Unlike modern migrants, the British who started modern Australia did not sail into an established society with infrastructure, health, education and welfare systems in place, and take a slice of wealth created by another culture. They had to start from scratch. Migrants don't come for a slice of anything that aborigines created. They want a slice of the wealth created by white people. When they step off the plane, they start to benefit from my taxes and my parents' and grandparents' taxes.
very very good, very underrated comment. Never thought of it from that perspective. Especially to all those migrants/immigrants/others who use the 'Aborigines were here first' argument, or in my case the Natives in Canada. I'm going to use this argument, with your permission of course
You need to read an economics book. Migrants aren’t coming here for handouts, they’re coming here because we’re willing to pay them more, because they have skills we want.

2021.. preduction.:expect a lot more Asian & Indians. Average income will have plummeted . Housing affordability is unsustainable. And debt at an all time high..

A Sweden level country on one of the largest and richest continents that could have produced a superpower given a bigger population. Ethnocentric, insular, raw-minerals extracting nation states never produce anything of greatness. As we become more like the USA, we will finally be a nation of great power instead of a low level second power.
