’t doubt some guns need a little time to fully get smooth, but malfunction after malfunction is not the same thing. Not to mention, none of my guns have ever needed this extensive a “break-in” period. From my hammer fired Sig229 to my cheapo Taurus G2c, all my Caniks, etc, they’ve all ran like butter right out the box, with my MC9 having one light strike 50 rounds in, but then running like clockwork multiple thousands of rounds after that. It’s really made me doubt this gun to say the least. Also sucks this is my first FN and I’m not impressed in the slightest. I’ve had so many buddies, gun shop guys, and media folks talk up their FN’s, but, this thing has me wondering if some of these were built by another company, or who knows what, because, this thing probably isn’t gonna stay with me long if its recent deep clean and light lube doesn’t solve the issue by 300 rounds. I don’t see how a company would use oil so gunky that it’d cause the weapon to constantly fail right out of the box, but, I entertained it, cleaned it, and await range time this Wednesday. So disappointed, even though I plan on selling it, if you’re reading this, I wouldn’t recommend this gun at all.
Mine did that too. I was shooting factory Fiocci. The extractor was square and would catch the rim while going into battery. Removed the extractor and rounded off the bottom. No issues now whatsoever.
This makes me want to buy one just to see what it will do . I see another well known youtuber shooting steel at about thirty yards on a defense range and loving this gun .
One guy says you have to replace the iron sights with the Sig #8/8: TRUGLO Fiber-Optic Handgun Night Sight | Compact Durable Snag-Resistant High-Visibility Red Front & Green Rear Sight for Handguns in order for the iron sights to work.
11 hours prior to watching this video. I sold my reflex for experiencing the same accuracy issue. I put approximately 800 rounds(different brands and weights) of ammunition through this firearm to no avail. All my shots/groups hit the target low and left of the bullseye at 15ft. Spoke to FN which stated the firearm was tested prior to leaving the factory. If it was shooting the way I described it, it wouldn't have left the factory. FN also stated it needs time to break in. I believe that approximately 800 would be considered broken in. I must say this about the Reflex. It has a great trigger. I did not have any type of malfunction and it felt great in the(my) hand. Back to HK.....
In the first shots in this video from the side, while lining up the sights, the muzzle is aiming downward. Either the front sight is too tall or the slide is not machined out to the proper spec
I had the same issue, low and left. I adjusted the stock sight, pushing the rear to the right, and while it moved the POI, it was still low and groups were not great. I was frustrated but had put Sig XRAY sights on my FN509M. I got another pair of XRAYs(#8 front and rear) and put them on the Reflex. It shoots POA/POI with the sights centered on the slide. FYI, I pushed both sights out from right to left no issue after a drop of Slip2000 on the dove tail over night.. Got over 1k through the gun now and it’s been 100% reliable.
Mine as well...my Halosun is maxed out to its right limit and still not 100% zeroed! What a joke...doesn't even seem a call to FN will be of any use after reading what their response has been to everyone else! WTH
It sounds like FN made a production change to the sights on the Reflex at some point. But like Springfield and the hellcat trigger issue, I bet FN won’t comment at all - either for liability sake or because they don’t want to have have a mass influx of returned Reflex pistols to have to change sights out on.
I have this same issue with my Springfield Hellcat. My buddies have also shot my Hellcat and they are better shots then me. Yet, they hit low and left just like me.
@@hixnada8278 I think it up to the shooter. For me, the grip of my support hand was critical to not pull left and low. What defensive rounds do y'all use for y'all fn Reflex anybody?? I use Hornady in my 45 but I'm having feed issues with the same ammunition with my Reflex
One of the best and logical reasons the FN Reflex shoots low and left is because of equal tension with the pinky finger as the other two fingers. Less of that pull with the extended magazine. Other than that, this gun shoots as good as ANY other micr-9mm. Not a sight problem at all if that was ever brought up. Hope I worded that to understanding. In a nut shell and with the smaller mag, your pinky is the issue. 15 round? I'm grouped dead center at 7 yards.
Thanks for making the video and saving me and others $500. I was going to buy one but after seeing your video and reading reviews, now I'm looking else where. I really wanted to like this gun cause I think the FN 509 is a well made full size 9mm and still considering getting one.
Just realign the sights to a center hold from the combat hold like all the other micro pistols out there then put a cowitness style dot or just go dot. Problem solved.
Lol it’s so obviously a sight issue. I’m not sure why so many people in the comments along with this review consider it accuracy issues 😂. FN should have much higher standards in customer support to get this corrected. Sig had issues with the 365, and made the corrections. A red dot would be the answer, but co witness is a must. So if new irons need to be purchased that would be my suggestion if FN won’t make it right.
I agree. This is a common theme on Sig forums...."Why does my...shoot low?" Most of the time, it's the combat hold, sometimes, the wrong combination of front and rear sights. I'm this case, I wonder if they understand that "combat hold" means the dot on the front sight is your POI when your sights are aligned. You place the dot on what you intend to shoot, not just the front sight. A lot of people think "6 o'clock" hold is "sights on target," so when they go to what they believe is a "combat hold" with a "center hold" and are still too low on their hold. As far as the shooting left, part, yeah, seems like some drifting is in order. I had a Sig P229 that consistently shot left. I thought it was all me,til I got a new one, I sent to GrayGuns, because I wanted the legion trigger in the classic Sig bobtail frame. When that one came back, it came back a tack driver. I thought it was a grip issue with me, as the P229 grip is a little narrow for me. When I shot the GrayGuns upgraded one, I decided to change the sights on my old one. I marked the slide for the placement of the old sights and measured. With the sight on you couldn't tell, but with it removed, and just the lines, you could see, the rear sight was off center. I measured it, again and instead of placing the new sight in the same position as the old one, I placed it centered..I went to the range and brought my drifter to fine tune, but I didn't need to. It was dead one center all the way out to the bullet trap (20-25yards). I think those sights need some drifting. That's essentially what is going to be done with a red dot.
Reference to the FN REFLEX has FN attempted to correct the problem of left to low pattern, or are they still saying it is the shooter? They say use the combat sight but that does not improve the group. The vice will still not shoot any better group. FN will lose on this pistol unless they become honest. Your life depends on the pistol you carry. FN be honest!
Also FN, come clean with the extractor issues as well. Many people with FTF issues, me included.
Maybe the tester at FN is a Leftie?
I'm carrying a Walther PPS in 40cal and was wondering about this one.
Tight group so the barrel is good. Gotta be the sights
I’m not sure what it could be
Lol that’s a dishonest answer from a gun expert.
What no. Is your reflex?
Imagine selling a gun with adjustable sights lol
@@mattmurphy7030 just a pos pistol
thanks for the honest review
I’m getting low left also! It’s always risky buying firearms that are new to the market. You get what you get! Might sell it I’m not sure.
In the first shots in this video from the side, while lining up the sights, the muzzle is aiming downward. Either the front sight is too tall or the slide is not machined out to the proper spec
I had the same issue with Glock 43, and no matter how hard I tried or changing ammo, it was the same result.
I can't seem to get the tlr7x on the gun idk what I'm doing wrong
Thank you for speaking the truth. I was thinking about getting one but maybe not.
Good to hear!!
FN also told me it.... Was me. Then one friend, then another shot, all low left.
I puchased a #8 rear sight and will adjust for windage
So what can you do to fix it with open sights? change sights? shorter sights?
So did you find out what’s up with the pistol?
Mine shoots low left too!
I figured that I couldn’t have been the only one
@@Guns_and_Outdoors_Channelmine shoots low left as well looking for a fix
@@Bstoy21 Same here. Just bought one and it shoots well group but low left. It's defintiely not a one off issue or the shooter.
I see this video is from 10 months ago. Is there any update on the issue?
My Reflex had the same issue. I replaced the rear sight with a #8 Sig (non 365) and lined it up with a laser bore sight. Fixed it completely.
My newly purchased reflex still does the same too. I also bought a #8 and it's still in shipment but I have high hopes.
Damn I hit the left nostril was aiming for the right. 🤦♂️
I have this same issue with my Springfield Hellcat. My buddies have also shot my Hellcat and they are better shots then me. Yet, they hit low and left just like me.
Mu guess it is a sight issue. If not, there may be some misalignment in the mechanism. That would suck.
Question?.... You mentioned that FN claims that they tested them and are shooting accurate... Are they unlike you are using Optics?🤔
This is a barrel fitment issue not a sight issue. New sights would be a bandaid on the problem
Mine is shooting low left and is not just me shooting it. Its frustrating
I've got two Reflex's, I thought both were shooting low left... They were not, it was my grip....
Good to know. Can you please clarify what grip you used?
@@hixnada8278 I think it up to the shooter. For me, the grip of my support hand was critical to not pull left and low. I run weapons lights on all 3 and I use the light like folks use those gas pedals, my hands are to large for those gas pedals, so I use my lights. BTW, I have added a 3rd Reflex to my collection now. I really like that trigger.👍
@@CookieMonster_1969 Three Reflex’s? That’s awesome. Don’t feel the trigger is too light safely carry? Seems a lot of folks are saying wait for the manual safety version if it ever comes out.
@@hixnada8278 In a proper holster, no. The trigger is protected from being pulled.
Although, that being said, I am not willing to appendix carry. I carry at the 4 o'clock, in a secure Kydex holster. 👍
Do you think this is all the reflexes or just maybe yours ? Just curious
I cant even zero my red dot in still shooting low.. cant adjust for it. Not my first rodeo
Was shooting about 4 inches low with red dot. Now with red dot maxed out im about a inch low at 21 feet. Im glad a pro is showing this video
Watched the review by honest outlaw and his was the same as yours low and to the left.
What defensive rounds do y'all use for y'all fn Reflex anybody?? I use Hornady in my 45 but I'm having feed issues with the same ammunition with my Reflex
Fn owes us our money back. I hate my reflex and fn 509 needed a HD striker to be reliable and the trigger is garbage on my 509
One of the best and logical reasons the FN Reflex shoots low and left is because of equal tension with the pinky finger as the other two fingers.
I bought one today. Maybe I am screwed.
Just say you messed up, shave down our extractor pins, and apologize and compensate us for doing the QC you should've done.
Honestly, I should've just bought the 43x or 48. Would've saved money and time.
Honest guys tryouts .I read more of other experts say same as you ..low and left ..my thinking is manufactured not correct straightness caliber ed wrong ????
I wish FN would admit it, but bureaucracy holding them back for some reason.
I have no accuracy issue with this firearm
Not an accuracy issue..... A sight issue as pointed out by others. Put a red dot on it and try again.
nothing wrong with the accuracy. hits same spot every time. sights are just off
Nice gun though
So it's not accuracy, the groups are good and consistent. The barrel is probably ok. Did it occur to you that it could just be a sights issue.
Seemingly their customer care s*cks.
O noo!!!!! Its the end of the world you might have to push ur sights !! 😂😂
😂 Agreed. Windage was not problem, elevation on the other hand. And if it’s doing that at 21 feet what would it do at 75 feet.
@@Guns_and_Outdoors_Channel at 75 it would probably be right on as far as elevation
@@Guns_and_Outdoors_Channel fn sights it firearms in with 124 nato at 25 yards same with Springfield
@@mikes8915 this is what is wanted to see, It matters what the distance and round the sights were dialed in at. With how tight the groups are i doubt its a bad barrel.
@@Guns_and_Outdoors_Channel75 ft? You know this gun wasn't created to shoot that far. It's a Micro pistol. Show the reflex some love and shame on FNH for not making sure the sights are zeroed.
Why not just adjust the sights? I mean it is a micro 9. It's not a combat gun so it's more of a get the f off me gun then a precision firearm.
Shoot it like a revolver one hand
That’s about the only thing I didn’t do. Lol
@@Guns_and_Outdoors_Channel try it and see how good it is.

Adjust your signts, big deal.
You can only adjust left to right dont fix the problem with shooting so low genius
Drift the sight big deal, almost every gun I own I’ve had to drift sights a tad, move on dumbest thing to make an entire video about, accuracy and 30 ft is silly, lost high end guns start accuracy claims at 25-50y (75-150 ft) drift the sight move on.
No. It’s the wrong size rear sight, drifting won’t account for it shooting so low.
@@KennyRodgers930 distance will, was it sighted for 7 yards?
