Nice work, one thing I missed and regret not doing was welding a nut in place for the brake stop plate.

The 2inch 3M 40 grit sand paper for a grinder works very well. Green color sand paper. Cheers

So glad I found your channel. I'm have just removed body on my 68 and need a lot of replacement parts, might just go full frame head like you.
Did you use anything to protect bare metal before shooting the epoxy primer. I can only work on it every now and then and don't know best way to protect bare metal before the full on primer coat??

Hi mate yes epoxy is the best to put over bare metal its sealer so can stay in that and won’t rust over while you do the rest then when you come to paint it if it’s longer then 7days I believe some epoxy are different you just give it a good key then a wet coat of epoxy then your top coat

how did you get to weld the whole frame head on? as in lining it up straight too?

Measure measure measure that’s all I can really say I took loads of measurements from the original one to set points on the pan and if you look online you can find the proper measurement as well then tacked it in place and just kept checking I’ve seen some people make jigs as well

Do you have a video of when you welded the frame head to the tunnel? I am doing mine soon it would be good to see as the removal of the head video helped.

no sorry I tried to cover it best as I could in this video the tunnel slides into the frame head upto the raised bit that I pointed out then plug/seam welded just keep measuring as much as you can tack it in place measure again wish I got it on video now I was moving house at the same time so had a lot on.

@@chrismorfitt7642 No worries, I think your video was the first I have watched that pointed out where the tunnel runs to. Great stuff keep it going.
