Couldn't be happier w/ my S21 Ultra! Got off Amazon Refurbished a month ago. Battery life is okay but from my experience it does seem to drain somewhat quickly when you have 120hz enabled. 60hz tends to extend life significantly even when in WQHD+, but overall that's the only complaint I have about it you can't ask for much more from a 3+ year device. Performance is also great, haven't had it run hot (yet).
It also has that week of learning your habits and all. In that time period it uses a lot more of the battery. After that is done it should stabilize on battery consumption.

It doesn't feel dated at all. As good as any current flagship release.

i just bought the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra this year. waiting on it to come in, brand new and sealed. i paid $400 for the 512GB & 16GB of ram has the Snapdragon 888 i got a Great Deal. why pay $1600 for The S24 Ultra that would be Ridiculous and a waste of money. this phone is great my brother has one that he bought back 3yrs ago paid $1300 that was a lot of money back then. and he still using it today. still going strong. and the camera is Superb. I recently just broke my s21u. Is it worth it getting an s22 ultra. One thing that im kind of bummed about is the s22 not having aptX. So is it worth that temporary upgrade. Or waiting for the s25 series since its coming out around dec-feb?

Hell no. It looks trash. Had significantly worse battery life. The whole phone was just half-baked.

Watching on my Galaxy s20 ultra. Love this phone. 6.9" display and it still seems snappy. Display is wow. If this phone breaks i will be getting it fixed. No more updates but it still does all i need and then some. And still plays codm no problems

@@_WF23 It surprisingly fits without any issues in my pocket. I thought that, that would be an issue. My eyes aren't so good do to a medical issue and I can actually see this phones display. That's another reason why I got it was the size of display.

@@markoroncevic Mine seems to do good. I mean it's not great but it's definitely not the worst phone on battery. WQHD+ resolution definitely drains battery. So I keep mine on FHD+. And if you're interested in getting the s20 ultra I would advice not putting a live wallpaper as that is going to eat up the battery as well. After this phone learns my habits and all I would expect the battery life to get a lot better.
@@markoroncevic also it's good to mention that I do not charge my s20 ultra to 100%. I have mine set to charge 85% battery.

@@_WF23 I honestly do not get why everyone is so concerned about updates. "Besides" AI features Google has not offered any major changes to their platform. Neither has One UI. Sure at times an update will fix specific bugs/issues but past that there's has been nothing to really rave about. And as far as Iphone 😆 they have a ways to go to even come close to Android. Always at least 5 years behind.
My point is, is that sure these newer phones are cool, they look cool and all but at a price point of $1,200-$1,600 why would anyone spend that kind of cash on a phone when more than likely you will be upgrading in a year anyway?
You were talking about the s22 ultra and that is feasible as those are running what $380 on Amazon.
But to settle for a phone based only on updates is kind of redundant. There are still people rocking the s5-s10 with no problems with function because of lack of updates. I have the s20 ultra and all I get is security patches every 3 months now. I just got a Google system update June 1st.
I have no issues with my phone. I like it a lot. Now I didn't have to pay for this s20 ultra as I had someone give it to me. But I've had the s23, s22 ultra, s21 ultra, a54 5g, a51 5g, a52 5g. And out of all of those phone the s20 ultra is by far my favorite. The phone is stable, display is massive, battery life is surprisingly awesome, it's really fast. My s23 was glitchy and just acted weird from the time I took it out of the box. I'll never spend more than $400 on a phone again after that s23.
In my country the s21 ultra and normal Samsung s23 are at the same price which would be a better option

@@Qwiftly I think S23 wins the performance and performance 'availability' segment. The Snapdragon 8gen2 was a SIGNIFICANT upgrade over the SD 888 and 8gen1 in terms of performance, thermals and battery life. As long as you can look over the fancy gimicky features of "ultra" line-up, S23 is the better device.

S21+ = 200 usd
S21 Ultra = 300 usd
S23 = 400 usd
I decided to save some money and buy the S21+. Yes, I do miss the Ultra's form factor. But, would I pay an extra 50% price for it? Hell no!
The only technical downside is price for s23, so if you're gonna go for refurbished device maybe go for s23 fe refurb.

@user-li6ns2lk3z if your already getting the s21 ultra 128GB might as well, the good news is they finally got rid of 128GB and you will be able to find the s23 ultra next year for around that price with higher storage but if I'm gonna be honest with you at the price they are charging it shouldn't base at 8GB RAM or 12 but 16GB considering 7 years support and AI becoming more and more demanding these ram aren't gonna be enough 3-4 years later
